News from Tanzania from the Lucky Chyk-Chyryk group. Today was the second day of our climbing Kilimanjaro. And this day continued to delight us with beautiful views and excellent weather.

In the morning we got acquainted with the whole team that works with our group. In total, 47 people are with us - guides, cooks, waiters, camp attendants, porters. Therefore, we are surrounded by their care and attention from morning to evening.

Today we came out of the rainforest zone and climbed through an area called Moorland. In fact, it's not a wasteland at all. On the way we saw many beautiful and very unusual plants. By lunchtime we climbed to a height of 3900 meters and came to the second camp - Shira, which is located in an incredibly beautiful place. Everyone feels good. Even better than yesterday.

Greetings to all from Tanzania from the Lucky Chyk-Chyryk team!  This morning we packed up, left something, took something with us, and left our hotel to start climbing Kilimanjaro, the summit of which could be observed in the morning right at the hotel.

On the way to the gates of the national park, we sang songs and came up with the name of the band. As a result, after a bad debate and voting, friendship won, so the team got a double name.

The Belarusian branch of our group asks to send greetings to Slava Komisarenko, whose "Chyk-Chyryk" became half of the name of the group.

Then we started climbing to the first camp. We walked more than 10 kilometers, gained 1200 meters of altitude. It was not easy, but the views of the fabulous forest greatly brightened the way and softened the hardships.

It took us a little over five hours to reach the Machame camp. Everyone feels different. But everyone is cheerful and cheerful.

The main event of this year for the 7 Summits Club will be an expedition to K2. "Queen of the Mountains", the second highest peak in the World, the dream of all real climbers. A wonderful arena for the filming of the film "The High Altitude Gene-2". Today we finally decided that the shooting will be carried out in any case. RD Studio is with us!  The guests of the 7 Summits Club today were Valdis Pelsh (founder  of the RD Studia) and Kristina Kozlova (main director). The word, or rather the words that recorded our intentions, have been said. Things have been done for a long time. The quality bar raised by the film "The High Altitude Gene" is very high. We have to create a new masterpiece together.

The Hero No. 1 of the film is Sergey Bogomolov. If successful, he will become the first Russian to climb all 14 eight-thousand meters. And will also become the oldest climber on K2.

More heroes: Alexander Abramov and Lyudmila Korobeshko. They can become the first married couple to successfully climbed and descended K2.

And there are several vacancies! You are not only one step away from realizing your dream, but you will also become famous throughout the country, thanks to a film that will be watched by millions of people.  We believe in it, and we have good reasons.

The climbing season in Chile for Ojos del Salado 2023 has ended.  This is the highest volcano in South America with a height of 6893 meters, which is part of the project "Seven Volcanoes", ascents of the 7 highest volcanoes of each continent.  Thanks to this project, the mountain is popular and this year about 50 people from Russia rushed to it.

I want to sum up the results of the season of the 7 Summits Club.  In total, 32 participants entrusted their fate to us, of which 30 people reached the top of Ojos del Salado. These are 4 groups with 6 guides.  I want to clarify, they have reached the real top of the mountain. The highest point: 6893m.

Why I am writing about this: recently there has been a fashion not to reach the top of volcanic mountains and, having reached the lowest point of the crater, announce that the group has reached the summit. Like, geographers consider the entire edge of the crater to be the top. This is what has been practiced by many on Ojos del Salado in recent years. After reaching the edge of the crater, which is 150m below the summit, the guides tell the clients that they have climbed  the summit. And the real summit is still the hardest and most dangerous 2 hours of work.

I want to state responsibly: mountain climbers have always called the highest point the summit of the mountain, and before reaching the highest point, you can not say that you have climbed to the summit. This is a deception of yourself and others. I myself climbed the summit of Ojos del Salado only in my 3rd expedition to this mountain. In total, I have more than 10 ascents to Ojos and each ascent is a very tough struggle with myself and nature. And most importantly, with the desire, having reached the edge of the crater and to turn down.

The mountain is deceptively simple due to the fact that the height of 5900 can be reached by car. A very treacherous mountain, on which two weeks of active acclimatization are required. The mistake of many teams and novice guides is underestimating the complexity of this mountain.

Every climber is free to interrupt his ascent at any height.  You can even talk about "conquering" the mountain without reaching the highest point. But from the point of view of the implementation of the project "Seven Volcanoes", there can be no two opinions. Did not reach the highest point – "no credit"! So all those who have not climbed to the real summit of Ojos del Salado this year, we invite you to finish what you started next year.  What do you think? Is it possible, without reaching the highest point of the mountain, to claim that he has ascended to the summit?

Hello everyone from Tanzania! Today our big, cheerful, but not yet named group has gathered in full. After a short rest from a long journey (some took more than a day to get to Tanzania), we held a short briefing and checked the equipment. Everyone's equipment turned out to be in order. It turned out that the group gathered very different, but very enthusiastic and interesting people. Tomorrow morning we start climbing Kilimanjaro on the most, in my opinion, picturesque route - Marangu.

The Quatro Mosqueteros team successfully climbed the Ojos del Salado volcano. Both goals of the expedition were achieved - the first was Aconcagua.  It started snowing at the top  part of the route, but we were able to get to the main peak. Thank you all!

Buenos Dias from the slopes of Aconcagua! The Campeones group spent the night on Nido de Condores, at 5600 meters. And to consolidate acclimatization, we went to the Colera camping place, to see the assault camp, from where all the groups go out to summit climb. The 7 Summits Club invites you this year, 2023, to join an expedition to the Himalayas and climb the highest peak in the World, Mount Everest. If there is an opportunity – you need to go, there is no opportunity - you need to look!  The first reason not to postpone your participation in the attempt to climb Mount Everest is obvious. The world is far from political stability. The softest thing to say.

And if there is still an opportunity to celebrate something, we celebrate! This year Nepal is preparing to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the first ascent of Mount Everest. What is our benefit? The anniversary will be felt all along the route. And at the end of the expedition to Kathmandu, we will be greeted by a real carnival. There is every reason to assume that in 2024 China will open a route to Mount Everest from the north. And the main expedition of the 7 Summits Club will be conducted from there. If you want to climb Everest in the team of the legendary man Alex Abramov from Nepal, then it is unknown when the next opportunity will be. Probably from 2024 we will be on the north side.

Only  for a while, because it's time for us to go to the heart of the desert, where the next goal of the expedition is waiting - the Ojos del Salado volcano.

What is better:  a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine?  At the Base Camp of the 7 Summits Club on Aconcagua, at an altitude of 4,300 m, our participants do not have such a dilemma, because there is an opportunity to enjoy both. Malbec and Chardonnay are traditionally served for dinner, but we took care of the morning coffee ourselves. The organization of the process took some time. We have purchased a capsule Nespresso coffee machine, with a choice of 10 varieties of natural coffee for every taste.  Not every Mendoza coffee shop has such an assortment!   At the same time, we have a separate solar panel that feeds only our coffee machine. Do you think it was worth doing such a laborious process for a cup of coffee in the morning?  We didn't even have such a question. We always think about how to make the stay of our participants in the expedition as comfortable as possible. And again, no company on the Plaza de Mulas has such a service. So our friends, neighbors and the staff of the Aconcagua Vision kitchen come to us to enjoy a fragrant drink. And maybe you will have time this season? Hello to all from the Quatro Mosqueteros group! Yesterday we had the summit. Despite the so-so forecast with strong winds along the top, the weather yesterday was almost exceptionally perfect and, for our part, did not prevent us from going to the mountain in any way. Moreover, in full force. The Musketeers did not think it was enough to walk to the top and they decided not to stay in the assault camp on the descent, but to go straight down to the base camp - Plaza de Mulas. Today we come to our senses, blow off the dust from the equipment.

Tomorrow he goes down and we move to Chile to Atacama, to our next goal - the volcano Ojos del Salado. Active assistance in the ascent was provided by another guide of the 7 Summits Club, Valera Myasoedov, who played the role of de Treville.

Natalia Smirnova: On January 30, we climbed the highest peak of the Philippine Islands - Mount Apo 3140 m. There are a total of 7 climbing routes on Mount Apo. We climbed the Kapatagan trail, which begins in a village with the romantic name Paradise sitio. The beginning and end of trekking to the assault camp pass through the vast lands of local farmers - giant fields with potatoes and cabbage. The main part of the approach to the camp is a winding, rocky path in humid tropical thickets with palm trees, giant ferns, huge trees overgrown with moss and rivers.

The camp from where the ascent starts, which is called Gudi-gudi camp, is located at an altitude of about 2500 m in the jungle.

About 5 a.m. we left the camp to the summit. Unfortunately, due to the fog, we were again unable to admire the famous Philippine mountain sunrises. But that didn't make our ascent any less interesting.

We crossed at dusk a section that locals call Boulders - huge stone boulders. Mount Apo is a dormant volcano, as everyone can see. On the sidelines on the western side, we observed active sulfur fumaroles, the rumble of which can be heard even in the camp.

There is a small lake in the crater of the volcano. There are three peaks in total - Mother peak, Kidapawan and Digos. We have consistently bypassed all three and safely descended to the camp. And since instead of the 8-10 hours of ascent and descent planned by the guides, we managed in 5 hours, on the same day we went down to Paradise sitio and left for the city. Now we are relaxing on the beach, enjoying the ocean.

Greetings from Chile from the group "Malaquitas"!  On January 29, the group (2 participants and 2 guides) reached the summit of the world's highest volcano Ojos del Salado at 15:40 local time! At 4 a.m. we left the shelter Tejos. We were the only ones on the mountain. According to the forecast, a wind of 45 km/ h was promised, but it was almost calm, and when the sun came out, it became quite warm! We admired the starry sky, met the dawn and slowly climbed the crater. Well, then the girls were waiting for a surprise in the form of a rocky summit tower, which they will not soon forget! Using the technique of a short rope, we quickly climbed up, took some photos, enjoyed the views and ran down as soon as it was light! At 19:30 we were already sitting in the car and driving down! Today we go down to the ocean shore, there are scallops...
