Group guide Lyubov Ivanova:  Hello everyone! This is Lyubov Pershina from Mexico.  The 7 Summits Club Group, “Ascent on Orizaba” program. Today, on January 5, we climbed the mountain Cofra de Peroto. The height is 4280 meters. The ascent was very pleasant, beautiful and quite fast. Despite the diversity of the group, we all got up very cheerfully - less than four hours.   We sat on the top, took pictures and went down in two and a half hours. In the evening we arrived at the Zaapan shelter, our hotel. And tomorrow we will move very slowly and calmly to base camp 4200.

Hello everyone and Happy New Year from North America! A group of five participants is located somewhere in the vastness of Mexico on the way to the highest volcano on the continent - Orizaba Peak (5636 m). On the way to the volcanoes, they get to know Mexico, its culture, history and, of course, gastronomy. The guide Lyubov Ivanova, an expert on Mexico, an ethnographer and an expert on ancient Indian culture, helps them to immerse themselves in the culture of the country.

  The team members walked around the historic center of Mexico City and the colorful Santo Angel district. They walked through the streets of colonial Puebla, the capital of the eponymous state of Mexico. And of course, they visited the largest pyramid in the world, Cholula. This pyramid with a cathedral on top against the background of volcanoes is one of the most photographed places in Mexico.

News from Ecuador. Today was a responsible day - the day of the assault on the Chimborazo volcano (6310 m). It wasn't easy! A blizzard and a lot of freshly fallen snow. Nikolai Kirillov reached the height of 5800 m . Alexander Rykov went up to a high-altitude camp and stopped to spend the night there. There was a heavy snowfall and no one went out on the mountain at night.

 Now everyone is already down in the valley and in a good mood they are returning to civilization.

A short report about today’s climb from father and son Alexander and Andrey: We started from the assault camp (4600) today at 0.15. And we successfully climbed Kilimanjaro (5895 meters) at 6.17 am at the top.  The guides said it was just a great result. We met the dawn right at the peak. From 6.30 to 7.30 we visited the glacier. I have never seen such beauty. They don't usually go to him, since no one has the strength after climbing Kilimanjaro. But, we couldn't put the Russian Mountaineering Federation to shame: we went to it and returned to the assault camp by 9.20.

Thank you to everyone who supported!  Ascent (and descent) was very difficult, and I really remembered your parting words from the manager of the 7 Summits Club! I thought it would be much easier, but the weather has made its own corrections.

Our New Year's group has reached the foot of Kilimanjaro! The group is now assembled (although not without adventures) and safely went on the route. The members will celebrate the New Year in one of the most unusual places on the planet - on the highest peak of the African continent - Kilimanjaro volcano (5895 m), which is a cherished dream of many! Congratulations on the upcoming New Year and we are really looking forward to the news!

Ilinitsa Norte is a beautiful volcano, five thousand meters with technical elements. Now the preparations for climbing the Chimborazo volcano are almost complete. Ahead is a rest and an assault on the most remote peak from the center of the Earth - Chimborazo volcano (6310 m). The assault on Chimborazo is scheduled for Nikolai's birthday. A great gift!!  Alexander Rykov's adventures in Ecuador continue! Today, according to the program, there was acclimatization climb on the Rumina volcano. The weather pleased with its variety. There were many interesting meetings and gorgeous views at the top. And of course the main thing is a good mood and a positive attitude!

I made it!!!  I can't even believe it myself! Mount Orizaba (5636 m) is taken!!! I returned from heaven to earth (from Mexico) and finally had the strength and time to tell. On November 6, starting at 2 a.m., our team of 11 people, led by the super-guides of the 7 Summits Club, climbed Mount Orizaba from a height of 4700 m.

It's very cool to be above the clouds. Nature is majestic, powerful and magnificent, and you are a grain of sand. It is difficult to convey in censored words how hard it was, mountain sickness (although we were acclimatized from November 1), a very long, steep, hard snow climb (we walked with a rope, in crampons with ice axes). Even experienced climbers said that physically it was easier on Elbrus, because there was a place to sit down to rest.

When I realized that I could no longer lift my legs, I asked them to drill me into the snow with an ice pick and pick me up on the way back, but - it is impossible, they said there is not much left, we need to walk!

 I got to the top only thanks to the guides, namely:

- Sergey Larin, who was always there, managed, supported and helped, while he managed to keep trek of the whole team;

- Julio, the local guide, who took my backpack;

- and also to the spouse who started all this, provided and prepared;

- to the daughter who said, "Mom, you have to walk";

- and to everyone I love!

 I don't know if I'm ready for such madness yet?  But I had to get out of my comfort zone, everyday life and shake myself up. I was somehow offended by the phrase: "There are a lot of smart people, but there are few brave ones"!

News from Ecuador from the slopes of the highest peak - Chimborazo (6310 m)! Today there was a day of the assault for Boris Manevich and guide Franklin. The weather decided to surprise and show how it can be different in Ecuador. This time there was a lot of snow, wind and snow rain - a fairly common natural phenomenon in Ecuador. Not the most optimal conditions for climbing! Under these conditions, the climbers reached the level of 5700 m . Now they are resting already downstairs. Chimborazo is not an easy peak.

Greetings from Ecuador! Yestoday Boris Manevich and guide Franklin Cardenas stood at the top of the Cotopaxi volcano (5897 m) - the second highest peak in Ecuador and the highest active volcano in the country. Cotopaxi is one of the highest active volcanoes on the planet.

Two days ago Boris Manevich climbed on the top of Iliniza Norte, 5126 m. After the descent, he had a day of rest and excursions in the Quilotoa crater lake area. Lake Quilotoa is one of the most beautiful places in South America, located in the Ecuadorian Andes. An amazing and original corner created by nature itself. It was formed here as a result of a strong volcanic eruption about 800 years ago. Locals believe that the lake has no bottom, but geologists estimate its depth at 250 meters.

Climbing in Ecuador by Boris Manevich. Today is the second day of acclimatization, climbing the volcano from the Pichincha group. Rucu Pichincha (4698 m) hangs over Quito, it can be called a home volcano.  Stunning panoramas of the city open from its slopes. For greater comfort and time saving, you can climb to a height of 4200 m by the Teleferico cable car. The ascent was made in a sporty style. We left the hotel at 9.00 and already had lunch there at 15.00. There's still a free evening left to do something interesting! Tomorrow we say goodbye to Quito and drive towards the main volcanoes.

News from Ararat. Elena Titova has conquered her first peak! This peak was Ararat (5165 m), the legendary volcano and the highest summit of Turkey. Elena sends thanks for each guide, they were very attentive! Details on the return! Now Elena is in Van , the largest city in Eastern Anatolia, resting after climbing and continues to get acquainted with local attractions.

The results of Fyodorov Konyukhov's expedition on Ararat. A team of friends and relatives of Fyodor Konyukhov was assembled in the amount of 20 people. The goal is to climb the legendary biblical peak of Ararat (5165 m) and have a good time. Results: the ascent was completed by all participants, on August 19, 2021 at 9.00 the team stood on the top of Ararat with a full team. We started the assault in three groups to climb later all together, which was done. The time for sincere conversations, memories of past expeditions and discussion of new plans flies by unnoticed. It is very likely that the next goal of the team will be the highest volcano in Asia - Demavend in Iran.

Now we are returning to Van to sum up the results, reward the participants for their perfect ascent and celebrate this event.

News from the expedition of the 7 Summits Club on Ararat. A group of friends of Fyodor Konyukhov passed high-altitude acclimatization today. We climbed approximately to the height of Little Ararat (3925 m), but did not go up to the assault camp to save our strength for the summit climb. A welcome dinner, also known as an info briefing, was held in an atmospheric authentic restaurant. The whole team is impatient and looking forward to the upcoming adventures! A team of guides Alex Abramov, Sergey Avtomonov and Anastasia Kuznetsova arrived in Turkey to complete preparations for the arrival of the next group. Tomorrow, a large team of Fyodor Konyukhov will arrive, which will have to climb the highest peak of Turkey, the legendary Ararat volcano (5165 m). The weather in Ararat is uncharacteristic this season, strong storms and rains are not uncommon for this summer. The team will be tested for strength. The flight from Istanbul to Van was slightly delayed and landed already during the enchanting sunset over Lake Van. The lake itself is akin to the wonder of the world, the largest soda lake in the world with a unique water composition.

And yes, the Bosphorus and Istanbul from a bird's-eye view (and even higher) are also very good! A city of contrasts, east/west, a mixture of cultures and civilizations. This is a separate topic.

 For the first time we went to land in Van, flying through the city itself. We even saw the hotel where we are now located. They usually come in from the other side. It's also an interesting experience.
