March 13th. Greetings from Africa! This morning, our Space Team climbed on the summit of Kilimanjaro - Uhuru Peak! It was not easy - the wind and cold, but the views from the top and the fact that we managed to overcome themselves paid off all the difficulties.

At the top, we opened a bottle of champagne and photographed Klim's book (we also did not forget to take pictures of ourselves). Already in the Kosovo camp, we were hit by hail, but this did not overshadow the joy of victory.

Now we have gone down to the Millennium. We wash off and eat off. We're going back to civilization tomorrow.

<![CDATA[ The Space group of the 7 Summits Club passed the Lava Tower and reached Barranco Camp on Kilimanjaro ]]> http://7summitsclub.com/news/all/item_16933/ Lyudmila Korobeshko, Super-guide of the 7 Summits Club from Tanzania:

Greetings from Africa! From Barranco camp at 3900m on the slopes of Kilimanjaro from the Space Group! Yesterday we made the trek to the Shira Cave camp. On the way, we met two species of African mice, a dozen brazen white-necked ravens and many endemic plants. An evening of song and dance was held in the camp before dinner. Our Tanzanian team sang to us in Swahili, and we answered them with Katusha. Everyone was satisfied.

We had dinner with borscht with garlic and all sorts of pickles, went to bed early, because the next day there was a long walk ahead.

The morning of March 10 greeted us with a stunning sunrise and fragrant Ethiopian coffee (thoughtfully purchased at the transfer in Addis Ababa). We started at about 9 a.m. in parallel with our friends, the "26 Baku commissars" (a large group of Kenyan climbers).

After 3 hours of climbing, a tea point was set up. An hour later we had lunch near the Lava Tower at 4600.

After lunch, we started to descend towards the camp. The rain scared us at first, but it stopped quickly. On the way, we arranged a photo shoot with incredibly beautiful thickets of senecia. We went down to Barranco's camp almost at 6 pm. Tomorrow we will storm the Barranco Wall. Getting ready - sharpening ice axes, checking platforms (joke). In fact, we are taking a shower (partially) and plan to drink some white at dinner.

Greetings from Africa! From the Machame camp at 3000m on the slopes of Kilimanjaro from the Space Group! Yesterday we started our ascent of Kilimanjaro. During the first day, we reached the Machame camp at an altitude of 3000. On the way, we got soaked through under a tropical downpour. But by sunset, the downpour had stopped. So we had a chance to admire both the sunset and the stars. Today we go further, at 3900, to the Shira camp.

Greetings from Tanzania from the band Big Change! Today we made an almost heroic crossing of the Barranco Wall. The usually exciting climb was complicated by the fact that it had been raining since six in the morning. We waited for a while, hoping that it would stop. But the rain didn't stop. Therefore, we decided to climb the wall in the rain. Climbing rocks with streams of water flowing over them is not easy. But we did it.

After a small tea party, spiced with rain at the top of the Barranco wall, we continued on our way to the Karanga camp. Still in the rain. Only sometimes, through small gaps, it was possible to notice what beauty was around.

The sun came out in the camp for a while, so we managed to dry things. And after that, a rainstorm with snow fell on the camp and almost washed away the camp.

However, this cataclysm was also survived.

Now we are resting and preparing for the ascent to the summit, which will begin tomorrow evening. While there is an opportunity and good conditions, we check all things, select clothes. Well, we are mentally preparing, of course.

Greetings from Tanzania from the Big Change group! The third day of walking on Kilimanjaro was marked by crossing the Lava Tower. In the first half of the day, we climbed to the Lava Tower at an altitude of 4,630 meters, simultaneously admiring the incredible clouds that decorated our path.
Lunch was waiting for us at the Lava Tower. As soon as we entered the dining tent, it began to snow, sometimes turning into a small hail. So we had to make part of the way down in the snow and rain. And then to the most beautiful area - with beautiful senecia trees, waterfalls, and the snow-covered wall of Kilimanjaro. The snow ended very successfully at that time, and nothing prevented us from admiring the beauty.

Greetings from Tanzania from the team "Big Change"! The second day of our trip to Kilimanjaro is coming to an end. A day that brought a variety of changes.

The constant change of landscapes. The forest was replaced by shrubs, beautifully decorated with selfie moss. A variety of flowers appeared, growing directly on the stones. After we came out of the forest into the open spaces, wonderful views opened up around us, forcing us to constantly stop to admire them. The rains promised by the forecast did not happen today.

Or rather, we had no time to leave the camp when it began to rain. We waited it out. And we passed the main part of the way without rain. And the sun appeared closer to the camp. Today we climbed to the Shira camp at an altitude of 3,850 meters. After lunch, we walked around the neighborhood. We looked at a large cave, obsidian placers and all sorts of beautiful views.

And after we returned to the camp, we had a ceremony to meet the team. And in the evening we had a very beautiful sunset and delicious borscht.

Hello everyone from Tanzania! Today, the third group of the new season set off along the Machame route towards the summit of Kilimanjaro. After much thought, they decided to name the band "Big Change". Our group is quite small, but very optimistic and combative. And in a different way, in the difficult weather conditions that have now hit Kilimanjaro, it is impossible.

One of the additional difficulties that happened to the team was the luggage that did not arrive in Africa. We hope that the participants will be able to meet with it tomorrow.

Today we went through a very beautiful jungle and climbed to the Millennium Camp at an altitude of 3,000 meters. We got caught in the rain a little and mixed mud, but everyone is in a great mood.

Hello everyone from Tanzania! Today our group "Red Suitcases" climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. The ascent took place in difficult conditions, to put it mildly. A snowstorm on the crater was added to the eternal rain and sleet. So during the ascent we saw nothing - neither a crater, nor beautiful glaciers. But we got a lot of impressions.

After climbing, we went down to the Kosovo camp under the incessant snowfall. And then, under heavy rain and snow, we reached the Millennium camp. That's the kind of summer in Africa! But despite the natural disasters, everyone really enjoyed the trip.

Hello everyone from Tanzania! The swim of the Red Suitcases group to the highest peak in Africa continues. However, in the morning the weather decided to pamper us. The sun appeared. So we managed to dry things out a bit before we set off on our way.

Today we were waiting for a climb up the Baranko wall. Here we are lucky again. There was no rain while we were climbing the wall. And there were no traffic jams from the people familiar in this place.

There are surprisingly few tourists willing to climb Kilimanjaro right now. But as soon as we passed the wall and sat down to drink tea, the rain did not keep us waiting. So we descended from the Baranko wall under a torrential icy rain with hail. All the paths turned into mud streams. All streams turn into stormy rivers. The surrounding landscapes are decorated with dozens of waterfalls. Overall, it is very beautiful. It's just wet and cold. But we are not discouraged. We enjoy every hour without rain. Now we are resting in Karanga camp, trying to dry things before tomorrow's climbing to the assault camp.

Greetings from Tanzania from the group "Red suitcases" from the slopes of Kilimanjaro! Today we moved to the Shira camp at an altitude of 3,800 meters. Despite the terrifying forecasts, we were very lucky with the weather. The rain soaked us quite a bit.

Therefore, our journey, during which we could observe the change of natural zones and the appearance of amazing plants, was pleasant and beautiful. After we arrived at the camp, we had lunch and went for a short walk, during which we looked at the cave and a little at the snow-covered slopes of Kilimanjaro.

And then we had an introduction ceremony with the local team, during which everyone sang and danced. In general, it was fun. In the evening, the clouds stretched out, and we saw Kilimanjaro in all its glory.

So, today we started our journey, starting from the gates of the national park and reaching the Machame camp at an altitude of 3000 meters. It had been raining since the morning, which accompanied us almost the whole way. Only at the end did it stop, and even the sun came out. The weather is disgusting, that's for sure. The forecasts are disappointing. But we do not lose optimism and try to have fun to the fullest.

<![CDATA[ The group of the 7 Summits Club "Mamba" made a successful ascent to the top of Kilimanjaro on New Year's Eve together with Santa Claus ]]> http://7summitsclub.com/news/all/item_16677/ Olga Rumyantseva, a guide of the 7 Summits Club, reports from Tanzania:
Hello everyone from Tanzania! Today, our Mamba group climbed the highest mountain in Africa - Kilimanjaro. We started climbing at 11 p.m. It's still 2023.
But at exactly midnight, the entire slope along which the ascent to the volcano passes, densely dotted with chains of lanterns, resounded with joyful shouts and songs.
Few people manage to celebrate the New Year in such an unusual environment. We were walking pretty fast, so we went out to Stella Point in the dark.
There was another surprise waiting for us. One of our guides wore a Santa Claus costume. That's how we walked to the top of the crater - with Santa. To the delight of us, to the envy of all, watching the picturesque sunrise on the way.

<![CDATA[ The group of the 7 Summits Club "Mamba" made a long trek across the Lava Tower to the Baranko camp ]]> http://7summitsclub.com/news/all/item_16661/
Olga Rumyantseva, the guide of the 7 Summits Club, reports from Tanzania:
Greetings from the slopes of Kilimanjaro from the Mambo team! Today we made a long and difficult trek to the Baranko camp. In the morning, we climbed to the Lava Tower camp, gaining 700 meters and reaching an altitude of 4,600. We had lunch there, after which we continued our journey and went down to the Baranko camp.
Despite the fact that it was a hard day, it was pleased with the beautiful views, the change of natural belts, beautiful stone structures made of lava and, of course, unusual plants senecia.
We were lucky with the weather. A little rain fell while we were having lunch and were in the tent. And on the descent, the sky cleared so that we saw the grandiose wall of Kilimanjaro peak.

<![CDATA[ The group of the 7 SummitsClub "Mamba" dried out and made a long trek to the Shiva Cave camp at 3900, above almost any vegetation ]]> http://7summitsclub.com/news/all/item_16650/ Olga Rumyantseva, a guide of the 7 SummitsClub, reports from Tanzania:
Greetings from the Mamba group from the slopes of Kilimanjaro! Today was a difficult but wonderful day for us. Today we reached the Shira Cave camp at an altitude of 3900 meters. We went through several climatic zones, starting the ascent in the forest, where the trees are densely covered with moss, and ended up in an area almost devoid of vegetation.
Along the way, we had to climb over rocks, overcome streams and small rock walls. After arriving at the camp and having a little rest, we walked to the cave. After that, a ceremony was held to introduce the team to songs and dances. And the weather pampered us today. We managed to dry all the things that got wet yesterday and admire the beautiful views.

<![CDATA[ The first day of the hike on Kilimanjaro was washed by torrential rain. The jungle has been passed, now you need to dry out ]]> http://7summitsclub.com/news/all/item_16644/ Olga Rumyantseva, a guide of the 7 Summits Club, reports from Tanzania:
Hello everyone from Tanzania! Today our group, which decided to call itself Mamba, left the hotel in the morning and went to the beginning of the climb to Kilimanjaro. After a little preparation, we started climbing through the amazing jungle, where monkeys were jumping.
Our climb was complicated by a gushing torrential rain. We waited out the main streams, but we had to walk in the rain most of the way anyway. Despite this, everyone still liked the very beautiful forest. We hope to be able to dry tomorrow.

Jumbo Rafiki! Greetings from Africa! A group of the 7 Summits Club with an uncertain name started today on the Marangu route. After issuing permits, we went to the equatorial jungle. The walk to the first overnight stay of Mandara Hut (2750 m) took 4 hours. At the beginning everything was fine, but in the last 15 minutes a tropical downpour was turned on... Apparently, the season of short rains begins a little bit. On the way we met two families of monkeys watching us closely! Tomorrow we go higher at 3700, to the Horombo camp.

Greetings to all from Tanzania from the Zvyaginstein Adventures group! This morning we made a climb up the Baranko wall - a march with light climbing elements. After climbing the wall, we continued our way to the Karanga camp (4035m). Unfortunately, we were covered by a cloud, so our way passed without any views.

In the camp, the cloud never left. Therefore, we spent the rest of the day mentally preparing for tomorrow's climbing to the assault camp and for the summit, hiding from the drizzling rain.

Greetings from Tanzania from the slopes of Kilimanjaro! Today, a new group of the 7 Summits Club called "Zvyaginstein's Adventures" has entered the route. In the morning we left the hotel, drove to the gates of the National park, checked our belongings and started climbing the mountain to the Machame camp.

The road on the first day goes through the jungle, where there is a lot of greenery and mossy trees. But closer to the camp, the trees become lower, and the jungle ends. In five hours we reached the camp. That was the end of our first day.
