News of the Elbrus region.  A new group of the 7 Summits Club named "Snow Runners" has started the program of preparation for the ascent. Today we went to the Ai cafe, where we spent about an hour of time for acclimatization. We admired the views of the surrounding peaks, as well as Elbrus. In the afternoon, we went to the rental, took the missing equipment. Tomorrow we are going up to the shelter National Park, where we will continue to prepare for the ascent of Elbrus.  The group's guide is Andrey Berezin.

 News of the Elbrus region from the “May Bugs Jazira” group. Today at 9 am our group climbed on the Western peak of Elbrus. After several days of snowfall, strong winds and low temperatures, a window of beautiful weather finally formed, which fell on the day of our ascent.  From the top and on the approaches to the top, mountains in huge numbers were visible, including the Main Caucasian Ridge, the Turkish Highlands, and the Transcaucasia. Now our whole team is at the hotel, enjoying a well-deserved rest.

Andrey Berezin, a guide of the 7 Summits Club, from the Elbrus region:

News of the Elbrus region from the group "May bugs Jazira". Today, according to the plan, we had an rotation to the Pastukhov Rocks. Yesterday, a new cyclone came to Elbrus, which promises to leave tomorrow evening. Due to the weather conditions, we reached the height of 4400 meters in 4 hours (the top point of the rock ridges), then the plateau begins, which is blown by a strong westerly wind. We decided to go down to the refuge, where a delicious hot lunch was already waiting for us.  Tomorrow we have a rest day, we will recuperate before the assault, which is scheduled for Friday.

News of the Elbrus region. The new group of the 7 Summits Club began to acclimatize on the slopes of Cheget.  Today we went to the Ai cafe, where we ate delicious hychines with sea buckthorn tea. The route in places passed through snowfields, winter reluctantly gives way from the slopes of the mountains. News of Elbrus!  “Kaliningrad-Kamchatka” Group continues acclimatization on Elbrus. Today, according to the plan, we had an ascent to the Pastukhov Rocks.  May Elbrus is harsh, and the weather was unfavorable, so we did not reach the goal, but only up to an altitude of 4400 meters. There, to consolidate high-altitude acclimatization, we spent about an hour drinking tea, eating sweets, taking pictures and baiting stories.  Tomorrow we have a day of rest and preparation for the ascent.  Guides Berezin & Semenov.

News of the Elbrus region.  The first of new season group of the 7 Summits Club has started active acclimatization on the slopes of Cheget.  Today we went up to the Ai cafe. Snow gradually melts from the slopes of Cheget, but in places the trail passes through snowfields.  In the afternoon we visited the rental, where we got the necessary equipment.  Now we are preparing for tomorrow's exit.  Tomorrow we will move to the shelter National Park, altitude 3900 m. Los Libros Placer group news. Yesterday we went down from an overnight stay on Nido de Condores.  The acclimatization rotation went fine.   Due to the forecast for wind strengthening on February 5 (when we should have an ascent according to the plan), we decided to take advantage of the reserve day and start climbing tomorrow. There we were warmly welcomed with delicious snacks and fruits. News from Aconcagua. Our team is now called Los Bandidos. Yesterday we came to the Confluencia camp, and this morning we made an trek under the Southern Face of Aconcagua.  We reached an altitude of 4000 meters, where we spent half an hour eating sandwiches and drinking tea for acclimatization. After that, we returned to Confluencia, where we rested for the rest of the day and prepared for tomorrow's move up to the Plaza de Mulas base camp. In the evening, the whole group passed a Medical Check - a mandatory confirmation of physical condition for the visit  to the Base Camp.  Tomorrow we leave for the Plaza de Mulas camp.  The guides of the group are Andrey Berezin and Viktor Volodin.

The Birch Crew group of the 7 Summits Club climbed the Western peak of Elbrus in difficult weather conditions.  We managed to get into the weather window, which was from 2 am to 11 am. We were at the top at 8 am. Besides us, three groups have risen today. Above the saddle there was a strong wind with gusts up to 60 km/h. We had to fight with such weather conditions today.
