The information from Aconcagua.
Our trip began from tiresome flight to Buenos Aires. Then the period of continuous failures began. Three bags with luggage have disappeared, were not delivered in a terminal point. In result the group was divided into two parts. Four persons were engaged in search of luggage. Unsuccessfully. They were compelled to catch up with group and to buy on road equipment. February, 4 group was joint at last.
February, 7.
Today was an outing for acclimatization. We have climbed up to Plaza Canada on height of 4900 meters. Practically always on approaches to Aconcagua it is very hot and at the same time the cold wind blows. The wind abates – become too hot, the sun comes down - very coldly.
February, 8.
We pass in the following intermediate camp at height of 5300 meters. It names Nido de Condores. Everyone feel on høïð altitude differently, but we have no serious deviations from norm. As always the strong wind here blows. But tent MSR if it is correct to arrange in relation to a wind, shows excellent aerodynamics. Inside tent is very silently.
February, 9.
The group has gone down in the base camp on rest. On it ours acclimatization is completed. To get shower we stood in a queue. Then we were waited with excellent dinner. All goes under the plan. Now the main thing - weather and health.
