The airport “Mineralnye Vody” is one of the largest airports of the south of Russia. This is an International Airport of the first class. Overall passenger throughput at Mineralnye Vody can reach 2000 passengers a day and more than 10 tones of cargo and mail.

The airport is the transport center of the famous resort of Caucasian Mineralnye Vody. A lot of people come to rest and to treat in Pyatigorsk, Kislovodsk, Yessentuki, Zheleznovodsk and the well-known mountain-skiing resorts Dombai, Teberda, Arhez and others. These resorts have become widely known because of their wide availability of various types of mineral waters, soft climate, pure air, mountain rivers and lakes, and the highest peak of Europe Elbrus (5 642 m above the sea-level). You can find a VIP-lounge, a Duty Free Shop in the aerodrome complex. Nowadays the airport building construction is underway (for the next 3 years). The second runway is being built as well. This will be a new, modern runway in accordance with European standards.
