Greetings from the fourth january group on Aconcagua! Today the group spent the first night at the Plaza de Mulas, which is famous for the cold winds. But now the weather is surprisingly warm. Looks like summer has come here. In the afternoon we took a walk to an abandoned hotel. It seemed to us a little, and we made another small climb. After a walk, we had a wonderful dinner at the Base Camp. Guides of the group Andrey Berezin and Boris Egorov.

A new group of the Russian camp of the 7 Summits Club started today its route to the foot of Mount Aconcagua. Yesterday there was a  hard day running around the hot Mendoza in search of SIM-cards and getting permits for climbing. This morning we moved to Penitentes, and went on a route.

Today and tomorrow we  will spend nights in the Confluencia camp, where there is no telephone connection. Two days later, we must reach the Plaza de Mulas camp and then there will be fresh news about our expedition. Guides of the group Andrey Berezin and Boris Egorov.

Greetings from the southern branch of the 7 Summits Club! We have finally left the most unpopulated continent. The climbing season of the 7 Summits Club in Antarctica ended successfully. Three successful expeditions to the highest point of the white continent!  All members used their not-so-easy chance to stand on top of Vinson Massif. And someone managed to stand on the highest volcano of the continent – Mount Sidley. The weather was very diverse. But somehow, in all three expeditions, the ascent plan was not frustrated and we had reached the top in the most favorable conditions. The most difficult moment was the evacuation in stormy weather down from the assault camp after one of the successful visits to the summit (the weather tried to leave us there for several days) and the next 8 days of waiting for departure from the base camp Vinson.  

The other day it will be the 200th anniversary of the discovery of the Antarctic continent by Russian researchers. We dedicated our summit climb to this date.

Well, now drying, fixing, packing of equipment and closing our southern branch until next season.

Hello from the group Un poco! Today we went down to the Plaza de Mulas Base Camp. Two days ago, we climbed by the whole team to the top of Mount Aconcagua. All members are in excellent condition, today we will give them signs of honor!

Hi Seven Summits! This is Artyom Rostovtsev. My team and I are located about 17 thousand kilometers from Moscow. The place is called Union Glacier. Yesterday morning, we successfully escaped from the Massif Vinson assault camp ... we walked a very long time and then quickly flew away. It was a very busy day. Everything turned out fine, we returned to the Union Glacier. We can consider our ascent completed and successful!

Yesterday was a crazy day and  we forgot to congratulate the President of the 7 Summits Club Alexander Abramov on his birthday.

Seven summits in seven months

Hi Seven Summits! This is Artyom Rostovtsev. We arrived at High Camp about forty minutes ago. The weather is excellent, there is no wind. But tomorrow we will not go to the top. Because we don’t need it anymore, we were there today. And now we went down to the assault camp. And tomorrow, our direction will be only down. Even we hope to fly to Union Glacier on the same day. Alexander Dorojukov, guide the 7 Summits Club from Argentina: Group Un poco went down from an overnight stay at Nido de Condores. We admired the beautiful sunset, had a delicious meal and are going to rest. Everyone in the group has a good condition. Tomorrow is our day of rest and then we go on an assault on the summit of Aconcagua.

Hi Seven Summits! Happy Old New Year to all! Who can hear us. This is Artyom Rostovtsev from Antarctica. We have a new group, the Vinson program, the third in a row. Today we advanced towards Low Camp. Great pace, unusually fast. The weather is favorable, we hope that the same weather will be until the day of our ascent. Everything is fine with us, we eat well. The sun is all day, we have summer. We are sunbathing. A bit of physical labor at the march and  during arrangement of the camp ....

Alex Abramov from Argentina: The second group of the Russian camp the 7 Summits Club on Aconcagua descended from the summit after a successful climb. We awarded all members medals for climbing Aconcagua and celebrated the success of our event.

Hello from sunny Argentina! The New Years 7 Summits Club group (5 members and 3 guides) climbed to the top of  Mount Aconcagua, at 12.45 local time. The weather was surprisingly beautiful, in contrast to the forecast. Today we are already resting at the Plaza de Mulas Base Camp. Tomorrow we go down to Mendoza. Message from Elena Abramova, Manager of  the 7 Summits Club from Punta Arenas: South Pole! The 7 Summits Club group has successfully reached the southernmost point of the planet on skis under the Last Degree program. Vladimir and Pavel returned to Punta Arenas this morning. They are all right.

Hi, Seven Summits from the Extreme South! This is Artyom Rostovtsev, Massif Vinson Base Camp. We started with the third expedition of the 7 Summits Club on Mount Vinson. Today, members of the second group flew away to Union Glacier. Now they are in civilized conditions and will soon fly to Punta Arenas. Well, we are starting our third expedition. The members have already arrived, settled down, slightly adapted in the base camp. Tomorrow we plan to move to Low Camp. The weather is great, sunny. Alexandr Dorojukov, guide of the 7 Summits Club from Argentina: Hello everyone from Aconcagua,  from the group “Un poco”! Today we walked to the camp Canada. We checked the high-altitude boots, lifted the crampons up. Tomorrow is our day of rest, and if the weather is fine, we will arrange a bathing day. All members feel great.

Today the New Year's group of the 7 Summits Club went on an assault on the summit of Aconcagua. First we go up to the camp on Nido de Condores, tomorrow - the march to the Colera camp, and in the night – a summit bid. Guides of the group Alexander Abramov and Andrey Berezin.

Alex Abramov from Argentina: Two days of rest passed quickly. We visited the artist Miguel and he gifted one of his paintings to our cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko. And today, Nims and his friends came to visit us. Also, our new large group, 12 members and 3 guides, came up from below.

 Tomorrow, January 10th, we go on an ascent. The weather is so-so, a strong wind, but the snow has stopped falling.

The third group of the 7 Summits Club with a guide Alexander Dorojukov yesterday went from the Confluencia camp to Plaza Francia. It was an acclimatization ratation. Today they came to the Base Camp. March was really difficult, but everyone coped. Three days there was bad weather, now the situation has improved.

 A special group of the 7 Summits Club with the guides Egorov and Kotlyar arrived at the base camp a day earlier. Today they explored the surroundings of Plaza de Mulas. In the morning they went to the glacier, and after lunch they climbed bouldering. Perhaps this is the highest bouldering area in the world! The mood is good, the appetite is good, acclimatization continues.

This is Artyom Rostovtsev, Antarctica, Vinson Massif. Base Camp, fifth day at the base camp. Unfortunately, the weather is such that we are not yet taken to Union Gletcher. Tomorrow we go on a hunger strike until we fly out. That is, until we are taken out. In general, things are going well. The weather is just foggy, but it does not disturb anyone. We are all waiting for departure. Well and accordingly, tomorrow group should change if the previous one flies out. A new one arrives, with it I will go to climb the mountain. And now - Bye-bye!
