The second stage of "Seven wonders of Russia" peoples vote contest finished on April 29, RIA Novosti reported. The winner of the superfinal is Mount Elbrus, which outdid all the rest 14 candidate sights. The the second climbing object in the list of superfinal is "Solby" National Nature Reserve, which is situated in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Nearly 250,000 of 3.7 million people, who took part in voting for seven wonders of Russia, voted for Elbrus, the highest peak of Russia and Europe, which is situated on the borderline of Kabrdino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia. Apart from Elbrus and "Stolby", the list of the superfinal sights includes: "Vovnushki" fortress in Ingushetia, Motherland Statue in Volgograd, Tobolsk Kremlin, Lake Baikal, Kungursk ice cave in the Volga Region, Novosibirsk Zoo, Kirillov Belozersk Monastery in the town of Kirillov, St. Basil`s Cathedral in Moscow, the Kremlin in Nizhni Novgorod and some other sights.

The final voting is scheduled to take place from May 1 to June 10. Seven winners will be declared on the Day of Russia, June 12, during the concert at the Red Square
