Good news: China has confirmed permission to conduct an expedition on Mount Everest from the north. And we are already accepting applications for the spring of 2024! Dreams come true!

From 2003 to 2019 (with a couple of breaks), the 7 Summits Club organized expeditions to Mount Everest from the North Side, from Tibet. Naturally, for 15 seasons we have lived in these places so much that they have become our own, home. The cataclysms of recent years have forced us to relocate to the South Side. Of course, we have settled in here enough. But everyone remembered the past years with some nostalgia. When we left, we promised to return, and we will fulfill this promise. Join our expedition!

The route from the north is very different from the route from the south. They actually have little in common. So those who walked from the south may well supplement their acquaintance with Everest by visiting its northern slopes.

What are the advantages of Tibet.

Firstly, actually in the opportunity to get acquainted with this Tibet. And  this Tibet, is unique and unforgettable. We start our route in its capital Lhasa and the way to the base camp passes through places where the old and the new, primitive and high-tech, bizarrely overlap.

A highway approaches the base camp from the north. What advantages it gives can be listed for a very long time, without naming everything. In any case, the accommodation here is more comfortable and the rest in the base camp is of higher quality. We are free to go down on rest and buy everything we need.

The route from the north (Mallory and Irvine's way) is longer and physically more difficult than from the south. But it is practically devoid of objective dangers, which are in abundance on the other side of the mountain.

It is practically guaranteed that there will be an order of magnitude fewer climbers on the northern route than on the southern route. And this is important both in terms of security and in terms of personal emotions.

The 7 Summits Club invites you this year, 2023, to join an expedition to the Himalayas and climb the highest peak in the World, Mount Everest. If there is an opportunity – you need to go, there is no opportunity - you need to look!  The first reason not to postpone your participation in the attempt to climb Mount Everest is obvious. The world is far from political stability. The softest thing to say.

And if there is still an opportunity to celebrate something, we celebrate! This year Nepal is preparing to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the first ascent of Mount Everest. What is our benefit? The anniversary will be felt all along the route. And at the end of the expedition to Kathmandu, we will be greeted by a real carnival. There is every reason to assume that in 2024 China will open a route to Mount Everest from the north. And the main expedition of the 7 Summits Club will be conducted from there.  This is an extremely fast ascent of Mount Everest, in less than 30 days. For such an ascent, it is necessary to have experience of high-altitude ascents. And also to undergo the pharmaceutical and 30-day acclimatization training developed by us in a hypoxic tent.

 A cool program for those who are planning to climb Mount Everest in the future. And also for those who, for financial or other reasons, "do not pull" participation in a full-fledged expedition. 

To pass the Khumbu Icefall is the dream of any climber, it is the key to reaching the summit of Everest. Try yourself  in a real Himalayan expedition!

The 7 Summits Club and the expedition headquarters of Fyodor Konyukhov came to an agreement to conduct an expedition on Ararat in August 2021. Together with the greatest Russian traveler of our time, we have already visited the summits of Mount Everest, Kilimanjaro and Elbrus, and this year we climbed Orizaba. Ararat will be a logical continuation of our cooperation. We know that the Bible mountain has long been a cherished dream of Fyodor. The experience of the past year allows us to hope that we will meet all the commitments we have made. In 2020, several groups of the 7 Summits Club successfully climbed the top of Mount Ararat. At the same time, thanks to the efforts of our President, Alex Abramov, we have provided the best service in the area.

From the point of view of science, from the point of view of practice and common sense, before attempting to climb the highest peak of the World, Everest, you need to get some experience of working at extreme heights. That is, simply put, to test yourself by taking part in an expedition to a lower and simpler eight-thousander. This is not only a test of physical capabilities, but also gaining experience  working in the expedition team, just the practice of staying in conditions "close to combat". If you want to participate in the ascent of Mount Everest in 2021, the 7 Summits Club strongly recommends that you take part in our autumn expedition to the eighth highest peak in the World, Mount Manaslu (8156 m). In it, you will get to know the participants of the future expedition to Everest, guides and our irreplaceable partners Sherpas.

The 7 Summits Club decided to support its regular Sherpa workers in difficult times. Due to the lack of work in the spring season, many of them found themselves in a difficult financial situation. And our help came very, very timely. The guys are grateful "from the heart".

 According to information from the head of the 7 Summits Club in Nepal, our good friend Mingma Gelu, the country will be fully open to tourists from August 1. The epidemiological situation in Nepal has long been considered quite favorable for this. It remains only to agree on the air transportation system, rules and procedure for returning to normal life.

 The 7 Summits Club is optimistic about the prospects for the autumn season in Nepal. We have already prepared expeditions to the eight-thousandth Manaslu  and Makalu, which you can still join. And all our traditional programs will be held, including Ama Dablam, Mera peak, Island peak, trekking to Everest Base camp, etc…

Last year, the Nepalese became close friends with the 7 Summits Club and we agreed with him on mutually beneficial cooperation. We present to You the first joint project:

Nims is a cheerful and sociable guy, with a lot of life experience, physically and mentally surprisingly resistant person. Traveling with him will be something special that you can remember and tell all your life.

It climbed all fourteen eight-thousandths in a record time of 6 months 6 days in 2019. Awarded the British order of knighthood - The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

“7 Summits of Russia” is a unique project of the 7 Summits Club, which includes our highest mountains and volcanoes. We will not stay at home while the borders are closed, we came up with an alternative "import-substituting" project.

Elbrus -> Elbrus from the South (5642m) - the highest peak in Europe and Russia.

Everest -> Elbrus from the North (5621m) - the highest peak in Europe and Russia.

Aconcagua -> Kazbek from the North (5033m) - one of the highest peaks of the Caucasus.

Kilimanjaro -> Klyuchevskaya Sopka (4750m) - the highest volcano on the Kamchatka Peninsula.

Denali -> Belukha (4506m) - the highest peak of the Russian Altai.

Vinson -> Pobeda (3003m) - the highest peak of Yakutia.

Carstensz -> Ai-Petri (1234m) - the most beautiful peak of Crimea.

Seven summits - forever! You can’t stop us. We will find the "seven summits" in Moscow and Moscow region, if necessary.

Program

Up-to-date information from the main news agencies: the Nepalese authorities are considering options for tightening requirements for climbers on Everest. Including the planned threefold increase in the cost of permits. But until that happens we offer the best price in the area.   44900 dollars, that is, about two times lower than usual! This expedition to Everest from the South will take place in the spring of 2020. The expedition will be led by Vladimir Kotlyar, who has twice climbed to the summit and has extensive experience as a guide in expeditions.

The route is a legend, it is very different from the ascent from the North. Starting from the approaches by the Khumbu valley, then following through the legendary icefall (for several years without accidents, you only need to carefully choosing  a route), through the South Col, South Summit and Hillary Step. By the way, at the top there is a chance to meet the climbers of the 7 Summits Club, which will climb from the North.

And as an added plus, we offer a bonus (free) climb to thesummit of Lhotse, the fourth highest peak in the world. Additional payment for the permit will not be necessary.  Recently, such double ascents in one exit above the Khumbu icefall have become not uncommon. So go ahead!
