April, 27. Winter is still there.

Snow is falling several days. The Weather is unusual - there was not such bad conditions for last four years. It seems, that winter was not finished yet and spring has not come yet. Usually there were dusty storms, strong wind, and only sometimes snow dropped out. Now everything is covered with snow. We move up with big efforts.

Yesterday group of Igor Svergun (5 person) has left base camp. Today, 15 more persons under management of Alex Abramov and Sergey Kofanov has moved to the Middle Camp, on 5800 meters. Tomorrow we plan to reach ÀÂÑ, on height of 6400 meters. Then - one day of rest in ÀÂÑ and an outing on the Northern Saddle of acclimatization.

The expedition team as a whole feels not bad. Though two persons (Vince and Tornbiern) have left us because of problems with health. 3 more persons have left us according to the plan. So we were 40 persons, remained 35, but it is still a lot of. Sherpas also feel well. All 20 persons work on a route, now they have already reached altitude of 8400 meters, have fixing cords. Today two Sherpas have left for 8300 m to occupy good places and to start to put tents.

Everything goes under the plan. Only the weather brings some correctives. Since morning - the sun, and after lunch - heavy snow.

Tomorrow the third group leaves the base camp, it is group of Harri Kikstra and Australians. Also with them doctor Andrey Selivanov go up and, probably, Sergey Chistjakov with him. Sergey is our internet manager. Since May, 1 we plan to start our project with two web-cameras. The first one will show on-line life in the base camp. The second - will show the weather situation on the Everest. With updating in each three seconds. I think we will be pioneers in that, so it is interesting to ourselves, as it will work. Our cameras are quite powerful , with enlargement in 48 times. So we hope to show process of an ascent of Everest. And may be even an exit members on the top.
