News from Kilimanjaro from the group formed by the expedition headquarters of Fyodor Konyukhov. Our high-altitude trekking is going according to plan. On January 6, the group went up to the Shira 3000m camp. On January 7, we moved to the Shira 3900m camp. On January 8, the group goes to the Baranko 4000m Camp, through the Lava Tower 4600m. Yesterday our group drove to a height of 3100m, to a comfortable base on the slope of La Malinche. On the way, visiting the famous Cholula Pyramid. Today we went to the acclimatization climb. The task of climbing to the top was not set, however, 8 out of 12 people successfully climbed La Malinche (4420 meters). The rest of the participants also did a good job, gained more than 1000 meters. This is a good result for an acclimatization exit. At this time, the second guide of the team, Boris Egorov, went up to the Orizaba base camp to prepare everything for the reception of the group for the next ascent.

The first part of the group arrived in Mexico City and actively participated in the celebration of the Day of the Dead, which is now celebrated in Mexico.

The group "Red jackets" today, on August 14, from 7: 30 to 8: 00, in full (100%), reached  the highest point of Africa. We will consider the ascent completed, and accept congratulations only at the exit from the National Park. We started at one o'clock in the morning from Kosovo camp 4850m, where we spent the night. Before that, we spent the night in the Barafu camp at 4600m.

It is more correct to say that this is a high-altitude trekking along the Machame route, which should end with an ascent to Kilimanjaro. Yesterday, on August 9, the group climbed 3000m to the first camp, today - to the second camp at 3900. The weather is favorable, it is not cold and not hot.

Hello, 7  Summits Club!  Today, the program of climbing Kilimanjaro along the Machame Route began. The group is a team, 9 people, plus the guide Sergey Larin. The participants have just met, but, in my opinion, they have already managed to rally together.

The mission of the Dostoevsky Group has been fulfilled! The ascent on Elbrus in honor of the 200th anniversary of Fyodor Dostoevsky took place on July 24. All the participants of the literary expedition reached the top at 7: 30 am. It should be noted that according to the forecast, there should have been a wind of 45 km per hour. But in fact, the weather conditions for climbing turned out to be much more comfortable. It is also necessary to note the good physical fitness of the participants.

Sergey Larin, guide of the 7 Summits Club:  The group "1078", on July 17 at 7:25, climbed the highest point of Europe. We left by ratrak at 2: 00, and at 9:45 we already went down to the refuge. That is, it is proved that acclimatization when you sleep at the bottom, and during the day you go to a height, has the right to exist.  However, it is worth noting that all the participants were physically prepared. Although only one participant has been at altitude before - on Aconcagua, and the second –f or the first time in the mountains.

Now about the situation in Nepal. The government abruptly closed all domestic flights, including helicopter flights from 3.05. And they promise to close international flights from 6.05, that is, today at 24: 00. For us, it wasn't as sad as it could have been. Since helicopter transportation is still possible on special anti-COVID permits. For the supply of expeditions, it is possible to receive them. So we must not starve to death. Moreover, there is a stock of non-perishable products until mid-June.

Today, 16.02, the group Siafu moved from Baranko camp 3950m directly to Barafu camp 4600m with lunch at Karangu camp 4000m. We left at 8: 15 and arrived at 16: 00. This decision was made to increase the level of acclimatization of the team. Since there were already two overnight stays at 4000. Sergey Larin,  the guide of the group from Tanzania: The “Siafu” team news. Today, February 15, we moved from Camp Shira to Camp Baranko 4000m, via Lava Tower (4600m). There was lunch on Lava Taur. And after lunch, it rained heavily again. We went down to the Baranko camp along the rain rivers.  The descent reminded me of Papua New Guinea at times. I couldn’t remember such rains on Kilimanjaro.  I've never been here during the rainy season, though. Kilimanjaro is covered in snow. If this goes on, you'll see that the glaciers will recover.

On February 13, the group of the 7 Summits Club "Siafu" began its route on Kilimanjaro. On the first day, the team climbed through the rain to the Machame camp at an altitude of 2900 meters. The next day, the group climbed to the Shira camp at an altitude of 3,900 meters. There our climbers were waiting for a comfortable camp and banners of our company. And a stunning sunset.

It rained all day, which was according the forecast. And quite unusual for February. At this time of year, I don't remember it raining  from the morning. But the rain did not affect the mood of the group. I am also glad that there are only three people on the route besides us. Which is also unusual for the peak of season. Today, 14.02, we continue to move to the Shira camp at an altitude of 3900 meters.

We started out at midnight from the camp of School Hut. We were at the top from 7 to 8:30.  There was a heavy snowfall. All members reached the highest point, except for one person who did not go for health reasons.
