Go Martina go! You never know who will and who will not be smitten by altitude sickness. Next time you go to altitude you might be fine.
Just after Xmas I will be on the mountain (for my 3rd summit) with my fiancee who has had two hip replacements and major spinal problems, plus a whole bunch of friends. Our plan (mainly her determination) is to get married at the top as the sun rises on the morning of 1/1/11.
When we get back down the group will be destributing more than 1000 items of clothing, and boxes of school supplies, to the orphans of the region.
