Greetings from Africa! Our team on Kilimanjaro has started its journey! All participants are healthy and cheerful, we hope we will be lucky with the weather.  The team is called "Save Private Nikolai".  Today we are going on a route. We issue permits, repack things at the entrance to the National Park and - on the way.

The group "Red jackets" today, on August 14, from 7: 30 to 8: 00, in full (100%), reached  the highest point of Africa. We will consider the ascent completed, and accept congratulations only at the exit from the National Park. We started at one o'clock in the morning from Kosovo camp 4850m, where we spent the night. Before that, we spent the night in the Barafu camp at 4600m.

Sergey Larin, a guide of the 7 Summits Club from Tanzania:  Hello! The group "Red jackets" continues trekking along the Machame route. On August 11, we passed through the Lava Tower (4600m) and went down to the Baranko Camp. It wasn't raining again. Today we are moving to the Barafu camp.

Sergey Larin, guide of the 7 Summits Club: The ascent of the 7 Summits Club group on Kilimanjaro continues. It is more correct to say that this is a high-altitude trekking along the Machame route, which should end with an ascent to Kilimanjaro. Yesterday, on August 9, the group climbed 3000m to the first camp, today - to the second camp at 3900. The weather is favorable, it is not cold and not hot.

Hello, 7  Summits Club!  Today, the program of climbing Kilimanjaro along the Machame Route began. The group is a team, 9 people, plus the guide Sergey Larin. The participants have just met, but, in my opinion, they have already managed to rally together.

Just a few days ago, an exclusive beer "Kilimanjaro. 7 Summits" was released. The idea of creating this beer was born during our New Year's expedition on Kilimanjaro. Sergey Vasiliev, a member of the expedition, collected magic grass from the slopes of Kilimanjaro for this purpose, as well as snow from the very top. The snow was brought by the guide of the 7 Summits Club – Andrey Berezin.

As a result, an interesting joint project of the 7 Summits Club and the Brewlok brewery turned out.

By the way, perhaps the beer line will be continued. In the near future, the brewer Sergey Vasiliev and his friends are going to the next peak of the 7 Volcanoes project - Demavend Peak (in Iran). In the fall, the Orizaba volcano (in Mexico) is planned, and there are other volcanoes just around the corner!

The May holidays were traditionally considered not the best time to climb Kilimanjaro. However, the last two years have proved that this is not the case, or is no longer the case. Perhaps something has changed in the weather, but the ascents of the 7 Summits Club team are just wonderful. Everything, including good weather and an equatorial rainstorm, was in abundance. And now is the best time to climb Kilimanjaro coming. Our summer is winter in Tanzania. It is dry period. Tanzania is one of the very few countries that has practically not restricted tourism due to the pandemic. There are no political or epidemiological risks, simple logistics, reliable service. A trip to Kilimanjaro is a great playground for photo artists. A variety of views, colors, moods, the contrast of tourists with the local population, and you can also add legendary animals on safari and the exoticism of Zanzibar. News from Tanzania. The group of the 7 Summits Club climbed Mount Kilimanjaro (5895 m), all members of the team. More details will come later. Now we have to go down to 3800 in the camp Millennium.

News from Tanzania! Day 4 on Kilimanjaro. The 7 Summits Club  group passed the test and now we go further according to plan B. That is, we pass two transitions in a day, and spend the night in the camp of Barafu at 4600 m. Next, according to the plan, the transition to the camp of Kosovo at 4800 and the assault on the summit. We started today from Barranco Camp, one of the most beautiful in Kilimanjaro. At night at the foot the city of Moshi twinkled and the stars shone, and in the morning opened a view of the entire massive of Kilimanjaro. We were able to walk along the Barranco wall in good weather and as soon as we climbed the wall, it started to drizzle. Then we enjoyed the beauty of the Karangu Valley and in the late afternoon we went up to Barafu, which means "snow camp"in Swahili. Hello and warm hugs from sunny Tanzania!

Anastasia Kuznetsova, a guide of the 7 Summits Club: News from Tanzania.  In the morning, we visited the most interesting place - the Macau Farm animal rehabilitation center. Wounded or stray animals are brought here, and they find their home and care here. We were present at the feeding of baby elephants and zebras.

And in the evening, our group gathered at the hotel. Equipment checked, backpacks stacked. Tomorrow we will start the ascent!  Kilimanjaro is waiting!

Tanzania is open and wait…

The guide of the 7 Summits Club Sergey Larin sent photos from today's successful ascent of the Siafu group on the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Sergey Larin, a guide of the 7 Summits Club, from Tanzania:  News from Kilimanjaro. Today, 16.02, the group Siafu moved from Baranko camp 3950m directly to Barafu camp 4600m with lunch at Karangu camp 4000m. We left at 8: 15 and arrived at 16: 00. This decision was made to increase the level of acclimatization of the team. Since there were already two overnight stays at 4000. Tomorrow we plan to move to the Kosovo camp, which is only 260m higher. Almost a day of rest…

Sergey Larin,  the guide of the group from Tanzania: The “Siafu” team news. Today, February 15, we moved from Camp Shira to Camp Baranko 4000m, via Lava Tower (4600m). There was lunch on Lava Taur. And after lunch, it rained heavily again. We went down to the Baranko camp along the rain rivers.  The descent reminded me of Papua New Guinea at times. I couldn’t remember such rains on Kilimanjaro.  I've never been here during the rainy season, though. Kilimanjaro is covered in snow. If this goes on, you'll see that the glaciers will recover.

On February 13, the group of the 7 Summits Club "Siafu" began its route on Kilimanjaro. On the first day, the team climbed through the rain to the Machame camp at an altitude of 2900 meters. The next day, the group climbed to the Shira camp at an altitude of 3,900 meters. There our climbers were waiting for a comfortable camp and banners of our company. And a stunning sunset.

Sergey Larin, a guide of the 7 Summits Club:  The group of the 7 Summits Club "Siafu" climbed yesterday to the Machame camp at an altitude of 2900 m. It rained all day, which was according the forecast. And quite unusual for February. At this time of year, I don't remember it raining  from the morning. But the rain did not affect the mood of the group. I am also glad that there are only three people on the route besides us. Which is also unusual for the peak of season. Today, 14.02, we continue to move to the Shira camp at an altitude of 3900 meters.

Hello, 7 Summits Club. Today, our group arrived at Kilimanjaro Airport. We are planning to climb the highest peak in Africa by the Machame route. The group consists of 8 members plus Sergey Larin as a guide. Tomorrow we go on the route.

 The group of the 7 Summits Club "Gennaker" today climbed the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. We reached the highest point at a fairly fast pace. The weather was overcast, but the large size of the signs on the top made it impossible to pass by the top. We congratulate all the members of the ascent on this event in their lives!

Sergey Larin, guide of the 7 Summits Club, from Tanzania: Diary of the "The Northern Circuit" group of the 7 Summits Club. The seventh day - 10.01. We started out at midnight from the camp of School Hut. We were at the top from 7 to 8:30.  There was a heavy snowfall. All members reached the highest point, except for one person who did not go for health reasons.

Andrey Berezin, guide of the 7 Summits Club from Tanzania: News of the 7 Peaks Club group "Gennaker" from Kilimanjaro. Today we got acquainted with the capricious weather of Kilimanjaro. We were on our way to Shira camp (3900). An hour after entering the route, heavy rain began, sometimes with hail and thunderstorms. We have mobilized the forces that we did not spend yesterday, and the route that takes 6 hours was completed in 4 hours. We settled in comfortable tents, had a delicious lunch and are now recuperating for tomorrow. Group guide Andrey Berezin.
