Only a few days left before start of expedition of the 7 Summits Club on Everest,. Preparations are underway in Moscow, but most of them are going on in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, under the direction of our permanent “Director of Sherpas” Mingma Gelu.

The pride of the 7 Summits Club is our team of Sherpas. It began to take shape in 2003. Thanks to the hard work, above all, the permanent leader of the expeditions, Alexander Abramov, an efficient, friendly team was created.  They clearly understand  their role and knows how to help climbers to achieve their goal. This year, 24 employees from Nepal, Sherpa nationality, will be  sent to Tibet with us to work as guides, high-altitude porters and cooks. They received a new set of clothes and are finishing preparations for going to the base camp.

Hello from the base camp  of Carstensz Pyramid! Project "Seven summits in seven months" continues. Today our team, in good weather, had a great training session on ropes. We have climbed the first five pitches of the route up. Worked out movements on jumars: vertical fixed ropes, horizontal. After that, we worked down the rope.  We went down five pitches on descenders. Well, in general, the team is almost ready to summit climb. In the afternoon we rested and slept. Now it's eight o'clock. We have dinner and go to bed. According to the plan, a rise in 1 a.m. and in two we got to go climbing. We hope to successfully climb tomorrow and safely descend to the base camp. If everything goes as we plan, the day after tomorrow we plan to fly by helicopter back to Timika.

On March 19th, 2019, a group of 7 Summits Club, guide Boris Yegorov and three  members, climbed the second highest summit of the Kenya massif, Nelion peak, with a height of 5188 meters. To the highest point, the peak of Batian (5199m), it was decided not to go, not to get to the "cold overnight".  Simply, there was not enough day time.  Now the group safely descended to the foot of the summit and Boris Yegorov sent a large selection of photos from the ascent.

Snow fell, the mountain turned white.  So we turned relaxed and decided to have a rest tomorrow.  We have  for a rest one more day in a stock. And while, we plan to storm the day after tomorrow.
