For modern leading adventure travellers - climbers it is very important to find new original ideas. With each year it becomes more difficult. Geri Winkler the 49-years Austrian, has found a way to become the first person who has made an ascent on nine thousand meters high summit . It is necessary for this purpose simply to climb Everest, having started from the bottom point of a terrestrial land - from the Dead Sea (a minus of 410 meters). The project interesting, but there is one more important detail: Geri has diabetes of 1-st type

Winkler was a climber and was fond of run on long distances before disease. It is possible to present, what was a shock from the diagnosis of doctors in 1983. The diet, the injections, the limited physical activity – that is their typical verdict. But, fortunately, progress of a modern science gives millions patients chance to conduct an active way of life. And among examples for them, Geri Winkler - one of the most outstanding. Marathon runnings, bicycle travel through the Baltic Countries, solo-trekking through Sahara and three of seven highest peaks of continents. However the new target is much more all previous in complexity and possible(probable) subsequent glory. Now Geri is in a way (he is in Iran), general extent of a route which it(he) overcomes of 7600 kms without the help of mechanical means, and difference of height up to top of the Everest - 9 258 meters.
