The challenge from Alexander Abramov was accepted! In 8 hours, he and Ilya Gladkikh reached the top of Giluwe from the start of the trek. We were able to do it in 7! But we weren't really planning on racing. Our minimum program was to descend to civilization and take a shower that same day. To do this, we left the hotel at night to start the trek before dawn. But we only drove 10 minutes and ran into a blockage on the road, and a mudslide occurred. And we spent another hour driving around the back streets of Papua. In the end, we started walking with the first rays of the sun. Incredibly fast, in just 4 hours, we reached the base camp, from there we slowed down, lack of sleep was taking its toll. And we walked to the summit unhurriedly. We galloped back to the parking lot just before sunset and that same day we slept contentedly in our beds.
For Artem (Gurshteyn), this is already the third summit in his project "7 volcanoes in 69 days"!
Then we rush to Kilimanjaro!
]]>
Many foreign guides have already congratulated us on the new world speed record. 5 volcanoes on 5 continents in 27 days! Thank you, friends!
SENSATION!!! The 7 Volcanoes in 77 Days team decided to "re-climb" the first mountains: Elbrus, Damavand, Kilimanjaro.... To shorten the project time!
]]>
We climbed from the road without an overnight stay in 8 hours. We started at 5 am and reached the top at 1 PM. Now we are going down and flying home tomorrow morning.
There is a fifth volcano in the project! Five volcanoes on five continents in 29 days. Ahead is the most difficult and most remote object: Ojos del Salado and Sidley. In the meantime, we can and should rest.
]]>
Today another adventure happened. We started the journey with porters through the jungle. Crawling under another tree, Ilya bumped his eye into an umbrella. And he immediately fell to the ground in convulsions. The eye was damaged. We turned around and quickly descended to Mount Hagen. At the Main Hospital, the best specialist in Papua New Guinea will examine him. Saving Ilya's eye is more important than the mountain!

Only 24 days have passed since the beginning of the project (out of 77), and we have already climbed 4 peaks and are flying to the 5th.
There are several places in our groups for Antarctica to Vinson Massif - the highest mountain in Antarctica from the "Seven Summits" project and to Sidley Volcano - the highest volcano in Antarctica. Join now, who forgot or doubted!

Three hours later we found ourselves on the shore of a beautiful lake, where our base camp was located. In the evening we rested and at 01:00 at night we set out to climb. The route to the summit took about 6 hours. It was a little windy and quite cool, and the weather and nature are very different from the region where Giluwe is located. We saw a very beautiful sunrise, saw the Giluwe peak from afar, where we stood literally 4 days ago, and at 7 am we were already standing at the top of Wilhelm Peak!
All the participants liked both the trek and the ascent; without this mountain our adventure would definitely be incomplete!
By lunchtime we arrived at Betty Lodge, which is located at an altitude of 2800 m, where we were greeted very warmly! The locals put on a real show with traditional dances. It is incredibly green and beautiful here - after the gray and rather dirty Mount Hagen, it is simply a joy to the eye. The lodge is new, everything here is homely and cozy and made with love: large rooms, a cozy dining room with a fireplace and delicious food!
There is a trout farm on the territory: more than 55 thousand trout are grown here! This fish is supplied to all of PNG.
For dinner there were a lot of vegetables and fruits grown on the farm and of course the freshest trout and very tasty local coffee.
Tomorrow we are heading to the base camp of Mount Wilhelm, we will be without communication for two days.

In the afternoon we visited two local tribes. The first is the Mudmen. Their bodies were decorated with clay, and on their heads were huge clay masks, weighing at least 10 kg. According to legend, they were defeated by an enemy tribe and were forced to flee to the Asaro River. Before trying to escape, they waited until dusk. The enemies saw them rising from the dirty banks, covered in mud, thought they were spirits and fled in fear.
The second tribe is Huli Wig. They decorate their faces with traditional Papuan flowers and wear headdresses ... made from their own hair and the feathers of the bird of paradise, which is the symbol of the country.
In the evening, a festive dinner was held, at which the participants received the coveted medals and certificates for the ascent. They recalled the brightest moments and shared impressions. For some of the group, the program ends, and they return home. Well, a new adventure awaits us with the second half of the group - climbing the highest mountain in the country - Wilhelm Peak!

The first part of the route also passed through swampy terrain. By dawn, we reached the ridge, from where a stunning view of the top of Giluwe opened up, painted in the warm rays of dawn.
The ascent itself is not technically difficult. However, the last part of the route is a rocky section where belay is required. At one time, our leader Alexander Abramov equipped this section with bolts. We divided into two groups and continued the ascent.
At 8.30 in the morning, our "Team A" in full force stood on the top of the highest volcano in Australia and Oceania! Great weather and magnificent views from the summit!
Everyone was happy! For many participants, this volcano has already become the 4th, 5th and even 6th of the "7 Volcanoes" project.
The ascent did not seem easy to anyone. The rocky section is quite slippery, you need to be on guard all the time so as not to slip, which once again proves that there are no easy mountains!
Group guides: Alexander Dorojukov and Svetlana Kotlyar.
]]>
The hike to the camp is 12 km and about 6 hours in time. The first part of the route is a real jungle: tall trees, ferns and mosses. Then the path goes along the river, underfoot there is grass and marshy soil. That's why we wear rubber boots, without them there is nowhere.
At the foot of the mountain we have a real base camp: large comfortable tents, toilets, this season we brought a dining tent and tables. The 7 Summits Club created the maximum possible comfort for the participants in such conditions!
After lunch, we discussed the ascent plan, practiced walking in ropes and working with equipment.

This morning we checked out of the hotel and stopped at a very colorful local market for fruit. The locals greeted us very joyfully - they smiled, waved their hands and most importantly - everyone was smiling!
Then we drove towards our mountain lodge, stopping at Paya Village on the way. The villagers told us about their customs and traditions, treated us to a traditional dish "mumu" - this is meat baked in an earthen pit, lined with hot stones and coals and wrapped in banana leaves. And while we were waiting for lunch, the Papuans put on a performance with songs and dances for us.
After that, we drove to the place of overnight stay and checked into the Mountain Lodge. Now we are already at an altitude of 2400 m. In the evening at dinner we will discuss the plan for tomorrow, in the morning we move towards Giluwe! There will be no connection for the next 2 days, do not lose us and wait for greetings from the highest volcano in Australia and Oceania!

The team of guides of the 7 Summits Club has reached Papua New Guinea! The Seven Volcanoes project is rapidly gaining momentum! And in just a couple of days we will meet our large group and head to Giluwe volcano and Wilhelm Peak!
Alexander Abramov plans to climb the highest volcanoes on all continents in less than 100 days. This will be "Project 99". On October 1, Alexander sets off with a group to climb the Giluwe volcano (Australian continent). And he intends to finish on the Antarctic mountain Mount Sidley in early January 2025.
Good luck, Сaptain!
You can join our leader and take part in a real world record. There are places in almost all groups. And if there is no group, you can join our hero as a fan.
October 1-6. Alex Abramov will lead the 7 Summits Club group to climb Giluwe volcano.
On October 10, Moscow will host an Evening dedicated to the 7 Summits Club's birthday. The President's presence is mandatory.
October 12-13. These days are set aside for climbing Elbrus. The logistics are still unclear. Most likely, there will be an attempt at climbing SUPER BLITZ - 24 hours from the airport and back.
October 17-24. Damavand volcano, it is still unclear what program can be agreed upon with the Iranian host.
November 1-8. The highest volcano in Africa - Kilimanjaro. The 7 Summits Club group climbs the Marangu route.
NEXT - An emergency flight to Mexico. Alexander catches up with the SUPER GIRLS project group
November 7-16. Climbing Orizaba volcano according to the SUPER GIRLS project program!
December 10-24. The first group of the 7 Summits Club season on Ojos del Salado, the highest volcano in the world.
December 27, 2024 - January 10, 2024. New Year in Antarctica. Climbing Mount Sidley.
With ideal completion of all routes, it will take about 95 days from the first summit to the final one.
Alexander Abramov can safely be called the "godfather" of the Seven Volcanoes program. It was the president of the 7 Summits Club who conceived, and our company carried out, the historic 2011 expedition on Mount Sidley. Since the scientific discovery of this highest volcano in Antarctica, no one had been there. As a result of the 2011 ascent, the first people to climb all seven volcanoes appeared. These were the participants of our expedition, the experienced Italian climber Mario Trimeri and the 16-year-old Romanian girl Crina (Coco) Popescu. And this was the real start of the "Seven Volcanoes" program. Russia, represented by our company, is the world leader in the number of climbers who have climbed all seven volcanoes of the project. At the moment, out of 46 who have completed the project, 14 represent our country. There is something to be proud of!
The most important historical photo of the "Seven Volcanoes" project. 2011, at the top of Sidley are standing the expedition leader Alexander Abramov and the first people to climb all "seven volcanoes" Mario and Coco.

On the last day of the trip to Papua New Guinea, the Sun Shine group visited three villages, where we looked at various outfits and dances of the inhabitants of Papua.
Of course, none of them walk like that now, but they preserve traditions, passing on legends and related dances from generation to generation.
And in the evening, all the climbers on Giluwe received well-deserved awards - diplomas and medals.
]]>
The ascent was wonderful, everyone worked smoothly, and the ropes did not slow down the progress. We quickly went down to the camp, packed up our things and ran to the bus, which took us, satisfied, to the shower and bed.
The gala evening with the presentation of medals is scheduled for the next day. But now we sincerely congratulate the team from Uzbekistan, the members in our expedition became the first representatives of their country at the summit of Giluwe! And, of course, Andrey Kravchenko, who completed the Seven Volcanoes program! Hurrah!

Hello everyone from Papua New Guinea! Yesterday, the second group of those wishing to climb the highest volcano in Australia and Oceania, Giluwe, began to gather in the city of Mount Hagen.
Due to transportation problems, not all participants were able to arrive on time. But this morning the whole group got together, and we went on an adventure.
To begin with, we visited the village of Playa, where we got acquainted with local customs. We watched how food was prepared in a way called MU-MU - sweet potatoes, herbs and meat were baked in a pit using red-hot stones.
Then we talked with the locals, watched the national dances and costumes of this village. We got acquainted with the leader and his wives, looked at the place where the skulls of previous leaders are kept.
After this interesting and informative excursion, after tasting the meat already cooked on the rocks, we went to the lodge, from where we will go climbing tomorrow morning.
Olga Rumyantseva, Boris Egorov, Maria Besogonova and the Sun Shine group are in touch with you.

Two days before, after a short move, we found ourselves in a paradise called Betty's Lodge, where we spent half a day among flowers, visited a trout farm and tasted fresh fish. The next day we moved to the base camp, making a trek through the picturesque jungle. This beautiful region pleased us not only with the already familiar views of jungles and swamps, but also with the most beautiful powerful waterfalls and mountain lakes, in which the most cheerful adventurers swam both before and after the ascent.
The ascent itself turned out to be quite a physically hard event with elements of rock climbing and acrobatics. It was very difficult, but we all coped. Such an adventure will be remembered by everyone for a long time.
In the evening we returned to our beautiful lodge. Today our group returns to Mount Hagen, from where our members will fly home tomorrow.

And today we went for new impressions. We visited three different villages, where we were shown a variety of dances and costumes. Of course, people in these villages don't dress like that now. They prefer ordinary clothes. But nevertheless, they preserve traditions, showing tourists picturesque outfits and telling various legends.
And in the evening we had a farewell dinner and the distribution of medals for climbing the highest volcano in Australia and Oceania. Half of the group will fly home tomorrow. The second half of the adventure will continue. We will go to the highest mountain in PNG.
Your guides are Boris Egorov and Olga Rumyantseva.

Hello everyone from Papua and Wow! The largest group in my career, 19 people with me and Olya, at the top of the highest volcano in Oceania! Unforgettable! Today we rest, tomorrow details, awards and even more ancient culture of mankind. Hurray!
Guides Boris Egorov and Olga Rumyantseva.
The visit to the village began with a pig cooking ceremony. A pig in PNG is a great value, which is prepared only for special occasions. For example, for a wedding. Well, or if tourists come. The pig is being prepared very slowly. First, it is burned and cleaned, then cut up, then wrapped in banana leaves. Sweet potatoes and bananas are also put there, as well as various herbs. After that, everything is wrapped in leaves again and laid with red-hot stones. And leave to bake for several hours.
While some watched the pig cooking, others got to know the villagers, talked about the place where we came from, asked questions about life in PNG, took pictures, watched the local strange animals - a tree kangaroo and a cougar bird.
The locals dressed up in traditional costumes and prepared a program for us - they sang, we danced and took pictures. Actually, many tourists go to PNG for such colorful photos.
But that's not all we're after. Tomorrow we will embark on our journey to the top of Giluwe, the highest volcano in Australia and Oceania.
During a short tour of the village, we were told about ancient customs, about how people used to live and showed artifacts of bygone days. Shields, spears, magical figurines and the skulls of dead chieftains. It was a tradition to preserve the skulls so that the leaders would help their community even after death. They gave her wisdom.
In general, the day turned out to be eventful and interesting. We moved from the village to the mountains, from where, after spending the night at the lodge, we will go to the beginning of trekking tomorrow.

Today, those participants who want to recover after a long road for one day, and not immediately embark on all adventures, began to fly to us.
There are a lot of adventures waiting for us. Our large group of 17 people, there have not been such groups in Papua yet, will go to the highest volcano in Australia and Oceania, Giluwe. After that, part of the group will fly home, and some will continue the program and go to the highest mountain in Papua New Guinea - Wilhelm Peak.
Tomorrow we will continue to meet the participants and get acquainted with the flavor of this unusual country.

Hello everyone from Wilhelm Peak from the group "I love PNG"! Today at 7:00 the group climbed to the top and watched the dawn there. Now we have already gone down to the lodge. I'll tell you more tomorrow.

Greetings to all from Papua New Guinea from the group "I love PNG"! Today we had a busy day! We visited three local tribes at once. The history of the masked tribe is like this... Many, many years ago, this tribe began to be terrorized by other, larger tribes. And to protect themselves, they came up with the idea of dressing up as spirits, murdered tribesmen and scaring the invaders! Since then, they have kept these traditions and tell visitors about them. The second peace-loving tribe, who settled here about 100 years ago, dresses up in the feathers of the bird of paradise, which is depicted on the flag of the country. The third tribe, painted in the dead, symbolizes the connection with the ancestors, whom they buried openly across the river, without graves. The bones are still there. So they keep in touch with them. Tomorrow we plan to move to the lodge for climbing Wilhelm Peak.

Greetings to all from Papua New Guinea from the group "I love PNG"! There is a summit! We're already at the hotel. Tomorrow is an excursion day. More details also tomorrow.
Greetings to all from a mountain village on the other side of the world, from the group "I love PNG"! Today we have a busy day. We moved to a mountain lodge, from where our trekking will begin tomorrow. We visited the village and the wedding of our friend Mr. Pym's son. Locals traditionally cooked momo, which is pork baked in stones. We got acquainted with the tribes living in the nearest villages, plunged into the atmosphere of the history and culture of the inhabitants. By the way, pigs are the dowry for the wedding here, a huge number of pigs. The cost of one can reach $ 3,000. We are looking forward to tomorrow's trekking. I hope to be lucky with the weather.

A group of distant wanderers sends a fervent greeting from the second largest island in the world! Four flights, and we are in Mount Hagen, the place where the ascent of Giluwe begins. All participants have successfully reached this place. Today we bought food for the mountain, checked the equipment, discussed plans for the coming days. And then we slept off after the flight to the sounds of a downpour. Now we're having dinner and getting to know each other better. We tell you about our ascents, plans. Tomorrow we will move to the lodge and get acquainted with the local flavor.
]]>
Meanwhile, the group "Stars of boots" successfully climbed the highest point of Papua New Guinea. Wilhelm Peak 4509m. On May 8, almost all the participants stood at the top (one lady decided to save her injured knee).
The weather was perfect. On the descent we swam in the lake. It's so great when you have the opportunity to freshen up right after the mountain! In the evening, the ascent was already celebrated in the lodge.
]]>
Boris Egorov, the super-guide of the 7 Summits Club, reports from Papua New Guinea:
Meanwhile, the group "Stars in Boots" moved to the neighboring province in Papuasia. The road was a long jolt. But on arrival we were greeted by the whole village. We were shown the traditions of choosing grooms and funerals with songs and dances. We live in a very cozy lodge with lots of flowers. We went on an excursion to see how salmon is bred. And for dinner we had delicious fish with vegetables from the local vegetable garden. We met an amazing hostess who was happy to answer numerous questions about farming and local life. In the evening we sat by the fireplace, laughed a lot and loudly, playing "contact". Tomorrow we will go to the base camp of Mount Wilhelm.
Today the group "stars in boots" had its second day of rest. We visited three villages, watched a show of ritual dances and the way of life of different tribes of Papua. Cultivated, bought souvenirs and had a good conversation. Tomorrow we will have a long road to the neighboring province to the foot of Mount Wilhelm.
After the Giluwe volcano, the "stars in boots" team began to rest. We need to recover our strength in three days with a second ascent of Mount Wilhelm, the highest point in Papua. And we spend this time usefully, a cultural program has begun. In the morning we admired the birds of paradise. And we spent the rest of the day visiting a small local village. A whole pig was cooked especially for us. In the traditional way in the ground, overlaid with banana leaves and red-hot stones. This method is called mumu. They also dressed up in festive clothes for us and arranged male and female dances. We were led through the sacred place of the village. Despite the fact that the entire population is Christians, they still keep the skulls of ancient warriors and worship them.
]]>
And finally the adventure in Papua for the next big group began. They called themselves "Stars in boots"!! The first part arrived yesterday, and we entertained ourselves with conversations and sipped wine. And the next morning, as if nothing had happened, we conducted a joint yoga practice. Today, everyone finally gathered in the town of Mount Hagen, had lunch, checked out local shops and moved to a comfortable lodge in the middle of the rain forest. We had an incredibly interesting circle of acquaintances. The team is big, 10 people, and I wanted to listen to everyone without stopping. Tomorrow, an early ascent and trekking to the base camp under the Giluwe volcano.
]]>
Greetings from Papua New Guinea! Our cultural program continues in this country. The day began with a trip to a special place in the jungle, on a photo hunt for local birds. We were lucky to see an unusual feathered creature with a long, beautiful white tail, which is even depicted on the flag of PNG. After that we visited a new village, where we were shown how to cook the national dish mumu. To do this, first small stones are heated in the fire, and then vegetables and meat are laid in layers in the pit, interspersed with banana leaves. While the food was languishing in the ground, we watched the female and male dances and got acquainted with some of the customs of this tribe. Finally, after this, we tasted the food, delicious! Well, in the evening, chess and preference are already traditional.
]]>
A cultural program has begun on the island of Papua. Today we visited three tribes, watched theatrical performances arranged especially for us. We looked into the homes of the aborigines and received detailed answers to our numerous questions about life in this country, before and after the arrival of the white man. We were well fed, and in the evening there was time for leisure. We played chess and played preference until nightfall. The rest continues. Tomorrow we will continue to explore the customs of the indigenous population, and we hope to finish our game of cards.

News from Papua. Hurray! This morning, at a leisurely pace , all the participants, fathers and children, ascended the highest volcano in Australia and Oceania, Giluwe 4368. We slipped between the showers, although we still got into a cloud at the top. For the youngest participant Mark (16 years old) it was the debut, the first mountain. It was not easy for him, but the achievement is all the more valuable. We also celebrate Dima Tertychny's birthday today. In the morning he stood at the summit, and in the evening he blew out the candles in the lodge! Tomorrow the cultural program begins, we are going to explore the life of local tribes.
Today we walked for 6 hours through the jungle and swamps, almost all the time with a little rain. At the same time, we reached the base camp quite cheerfully. Here the weather improved, the stars became visible. After dinner we sat around the campfire for a while. With a fighting mood and most importantly in dryness, we go to bed. Tomorrow, the assault on the summit of the Giluwe volcano!

An exotic program in Papua New Guinea has started today. All participants successfully crossed the half of the planet and ended up on a huge evergreen island. The expedition turned out to be a family one. It consists of two fathers and three sons. In the evening we had dinner at the lodge at an altitude of 2500. And tomorrow, early in the morning, we move to the Giluwe base camp at an altitude of 3200.

Greetings to all from Papua New Guinea from the group "SPAPUANATY"! Yesterday we continued the excursion program and together with our local partner Mr. Pym visited his native village — Paiya Village. Here we spent almost the whole day watching the life of the locals.
A traditional dish "mumu" was prepared especially for us — a pig cooked underground, lined with hot stones and banana leaves, as well as potatoes and sweet potatoes. It turned out delicious! There is a large pigsty on the territory of the village. Pigs are literally worth their weight in gold here. Pork is cooked extremely rarely - on big holidays, weddings, Christmas, it is very expensive. But pork can be exchanged for something more useful and necessary for the villagers.
There are also two huge flightless cassowary birds and a marsupial animal couscous. Mr. Pym showed us a small collection of artifacts: carvings, stone gods, shields. While waiting for the preparation of mumu, the locals showed us a little performance, dressing up in bright costumes, decorating their faces and decorating themselves with colored feathers and shell necklaces. And after that, we joined their dances, which amused the local kids a lot!
Our program has come to an end, and today it's time to say goodbye to the mysterious and exotic Papua New Guinea! See you in March!

Greetings to all from Papua New Guinea from the SPAPUANATY team! Yesterday (November 16) our excursion program started! After breakfast we drove to the town of Mount Hagen. First we visited the local market where vegetables and fruits are sold — a very colorful place! We bought watermelon and the ripest mangoes.
Today we got acquainted with three local tribes. They moved from one village to another through gardens and coffee plantations.
The first tribe we visited is called the Mud People. Their bodies were decorated with clay, and on their heads were huge clay masks weighing at least 10 kg. They showed a small performance, after which our local guide Raphael told about their culture and lifestyle. According to legend, they were defeated by an enemy tribe and had to flee to the Asaro River. They waited until dusk before trying to escape. The enemies saw them rising from the muddy banks, covered with mud, thought they were spirits and fled in fear.
The next village is a 30-minute drive away. Here, to the beat of the drums, we were given a performance by the famous Huli Wig tribe. They decorate their faces with traditional Papua flowers and wear headdresses made from their own hair and feathers of the bird of paradise.
The last tribe that we managed to get acquainted with is a Man from Cimbu. Here the aborigines decorated their bodies with charcoal and clay, copying spirits with skeletal bodies. It is believed that these spirits are deceased people from their tribe who have returned to help and heal them from diseases.
And in the evening we had a festive dinner, presentation of certificates and medals for climbing.

Day one: transfer to the Base camp at an altitude of 3700. After an early breakfast, we got into the car and went to meet our volcano Giluwe. We drove from the lodge for about an hour. Here we met with a team of our porters and guides. The main guide of them Stanley is a man of 40 years old with a fairly good English, which he learned while communicating with tourists.
The first part of the route passed through a dense rainforest. It is almost always wet and rainy in Papua, the day before the downpour went until 2 a.m., so rubber boots, capes on backpacks and raincoats are a very important element of the outfit. Stanley deftly cut a path for us with a machete, freeing the path from unnecessary overhanging branches, at the same time telling about the culture of the locals.
— Wet leaves of this plant can be washed, they are very refreshing. There are a lot of useful plants growing in our forests and we know how and for what they can be used.
He showed trees whose leaves are used to build roofs of houses. We saw a beautiful Bird of paradise, which is a symbol of the country. We are as much a curiosity to Papuans as they are to us. The locals are watching us with great interest, looking at clothes and various little things that are familiar to us, but unfamiliar to them.
After a couple of hours of trekking, we left the forest and got into a meadow area, walking parallel to the river. The ground under our feet is quite swampy, but on the first day we did not use rubber boots, we managed with trekking shoes. The entire track took about 6 hours, about 13 km long with a climb drop of 1000 m. Closer to three o'clock in the afternoon, the rain began and continued until 2 a.m., forcing us to worry about tomorrow's exit to the mountain.

Hello to the 7 Summits Club from Papua New Guinea! Today at 9 am our team "SPAPUANATY" in full force stood on top of the highest volcano in Australia and Oceania — GILUVE (4368 m)! From the base camp at an altitude of 3700 we reached the summit in 3.5 hours. The last 150 meters of a fairly steep climb we went using a rope for belay, which undoubtedly added extreme for the participants! The mountain turned out to be not so trekking!
We decided today to go down to the bottom and move to the lodge. We were insanely tired during this busy day, we were on our feet for more than 12 hours today.
We are resting now, all the details are tomorrow!
]]>
The stars have come together! Today, all the Papuan gods were kind to us and our team members finally came to Mount Hagen, passing the longest queues at Mort Moresby airport!
After lunch, we stopped at the supermarket, bought everything we needed and went to our Magic Mountain Lodge. In 40 minutes we reached the place by a scenic road. The team members are pleasantly surprised by our proximity to nature, abundance of greenery and beautiful views.
We settled into the lodge, drink coffee, chat about the mountains, travel, laugh a lot and discuss plans for tomorrow. By brainstorming, the name of our group was born: "SPAPUANATS".
Tomorrow, early in the morning, the "SPAPUANATS" are moving into the mountains to climb the highest volcano of Australia and Oceania – Mount Giluve!
We will be out of touch for at least 2 days, wait for messages from the satellite!

Less than two days have passed since I got to Papua New Guinea! The route to the country of exotics is far from the easiest: Moscow 🇷🇺- Abu Dhabi 🇦🇪 - Manila 🇵🇭 - Port Moresby 🇬🇳 - Mount Hagen ..
I haven't gotten this far yet, and I found out about the existence of the names of some cities from the list just a month ago. The last weeks of preparation have been stressful. Sheets of correspondence with a partner, detailed discussion of the program, communication with participants, booking tickets, constant monitoring of covid rules at the docking points, waiting for a visa...
It seemed that a little more and my eye would start twitching! Before the trip, I slept for three hours and, having finished collecting a 35-kg bag, moved to Sheremetyevo. I remember the face of a nice girl Tatiana at the reception and her sincere surprise in her eyes: "Where is this?!"
Manila caused the most concern, which did not completely cancel the covid restrictions. I had to get my luggage, change the terminal, walk across the street and check in for the next flight. All these actions equated to a visit to the Philippines. What happened in fact: at the exit of the plane, I was met by two nice girls with a sign with my name on it. They found my luggage themselves, helped me carry it, put me on a bus to another terminal, checked me in for the next flight! And at the same time, in fact, they did not look at any documents, except for a visa to Papua!
In Port Moresby, one meticulous aunt tried to remove the sausage from my trunk! But I said that we, tourists, in your Papuan mountains, there is definitely no way without it! Last domestic flight to Mount Hagen. Permitted baggage is 16 kg. The surcharge for the preponderance is around $ 60-70.
— Where are you from?
— From Russia. I'm going to Mount Hagen, tomorrow I'll meet the group and we'll go to the Giluve volcano!
They smile..
— There is no need to pay anything extra. Do you know where to go on a domestic flight? Let's take you out!
Papua New Guinea welcomed me so hospitably!
Tomorrow I meet a group and - let the adventures begin!
