December, 31st. Hello everyone, still from the edge of the world - Punta Arenas!
Yesterday, at the very last moment, our flight to Antarctica was canceled. The weather is unstable. In order not to waste time and get used to the south, we went almost 100 km to the south - to the San Isidro Lighthouse on the very edge of the mainland of South America. On the way, we visited Fort Bulnes, a reconstructed village of the first settlers, walked through the magical Patagonian forest and the coast along the Strait of Magellan.
In the evening, we were informed that there was a chance of a flight. We rushed to pack our things, but at the last moment we were given the hang up. So we're back in standby mode. We don't know yet where we will celebrate the New Year.
Nevertheless, we sincerely congratulate everyone on the upcoming year and send the warmest greetings from the edge of the world! May everything work out for you and us! We keep our fingers crossed and three legs at the monument to Magellan.

Buenos dias from the Sandia alegre team! First of all, our cheerful group wishes everyone a Happy New Year! We wish you all good health and a peaceful sky! We are continuing our acclimatization program according to plan. Today we went to the Plaza de Francia in good weather with beautiful views. A light breeze was blowing, moving the stones. But this did not stop us, the views are gorgeous, we walk confidently and steadily. Tomorrow we move on to celebrate the New Year at Plaza de Mulas.

Greetings from the edge of the world — from Punta Arenas! Yesterday, December 29, we had a day of preparation for the flight to Antarctica. We handed over our things, weighed ourselves, and received boarding passes. In the evening, we went to the team of pilots who have been flying IL-76 here for many years. We brought their favorite dish from their now distant homeland - herring! We are currently waiting for departure. However, the weather is not very good at Union yet. Nevertheless, we hope and wait with our fingers crossed.

Greetings from the slopes of Kilimanjaro from the Mambo team! Today we made a long and difficult trek to the Baranko camp. In the morning, we climbed to the Lava Tower camp, gaining 700 meters and reaching an altitude of 4,600. We had lunch there, after which we continued our journey and went down to the Baranko camp.
Despite the fact that it was a hard day, it was pleased with the beautiful views, the change of natural belts, beautiful stone structures made of lava and, of course, unusual plants senecia.
We were lucky with the weather. A little rain fell while we were having lunch and were in the tent. And on the descent, the sky cleared so that we saw the grandiose wall of Kilimanjaro peak.

Greetings from the edge of the world from Punta Arenas, Chile! Both our expeditions to the highest points of Antarctica, Sidley and Vinson, are assembled! Yesterday, the smartest members managed to drive to the legendary national park Torres del Paine Park and admire the famous peaks, lakes with icebergs and met wild exotic animals and birds. Those who arrived yesterday managed to run around the entire Punta Arenas and buy everything necessary for the flight to Antarctica. And we also attended the ALE briefing, got the tips and watched a cool movie about what awaits us in Antarctica. And most importantly, we performed an important rite for good luck - we kissed the native's foot at the monument to Magellan in the central square.
Today we are handing over our things and tomorrow, according to the plan, we will fly to Union Glacier, where Artem Rostovtsev, who successfully reached the South Pole with the group yesterday, should be waiting for us! See you soon!

Hello, Seven Summits! This is Artem Rostovtsev. We have reached the South Pole. Our expedition ended at the South Pole, everything is fine. As planned, we came to lunch time. Greetings from the Mamba group from the slopes of Kilimanjaro! Today was a difficult but wonderful day for us. Today we reached the Shira Cave camp at an altitude of 3900 meters. We went through several climatic zones, starting the ascent in the forest, where the trees are densely covered with moss, and ended up in an area almost devoid of vegetation.
Along the way, we had to climb over rocks, overcome streams and small rock walls. After arriving at the camp and having a little rest, we walked to the cave. After that, a ceremony was held to introduce the team to songs and dances. And the weather pampered us today. We managed to dry all the things that got wet yesterday and admire the beautiful views.

Buenos Dias! We haven't been in touch for several days. So, in order.
The end of December in Aconcagua is still the beginning of the season, and the weather is not stable yet, with strong winds. According to the forecast, there will be a strong wind on the planned day of the ascent, and we decided to move the assault to a spare day.

We climbed the Nido de Condores. We have a tent camp there, with a comfortable dining room. We spent the night. The wind constantly shook the tents. In the morning, closer to lunch, we went up to the camp Berlin. This is a cozy camp, where there was no one except our tents. Plus, the rock was blocking us from the west wind. We settled in tents.

By four in the morning, the wind began to subside. They went out to the summit bid. We reached the traverse in 3 hours, then there was a section with a strong wind. Fortunately, the wind is at your back, and not for long. Then the climb to the Cave began along the sypukha. We took a deep breath in the Cave, ate and moved to the top. Three more hours on rocks and snow, and here is the summit, where surprisingly it was almost calm. Memorable photos and videos, mutual congratulations. Then we descend to our camp Berlin. Dinner, overnight and descent to the Plaza de Mulas. Where we had a festive lunch and the awarding of medals to all participants. Hello everyone! Today is a sunny day in Patagonia again and we decided to entertain ourselves with bouldering (rock climbing) in a very beautiful, magical forest. We found special mattresses for belay, bought pies, cooked a mate and spent several hours on the rocks. When you are in the process of climbing like this, it may seem that you are lying on the mattress more than you are moving. But in fact, the body gets very tired of the extreme movements that have to be performed in order to make such micro-ascents. And this is a wonderful finger training and ninja climbing skills.

And, of course, the incredible views of our destination - Mount Fitzroy!

This area around the town of El Chalten is famous for its climbing stones. Of course, there is classical rock climbing here, but first of all it is a bouldering area where all local climbers come for the summer, and in February an international festival is even held.
In the evening, we continued our endless conversations about the weather and made plans. And for tomorrow we decided to look at our condition: arrange a light trekking the next day or climb the wall again. In any case, we will not be bored and we will spend our time usefully. Hello everyone from Tanzania! Today our group, which decided to call itself Mamba, left the hotel in the morning and went to the beginning of the climb to Kilimanjaro. After a little preparation, we started climbing through the amazing jungle, where monkeys were jumping.
Our climb was complicated by a gushing torrential rain. We waited out the main streams, but we had to walk in the rain most of the way anyway. Despite this, everyone still liked the very beautiful forest. We hope to be able to dry tomorrow.

Greetings from the edge of the world - from Punta Arenas! Today, participants of two Antarctic expeditions - to Vinson and Sidley - finally began to gather here.
In the morning, the most active part arrived - those who are closing the Seven Volcanoes project. We went straight from the airport to watch the ships, then checked the equipment and then the guys rushed to Fort Bulnes (a historical place, the southernmost Chilean settlement once). They want to visit as many places as possible, because Patagonia is the dream of all boys. There are many interesting locations here. We are waiting for the rest members by this evening.
