Yesterday, 16th of April, we have celebrated the Easter of the Western world. We ate at breakfast cooked eggs. A part of group, that stayed in hotel Snow Land, has bragged of night adventures. At night a monkey has occupied a toilet, terribly showing canines and loudly growling. Nyalam - a surprising place: here on streets - dogs, monkeys, yaks, children in a tatter. The poor houses, the water drain in general is absent, or the pipe from a house comes to an end in 2 meters from a wall. Thus there are excellent internet-cafes equipped with the newest computers, headphones, webcameras …

At 11.30 we have left Nyalam and directed to the true Tibet, to Xegar. In one hour we have passed fivethousands’ pass, with spectacular view on Xixa Pangma. Through a pair of hours we have stopped in Old Tingri for lunch. After lunch we have bought bananas - unexpected luxury found in nearest shop. After we fed cows and yaks with rinds from bananas.

At 7 p.m. we reached Xegar (4200ì) - rather modern settlement. We have lodged in hotel " Chomolungma " is real "Hilton" in comparison with Nyalam. In the hotel there is a hot water, a bath, an electricity, the TV. After supper we have visited local shops on searches of mutton and some trifles for base camp. During evening communication Maxim Onipchenko from base camp has informed, that now strong wind blows on Everest. They tried to put tents in ÀÂÑ, but a wind has broken 3 tents - it was necessary to change arches.

Alexander Abramov today since morning has left to the base camp to prepare for all for arrival of group. And we have left for small climbing tour - in a monastery near Xegar, located on an abrupt hill.

In lowest part of monastery we saw 6-meters Budda’s statue. Further we climbed by different routes, the most part - by normal footpath. Others had chosen a direct route in a forehead on ruins of a fortification, that very much reminded easy rock-climbing routes. The top of hill was covered with prayerful tags – it made a web, difficult to go through.

So, the last acclimatization outing was completed. Everything is all right, only one thing - headache hurts some members. It is normal at such height.

Tomorrow we move to the Base Camp of the Everest.
