A group of Israeli climbers successfully climbed to the top of Mount Elbrus. It’s happened 24.08. At 9:00. So by this a guide Sergey Larin completes his work on Elbrus for this season. Ahead - the Himalayas..

On August 23th, a group of South African climbers (12 people) climbed to the top of Mount Elbrus and cut there a bottle of sherry from 1842.

The weather was perfect for climbing, with almost no wind, withd sun, warm and good.  Now the whole group went down to the hotel and resting. Tomorrow (August 24) – there will be a  solemn party and awarding the summiters!

Yesterday, the practical part of the joint project of blogger Oleg Maksimov and the 7 Summits Club "Way to Everest" began. Oleg came to the Elbrus region, and together with partners by the group has started to acclimatization, under the guidance of Andrey Berezin.

 The guide, Andrey Berezin:

 The group, which was named  “Vegetable Salad with Tuna", began an acclimatization rotation on the slopes of mount Cheget. The weather today allowed us to see Elbrus, on the slopes of which we are moving tomorrow.

17.08. Arrival in Azau at 18:00.

18.08. Obtaining equipment rentals,  cable car  for a shelter 3900 m at 11:30.

19.08.  Start at 2:00.  Departure for the ascent by snowcats. Summit at  7:00. Descent to Azau at 11:30. Transfer to the airport at 12:40. Departure from Mineralnye Vody at 17:40.

Mountaineer - Jamil from Baku. Before that, he was on Kilimanjaro, where after 5000 he did not feel very well. Plus lack of free time. So Jamil decided to order our oxygen program.

One oxygen cylinder was used completely. All went well -  without headache and ailments of the climber. A little physical fatigue on the way down. And the weather matched the forecast, the wind was strong and cold, but the climber with the oxygen  did not froze. However, little grabbed the skin on the cheeks next to the mask, as usual.

For those who continue to fight for the purity of mountaineering, despite the thirty-year development of commercial mountaineering in our country, I want to add. This climbing we  do not consider as mountaineering sport. The participant does not consider himself a climber. Those who go to Elbrus without oxygen, we did not consider as goats. Moreover  we applies with large respect, especially to those who goes from Azau with large backpacks.

Two small groups of our Club climbed today on Elbrus. They met the sunrise at the top. The weather was perfect. Andrei Berezin and Alexander Dorojukov worked  as guides.

Two groups of  the 7 Summits Club, partly united, quickly went to the Pastukhov Rocks. Tomorrow is our day off. And the day after tomorrow, if the weather permits, we will go to the summit of Elbrus. The weather is still good, let's hope we're lucky.

Karina Mezova, guide of the 7 Summits Club: Today, August 14^th, a group named “Children of Ilyich” of 3 people and a guide climbed the Eastern summit of Elbrus, by North face after spending a night on the rocks of Lenz. One member (for health reasons) left the climb earlier and waited for us in the base camp. Tomorrow morning - departure to Pyatigorsk.

Valery Tebiev: We made the traverse of Elbrus from South to North in the worst weather of those days that we were on the mountain. But there was no choice. We started at 10 PM, from the Refuge. At 5 am we were on the saddle. By this time the snow has added more wind. At 7 am we were on the Western summit. At 8 45 we started the ascent to the Eastern summit and by 11 o'clock we were at the goal. At this time the wind was already very strong. Friends helped me to make a photo with a flag. This is Alexey Artobolevsky and Alexander Sosnin. In the camp at 3800 on the North side we came to 15 30.

 Thus, Valery Tebiev successfully implements his project "Four mountains during the summer". Four mountains are: Demavend (5671m), Aragats (4090m), Kazbek (5033m) and Elbrus (5642m).

 Valery began his project with Iran, from the summit of the volcano Demavend (5671 m), the highest in Iran and Asia, which is part of the project 7 Volcanoes. In mid-June, as part of the team of the 7 Summits Club, in difficult weather conditions, Valery climbed to the top of Demavend.

 The route to mount Aragats in Armenia began with a tour of the Amberd fortress and overnight on Kari lake.

  On August 2th  Valery climbed the highest, Northern, peak of Aragats mountain (4090 m).

 The day after the ascent, Valery flew to Tbilisi. He then moved to the town Kazbegi and immediately began climbing Mount Kazbek. 6 Aug Valery Tebiev successfully reached the summit!

And the project was completed at 10^th of August.

Today, the Wild Muflons group has climbed to the Western summit of Elbrus, all participants have reached the highest point. On the way to the top we met with snow and wind, and with low temperatures. But our group has successfully overcome these obstacles. Congratulations to the whole group with the ascent!

 Anastasia Dobrovolskaya at the top completed work on the painting on the top of Elbrus... This is the first picture painted on the highest mountain in Europe and Russia.

Today I cried, cried for joy. Friends, I didn't believe that I managed it. There is the world's first painting on top of Elbrus!

 We are tired. The ascent did not last long, but it was not easy.

Valdis Pelsh's crew joined the Russian climbers' expedition to Everest, in order to climb the highest mountain in the world. The first expedition was interrupted by a series of earthquakes. Team Blitz “Desperate Housewive” tonight at 8: 00 am summited Mount Elbrus. We all return tired, but satisfied.  Weather was good.  Guide Alexander Dorojukov...

Group Blitz "Desperate Housewives" is preparing to climb. Today we ran to the Refuge of 11 and held snow training. The weather leaves much to be desired. But we are determined.

Today is the birthday of one of our climbers!  We congratulate Olga Martynova with the 18th anniversary!

The group "World on a string" today successfully climbed to the Western summit of Elbrus. Now the peak of the season and there is a huge number of people who want to the highest mountain of Europe. We waited for about half an hour on the plateau, a hundred meters from the long-awaited peak, until a place at the top was available to make a group photo of our large group (12 participants).

All the team members climbed the Western summit of Elbrus in excellent weather. Impressions and well-deserved fatigue we took down.

Today 01.08 at 6: 30 am KST group (corporate, from the company Karl Storz), all 8 people, climbed on the Western Peak of Elbrus. Later, at 9:30, 4 participants climbed on the Eastern summit. All this climb took place in conditions of poor visibility, strong wind and with reduced acclimatization. A worthy gift for the 20th anniversary of the company! Now we go down to the valley.

The group "World on a string" today has climbed to the refuge of the National Park and went on snow-ice sessions. Tomorrow according to the plan we will made a rotation to Pastukhov's rocks…

 * A group of Belgians today successfully climbed the Pastukhov rocks and also cheerfully descended to the refuge. All people feel great, and have a good appetite too!

The corporate group of KST company (Karl Storz) stay in the National Park  refuge (3900m) to prepare for the ascent of Elbrus. There are 8 participants in the group. Sergey Avtomonov, the 7 Summit Club guide from Elbrus: the Arabian group  named “Lost Luggage”, having lost part of the participants, climbed to the top of Mount Elbrus in perfect weather!

 Today the group "Fairy Dolores" climbed to the Western summit of Elbrus. Beautiful weather helped us. This day was one of the most popular of this Elbrus season.

Greetings from the slopes of Mount Elbrus! Group J & J has successfully climbed the Western summit of Elbrus! From the rocks of Pastukhov we  reached the top in just 3 hours. Everyone is satisfied and happy!  Guide Alexander Dorojukov…

Today, the J&J Group climbed 4000m for acclimatization. The weather allowed us to do that. The group is cheerful! Guide Alexander Dorozhkov.

Another group from the Arab country was called "Lost baggage", for obvious reasons. Today they gathered together, however, not with all things... We went for the acclimatization to Cheget, everyone feels great!

Father and son, Denis and Vasily Kozlenko, successfully climbed on the roof of Africa - Kilimanjaro volcano (5895 m). They are very happy. Now they say goodbye to a large team of porters and guides (their joined team was accompanied by about 47 people of the local team, see video).

Congratulations to Denis and Vasily with achievement!

They will be waiting for other peaks and other medals!
