Good news from the Elbrus region. Elbrus is ours!

Today, December 9, Alexander Abramov and Lyudmila Korobeshko made a winter ascent of Elbrus as part of the project "7 volcanoes in 77 days". But first, a sensation! The counter of the number of climbers fell from the top of Elbrus. Probably, from the new year they will install a new "zeroed" one.

This is the fifth mountain of our project. The ascent of Elbrus on October 24 was counted as a training one. Now the project 7 volcanoes - "who is faster" officially begins with the ascent of Damavand on October 31. It is realistic to do it in 70 days.

Oh! It will not be possible to run across Damavand, as our team of the 7 Summits Club starts climbing Ojos del Salado tomorrow. We need to fly to Chile urgently. This will be the sixth mountain of the project "7 volcanoes in 77 days".

The team has climbed to the refuge. At night, the summit will be stormed. The weather is not bad. It is minus 30 at the summit.

We reached Refuge of 11 for acclimatization. We met the record holder of Elbrus for the fastest ascent, Vitaly Shkel.

We're going to Winter Elbrus. The goal is to climb this mountain in order to shorten the project time. And on December 12 we fly to Chile to climb the 6th volcano - the highest volcano in the world Ojos del Salado. The "7 volcanoes in 77 days" team had a good rest. We didn't go anywhere for 2 weeks. We sat at home. Time to go to the mountains!

Yesterday at 9 am, as part of the "7 Volcanoes in 77 Days" project, Alexander Abramov and Ilya Gladkikh ascended the first peak of the project - Elbrus. The ascent took place in unstable autumn weather conditions. Thus, the 7/77 project has begun.

The next peak is the Damavand volcano 5609 in Iran. We plan to climb it on October 31.

Alexander Abramov can be called the "godfather" of this program on a global scale. And who else but he should hold the record! It was the President of the 7 Summits Club who conceived, and our company carried out, the historic expedition to the Sidley volcano in 2011. Since the scientific discovery of this highest volcano in Antarctica, no one has been there. The 2011 ascent resulted in the first people to climb all seven volcanoes. These were our expedition members Mario Trimeri and Crina Popescu. And this was the real start of the Seven Volcanoes program. Russia, represented by our company, is the world leader in the number of climbers who have climbed all seven volcanoes of the project. At the moment, out of 46 who have completed the project, 14 represent our country. There is something to be proud of!

News from the Elbrus region! Yesterday, September 13, the 7 Summits Club group "While the mushrooms" successfully climbed the Western summit of Elbrus. The weather and the condition of the route were wonderful. Therefore, at 6:15 we were all standing on the top together. From where a view of the surroundings opened up. And also a huge shadow of the Western summit of Elbrus was visible. After that there was a descent down, gathering and departure on an overloaded cable car to the hotel. And also a gala evening with the presentation of awards and certificates.

Hello everyone! Yesterday, the 7 Summits Club group "Spartans" made a successful ascent on the main, Western peak of Elbrus 5642m! The weather was great, the conditions were almost perfect. And this is despite it being Friday the 13th! The season on the Mountain is ending, but new projects are ahead. During the festive dinner and awards ceremony, we discussed further mountain plans.

 News of the Elbrus region! The group "While the mushrooms" continues acclimatization and preparation for the ascent of Elbrus. Today, September 11, we went to Pastukhov Rocks. The weather was wonderful. A light breeze appeared only at the top of the rocks. We climbed quite briskly. Tomorrow we will rest before the ascent.

 11.09. Hello everyone! The 7 Summits Club "Spartans" group went to high-altitude acclimatization on the Pastukhov Rocks up to 4500m! The weather was great and we managed to do everything perfectly. On the descent we again got caught up in the excitement of queues. The old cable car is already at its limit. We even walked the 2nd line, which saved a couple of hours of standing and waiting! Tomorrow is rest and preparation for the assault!

 10.09. Hello everyone!  The individual group of the 7 Summits Club "Spartans" climbed the slopes of Elbrus today and went to the Refuge of 11 at an altitude of 4100 meters. There, in conditions of clouds and snow hail, we successfully held snow and ice training. In particular, we worked on the technique of self-arrest with an ice ax.

On the descent, we visited the Museum of Military Glory at the Mir station at an altitude of 3500 m.

The situation on the pendulum cable car is critical. The new roads are closed for maintenance, and the "old lady" cannot cope with the number of people wanting to go up and down! Every day passions run high here...

Autumn is coming, but the mountains are still quite comfortable! Today was a cloudy day, it drizzled a little, but the mood of the group remained fighting.

Everything is going according to plan: after lunch - equipment rental, preparation for tomorrow, rest.

News of the Elbrus region! The new group of the 7 Summits Club called "While the mushrooms" began preparations for climbing Elbrus. Today we walked along the slopes of Mount Cheget to the Ai cafe. The trail leads through a picturesque forest, which then gives way to lush alpine meadows. The weather was cloudy today, sometimes it tried to rain. The mountains were all covered, Elbrus did not show up. Tomorrow we are heading to the National Park shelter, where we will spend a few days before the ascent.

Yesterday, September 6th, a group the 7 Summits Club El Pupsa made a successful ascent on the summit of Elbrus. The weather forecast, predicting snowfall, did not come true (more precisely, the bad weather shifted to a later time). As a result, the summit was windless and clear. The group has climbed at a good pace and without losses. The descent also went smoothly.

 6.09. Yesterday, the group of Marvel Agents from the 7 Summits Club climbed the summit of West Elbrus at 5642m! The weather and condition of the route were close to perfect. A successful climb was a great gift for birthday of our member Marina. We had to swerve a little bit in traffic on an old cable car. But this unpleasantness has in no way tarnished our solemn, festive dinner of awards and congratulations!

4.09. Hello everyone! Today the 7 Summits Club group "Agents of Marvel" made an acclimatization ascent to Pastukhov Rocks! We were lucky with the weather on the ascent, but then it was different, including rain and snow. The participants feel great, fully prepared for the ascent. Tomorrow is a planned day of rest and preparation for the assault on the summit of Elbrus.

The path goes along a picturesque forest path, which is replaced by no less beautiful alpine meadows. We went to the cafe "Ai", ate chebureks with khichins and appreciated the taste of wonderful mountain tea. Tomorrow we will climb to the refuge situated on Elbrus slopes, where we will continue to prepare for the ascent.

 3.09. Hello everyone! Today, the individual group of the 7 Summits Club "Marvel Agents" climbed the slopes of Elbrus to the Refuge of 11 at 4100m. Hello everyone! Today, a new individual group of the 7 Summits Club, which came up with the name "Marvel Agents", began its program of climbing Elbrus. Traditionally, we climbed the slopes of Mount Cheget to the legendary cafe "Ai" at an altitude of 2750 meters. The weather was good for us, allowing us to go down to Lake Donguz Orun Köl. After lunch, we went to the rental for the missing equipment and are preparing for tomorrow's acclimatization on the slopes of Elbrus, with an ascent to 4100 m and training sessions.

Elbrus region news. Yesterday, August 30, the 7 Summits Club group "Brusnika" successfully climbed the Western peak of Elbrus. The weather was wonderful, sunny and windless. From the summit, there were beautiful views of the Greater Caucasus Range and far to the north. All participants walked well and felt good.

Hello everyone! Yesterday, August 30, the 7 Summits Club group "Otmorozhennye" (“Frozen”) successfully climbed the Western Elbrus summit 5642m! When leaving, the team was divided into two groups of four people: pedestrians and those who wanted technical support. The hikers set off for the summit from the shelter, without using a snowcat. Unfortunately, two of them, having miscalculated their strength, retreated. They decided that they would try to climb to the summit next time!

The remaining participants reached their cherished goal and then successfully descended! At the dinner, with national cuisine and Caucasian hospitality, an award ceremony was held and medals and certificates were presented for climbing the highest point of Europe!

Hello everyone, today our group climbed the summit of Elbrus 5642. The entire group without exception climbed to the highest point. It was not easy for everyone, but we got there! The weather was great, the trail was in good condition, so at 6:13 we were already at the top. On the way, we admired the beautiful views and enjoyed the windless Elbrus. This does not happen often!

We walked at a good pace and in a great mood, so at 6 am we were already standing on the top and admiring the beautiful views of the mountains.  News from the Elbrus region. The 7 Summits Club group "Brusnika" continues acclimatization and preparation for the ascent of Elbrus. Today we went to the Pastukhov Rocks. It was clear in the morning, and we enjoyed the views of the majestic Elbrus. And by the middle of the day the weather began to deteriorate - fog, light snow. We went to the Rocks in a solid fog. Tomorrow we have a rest day. We will restore our strength before the ascent.

08/27. Hello everyone! The 7 Summits Club group "Frosted" moved to the Refuge National Park at an altitude of 3900 m today. We settled in and went to the Refuge of Eleven at 4100 m. There we held snow-ice training. The weather today was wonderful, super, we worked out everything that was supposed to be done according to the plan.

After lunch, the group continued to master mountaineering techniques near the refuge. We worked out the safety systems and the scheme of movement on the fixed ropes. Tomorrow, according to the plan, we will go for high-altitude acclimatization to the Pastukhov Rocks, up to an altitude of 4700 m. 

 Alexander Abramov plans to climb the highest volcanoes on all continents in less than 100 days. This will be "Project 99". On October 1, Alexander sets off with a group to climb the Giluwe volcano (Australian continent). And he intends to finish on the Antarctic mountain Mount Sidley in early January 2025.

The Super Girls team of 9 people successfully climbed to the top of Elbrus. The ascent took place in bad weather conditions. We were lashed by wind and snowstorms, but we endured! All the girls proved themselves to be heroes. Each received maximum emotions and a charge for the future life. We felt stronger and more confident. Well done everyone!

Therefore, we had to postpone the start an hour later. We went, as usual, to the legendary cafe "Ai". Autumn in the Caucasus is coming into its own. It is damp and cool. We hope that the cyclone will go away in the coming days, and the weather will improve by the day of the ascent.

We also visited the rental shop today and took all the necessary equipment.

Tomorrow we will climb to the National Park refuge, where we will continue preparing for the ascent.

August 26. Hello everyone! Today, a new group of the 7 Summits Club, which took the name "Frozen", began preparing for the ascent of Elbrus. The participants climbed for acclimatization along the slopes of Mount Cheget to an altitude of 2750 meters, that is, to the famous "Ai" cafe. It was not hot today, there was a light rain from time to time. The group walked briskly.

After lunch, we went to the rental store for the missing equipment. Tomorrow we move to the high-mountain shelter National Park, we will spend the night at an altitude of 3900 meters and continue acclimatization.

Today, the SuperGirls team on Elbrus experienced a difficult night. But in the end, everything ended well. All the participants rested, slept, played. And this night we are planning to storm Elbrus again. The weather forecast is rather bad. But we will look for windows...

In the end, our Brazilians climbed Elbrus! Today was a long day, but we did it, we reached the top. The weather was not very friendly: wind, fog, sometimes snow fell. But we overcame ourselves and stubbornly went to our summit. Each of us overcame ourselves and reached the goal. By lunchtime, we descended to Terskol, rested and received well-deserved medals at a gala dinner. After that, we completely switched to rest and recovery after the climb.

Today, the SuperGirls team went up on a cable car, then on a snowcat to the Refuge National Park, an altitude of 3900 meters. All the girls were simply amazed by the living conditions. Complete comfort! The main activity today was rest, but we still managed to conduct classes on passing the fixed ropes. The weather is clear, but there is a strong wind. So we will fight tonight. The departure for the ascent is scheduled for 3 am.

 21.08. Hello everyone! News from the 7 Summits Club group "Selfless Capybaras and one Fossil Khibinoid". Today our team went to high-altitude acclimatization to Pastukhov Rocks up to 4700 m! We were lucky with the weather. It was sunny, although the wind was still there.

Upon returning to the refuge, a delicious lunch and long-awaited rest awaited us!

Well done everyone, all participants were allowed to climb Elbrus next night.

Greetings from the Brazilians from Elbrus! Today we went on the main acclimatization rotation, climbed Pastukhov Rocks. We spent the night in the refuge, at an altitude of 3900. In the morning we had breakfast early and went out. In crampons we reached the beginning of the rocks, sat there, rested, and simply spent some time for acclimatization. The weather was more than good and we enjoyed the sun and warmth. Then we went down to the hotel to rest. Tomorrow we plan to gain strength and go to the mountain at night.

This morning, the Super Girls project team received full equipment at the rental and immediately rushed up. We walked briskly up the Refuge of 11 area. With the help of our guides, the group members figured out the equipment and mastered the technique of walking on snow and firn slopes. The weather was good, but we hurried down to the Azau Star hotel for lunch. The whole team is in a great mood. We are singing and dancing.

Greetings from the slopes of Elbrus! Today, our group "Restaurant Car" continued preparation for the ascent of Elbrus. This time on its slopes. After settling into comfortable houses, we climbed to the refuge of Eleven at an altitude of 4100 meters. There we held "snow-ice" training on the technique of climbing on the terrain such as it will be on the ascent. The weather is super, we worked everything out. On the descent we met a group of our SuperGirls Club led by Alex Abramov!

After lunch we held training on belay systems and the technique of moving on fixed ropes. Now it's dinner and rest.

Today was a great day! The SuperGirls team took an interesting route: we climbed the trail up the slope of Mount Cheget to the Ai cafe. We rested there and then went down to Lake Donguz Orun. Many of the girls in the group were in the mountains for the first time. So, it was very interesting for everyone. Tomorrow we have training "snow classes" on the slope of Elbrus.

Today we began acclimatization for climbing the highest point of the Caucasus and Europe, Mount Elbrus. At a good pace, the group members and the guide climbed the slopes of Mount Cheget to an altitude of 2750 meters. At this altitude is the famous cafe "Ai", where we were traditionally treated to delicious chebureks with berries.

Tomorrow, according to the plan, we move to the high-mountain refuge National Park at an altitude of 3,500 meters and continue training on the slopes of Elbrus.

We arrived in an excellent minibus to Prielbrusye and checked into the best hotel in the area - Azau Star. In the remaining time we managed to take a walk to the Azau waterfall. Tomorrow we plan to hike along the slopes of Mount Cheget and visit Lake Donguz-Orun.

Hello everyone! Yesterday, August 17, the "Ural-TOP-team" of the 7 Summits Club climbed to the top of Western Peak of Elbrus 5642m! The day was very eventful. There were many challenges: from headwind to large traffic jams on fixed ropes. After all, this is the peak of the season. In general, the sunny weather was favorable for a successful ascent.

 Today, August 17, our super-group "Sibiriki" in full force climbed the Western summit of Elbrus (5642m). We climbed on a reserve day, since on Friday there was a hurricane wind at the summit. Everything went well, and the weather pleased us, it was sunny and cool. The group safely descended to the hotel, where they received well-deserved awards and certificates for the ascent.

 Greetings from the "Alpinists Drink Sparkling Wine" group! Yesterday we completed our program with a successful climb to the top of Mount Elbrus. The weather was gorgeous, sunny and cool, you can already feel autumn, it's getting colder on the mountain, so we dressed warmly. We used the reserve day and, as it turned out, not in vain. The conditions for the climb were excellent, as well as the panoramic views that opened up.
