The team of the project "7 summits in 77 days" climbed the summit of winter Elbrus. Congratulations! ]]> http://7summitsclub.com/news/all/item_18004/ The President of the 7 Summits Club Alexander Abramov reports from the slopes of Elbrus:

Good news from the Elbrus region. Elbrus is ours!

Today, December 9, Alexander Abramov and Lyudmila Korobeshko made a winter ascent of Elbrus as part of the project "7 volcanoes in 77 days". But first, a sensation! The counter of the number of climbers fell from the top of Elbrus. Probably, from the new year they will install a new "zeroed" one.

This is the fifth mountain of our project. The ascent of Elbrus on October 24 was counted as a training one. Now the project 7 volcanoes - "who is faster" officially begins with the ascent of Damavand on October 31. It is realistic to do it in 70 days.

Oh! It will not be possible to run across Damavand, as our team of the 7 Summits Club starts climbing Ojos del Salado tomorrow. We need to fly to Chile urgently. This will be the sixth mountain of the project "7 volcanoes in 77 days".

We sat at home. Time to go to the mountains!

<![CDATA[ The "7 Volcanoes in 77 Days" project has started! The President of the 7 Summits Club Alexander Abramov is in the refuge and will storm Elbrus tomorrow ]]> http://7summitsclub.com/news/all/item_17853/ The President of the 7 Summits Club, Alexander Abramov, moved the refuge today and will storm Elbrus tonight. This is the start of his (and our) project to set a record for the speed of completing the "Seven Volcanoes" program. We believe in our captain! In case of success, the countdown of the days of the "7 Volcanoes in 77 Days" project will begin tomorrow. The time will be counted from the moment of climbing the first of the seven volcanoes and the countdown will end as soon as the climber's foot rises to the seventh volcano. Weather and good luck, boss!

Alexander Abramov can be called the "godfather" of this program on a global scale. And who else but he should hold the record! It was the President of the 7 Summits Club who conceived, and our company carried out, the historic expedition to the Sidley volcano in 2011. Since the scientific discovery of this highest volcano in Antarctica, no one has been there. The 2011 ascent resulted in the first people to climb all seven volcanoes. These were our expedition members Mario Trimeri and Crina Popescu. And this was the real start of the Seven Volcanoes program. Russia, represented by our company, is the world leader in the number of climbers who have climbed all seven volcanoes of the project. At the moment, out of 46 who have completed the project, 14 represent our country. There is something to be proud of!

10.09. Hello everyone! The individual group of the 7 Summits Club "Spartans" climbed the slopes of Elbrus today and went to the Refuge of 11 at an altitude of 4100 meters. There, in conditions of clouds and snow hail, we successfully held snow and ice training. In particular, we worked on the technique of self-arrest with an ice ax.

On the descent, we visited the Museum of Military Glory at the Mir station at an altitude of 3500 m.

The situation on the pendulum cable car is critical. The new roads are closed for maintenance, and the "old lady" cannot cope with the number of people wanting to go up and down! Every day passions run high here...

<![CDATA[ 99 DAYS! Alex Abramov's new plan to set a record for the speed of completing the "Seven Volcanoes" program ]]> http://7summitsclub.com/news/all/item_17664/ The President of the 7 Summits Club Alexander Abramov has adjusted the previously announced project "Seven Volcanoes in Seven Months". Indeed, if a record is to be set, it should be extreme, at least in its part. Seven months is too easy, it can be halved!

Alexander Abramov plans to climb the highest volcanoes on all continents in less than 100 days. This will be "Project 99". On October 1, Alexander sets off with a group to climb the Giluwe volcano (Australian continent). And he intends to finish on the Antarctic mountain Mount Sidley in early January 2025.

Good luck, Сaptain!

You can join our leader and take part in a real world record. There are places in almost all groups. And if there is no group, you can join our hero as a fan.

October 1-6. Alex Abramov will lead the 7 Summits Club group to climb Giluwe volcano.

On October 10, Moscow will host an Evening dedicated to the 7 Summits Club's birthday. The President's presence is mandatory.

October 12-13. These days are set aside for climbing Elbrus. The logistics are still unclear. Most likely, there will be an attempt at climbing SUPER BLITZ - 24 hours from the airport and back.

October 17-24. Damavand volcano, it is still unclear what program can be agreed upon with the Iranian host.

November 1-8. The highest volcano in Africa - Kilimanjaro. The 7 Summits Club group climbs the Marangu route.

NEXT - An emergency flight to Mexico. Alexander catches up with the SUPER GIRLS project group

November 7-16. Climbing Orizaba volcano according to the SUPER GIRLS project program!

December 10-24. The first group of the 7 Summits Club season on Ojos del Salado, the highest volcano in the world.

December 27, 2024 - January 10, 2024. New Year in Antarctica. Climbing Mount Sidley.

With ideal completion of all routes, it will take about 95 days from the first summit to the final one.

Alexander Abramov can safely be called the "godfather" of the Seven Volcanoes program. It was the president of the 7 Summits Club who conceived, and our company carried out, the historic 2011 expedition on Mount Sidley. Since the scientific discovery of this highest volcano in Antarctica, no one had been there. As a result of the 2011 ascent, the first people to climb all seven volcanoes appeared. At the moment, out of 46 who have completed the project, 14 represent our country. There is something to be proud of!

The most important historical photo of the "Seven Volcanoes" project. 2011, at the top of Sidley are standing the expedition leader Alexander Abramov and the first people to climb all "seven volcanoes" Mario and Coco.

<![CDATA[ Not our day! Five groups of the 7 Summits Club were forced to retreat due to a thunderstorm and a ban by the Ministry of Emergency Situations ]]> http://7summitsclub.com/news/all/item_17647/ Five groups of the 7 Summits Club set off tonight with the goal of climbing Elbrus. However, during the ascent, the bad weather suddenly got worse. A strong thunderstorm began. Under these conditions, the Ministry of Emergency Situations workers issued an order to stop climbing and return to the shelter. In principle, no one objected much. Everyone understood that it was the right decision. So our teams got an extra day off. Let's hope that nature will be kinder to us next night.

President of the 7 Summits Club Alexander Abramov:

Today, the SuperGirls team on Elbrus experienced a difficult night. But in the end, everything ended well. All the participants rested, slept, played. And this night we are planning to storm Elbrus again. The weather forecast is rather bad. But we will look for windows...
