Yesterday we received the tragic news: our friend Grigory Korisch was killed in Switzerland during his backcountry skiing. He fell down into a crack.

Gregory has just returned from a successful expedition to Aconcagua. Before that in January 2009 he has climbed the Mount Vinson with our international team. From July to November 2008 he has climbed Elbrus, Kosciuszko and took part in the unique expedition to the Carstenzs Pyramid.

It was very cheerful and swinging person.

It happens Sunday morning at 09:00. A 42-year-old Gregory was heading down from the Saleina glacier to Praz-de-Fort. He was following a guide down after the two were left on the glacier by a helicopter. Grigory fell 15 metres, into a crevasse when a snow bridge was broken under him. A rescue team arrived quickly, but he was already dead.
