Start of the Vinson Expedition

November, 18 the first participant from our Antarctic expedition team (7 Summits-Club) has taken off for Antarctica. It is Vladimir Pushkarev, a climber from the city of Nojabrsk of Jamalo-Nenetskiy autonomous region. Vladimir is 32 years’ old, he works as a designer and carries out the project « Seven Summits » with our team. He has already climbed highest summits of Northern and South America, the top of Africa – Mount Kilimanjaro. Vladimir will climb the Mount of Vinson, together with Alex Abramov and his friends. And then he hope to find in the Elswort Massif an unclimbed and anonymous peak. And after ascent on it to give it a name - Peak Yamal.

Vladimir Pushkaryov devotes his extreme project to a 75-anniversary of Jamalo-Nenetskiy autonomous region. Travel of the Siberian became possible due to help of the regional administration.
