Expedition of the 7 Summits Club to Antarctica.

December, 3.
All team has gathered in Punta Arenas. The intense preparation has borrowed 3 days, gathering of things and purchase of products of 500 kg. Now we are ready to fly away to Antarctica for an ascent on the highest summit of Antarctica – Mount Vinson 4897ì.

Well-known climbers from 8 countries are part of our command. The head – Alex Abramov from Russia, leader of 7 Summits-Club project. Vladimir Aristarhov from Russia, he already have been in Antarctica. There he has understood, that the best way to dilute spirit mineral it is use mineral water with gas. Everest climber, Heroes of Ukraine, Igor Pohvalin will play a role of the doctor of expedition. American climber John Christiana also aspires to end the program of 7 summits. He already was on Everest with our Russian team and has remained pleased with an atmosphere of friendship and a high level of service of our expeditions.

Karo Ovasapyan was born in Iran, has grown in Armenia, has matured in Sochi, lives in California. He is "cement" of our expeditions, very nice person and the strong climber. Êaro is going to finish the project of 7 Summits and to become the FIRST ARMENIAN on globe which not only has conquered 7 summits, but also 2 Poles of the Earth. On North Pole he was together with Vladimir Aristarhov. Karo was on Everest in 2005, he managed to reach the summit of Everest less than for 6 hours and then to go down to the ABC camp for one day.

Besides, a purpose of our expedition - to prove, that climbers can eat "PEDIGREE" 2 weeks in conditions of low temperatures and the big heights. And thus not to howl after. This way we want to erase artificial border between human and wildlife.

Punta Arenas has met us with gale-force wind. This city was based by Magellan and Drake, it is obvious not on that place where human life is possible. Having visited Museums of Magellan, Maria Tereza and a night club Nonos we were once again convinced of it.

Today we should take off for Antarctica. However a wild bad weather, grasping the most part of continent Antarctica, does not allow us to hope for flight. Sometimes here expeditions waited for 3 weeks. I am afraid, that in a similar case we shall be compelled to bypass all local "museums" on 3 times.
