Russian Mountain Guides Association has summed up the first two training modules that took place in June 2011 in the alpine base Bezengi. The meeting was held within the exhibition Ski Salon in Moscow. Recall, that guides of 7 Summits Club Alexander Abramov, Lyudmila Korobeshko, Denis Saveliev and Chekulaeva Oksana were invited to this course by the Bureau of Russian Mountain Guides Association. School cadets are trained by standard  of IFMGA / UIAGM  under the guidance of Canadian teachers.

 

 

The National Mountain Guides School of Russia will continue its work in 2012. Students waiting for "avalanche ski-module" to be held in Austria from 10 to 25 January.

The key issues in the “round table” were the charter and the structure of the Association and the budget of the upcoming season. Following the meeting the following decisions were fixed.

 

Structure

The supreme governing body - the General Meeting of the Association. The assembly meets at least one time per year. Decision-making by majority vote (50 +1). Members: individuals and legal entities. The requirement for members of the Association: Experience tours from 3 years, presence of recommendations, an annual membership fee (in 2012 the contribution is - R5000).

Current management of the organization - Presidium (Bureau) and President, elected by General Assembly for three years. The Bureau shall meet at least 2 times a year.

Executive board. The Executive Director is appointed by the President of the Association and is a member of governing bodies.

Budget

The budget of the Association and Guide School are formed from 3 main sources: the sponsoring partners, travel agencies, contributions from members and students of the School.

The founders of the Association include: Sergei Zon-Zam, Maxim Balakhovsky, Nicholay Veselovsky, Alexander Glushkovsky , Andrei Volkov, Alexander Davydov, Alexander Abramov, Alexei Shustrov.

At the end of the meeting, all students received jackets from sponsors tests – an innovative design of GORE-TEX ® Active Shell ultra-thin three-layer membrane. Other sponsors include clothing Red Fox, boots Meindl, equipment Petzl.

School of Mountain Guides - Russia, Bezengi (Eng)

In June 2011 here took part first modules of National Mountain Guides School - thanks to mutual efforts of Russian Alpine Federation and recently created Russian Mountain Guides Association. Its students are leading Russian guides and instructors, people, whose main occupation is mountain affairs. The main School purpose is escalation of student's calcification with client's services.
