Lyudmila Korobeshko, guide and director of the 7 Summits Club from Antarctica:
Good afternoon! Greetings to all from the Sidley assault camp from the group "Empanades — Chilean pies". Today is January 3rd and we are at the Sidley assault camp. Yesterday, January 2, we arrived at the base camp at an altitude of 2200, approximately, on a large plane. We spent the night and literally just came to the assault camp. Leaving at 12 o'clock in the afternoon, at 12-30, by 9 pm, not quickly, but with heavy sledges, we came to the assault camp at an altitude of 3000. Everything is fine with us. Now we are setting up a camp and tomorrow we want to go climbing. So keep your fingers and fists on us. Tomorrow we are going to storm the highest volcano in Antarctica — Sidley. Everything is fine, the whole team feels great.

Lyudmila Korobeshko, the group's guide and director of the 7 Summits Club, reports from Antarctica:
January 2nd. Greetings from Antarctica from the Union Glacier Camp! In just a couple of hours, our group on Sidley should fly away. The flight takes about 4-5 hours. On the mountain, and indeed within a radius of 700 km, we will be alone… This is also a unique expedition to Sidley.
Yesterday we all flew to Antarctica from Punta Arenas. Immediately upon landing, we were met by an American climber, David (he is the first American to close the 7 Volcanoes project). He asked us to contact James Stone, who keeps world statistics on 7 Volcanoes, and inform him about those who complete the project in our expedition and also send an updated route trek.
Artyom Rostovtsev, who recently returned from the Pole, met us at the camp itself. He's going to lead the group to Vinson now. We were all well fed, had a tour of the camp, then we set up tents and made wishes - for many it was the first night on a new continent - in Antarctica. The Antarctic white night passed quietly.
It's almost noon now. We have to leave for Sidley in an hour. There will be no Internet there anymore - we will make satellite calls. Follow our messages. They promise that it will be very cold this season in Sydney. According to the forecast, up to -45 at the top …

Hello everyone from Tanzania! Today, our Mamba group climbed the highest mountain in Africa - Kilimanjaro. We started climbing at 11 p.m. It's still 2023.
But at exactly midnight, the entire slope along which the ascent to the volcano passes, densely dotted with chains of lanterns, resounded with joyful shouts and songs.
Few people manage to celebrate the New Year in such an unusual environment. We were walking pretty fast, so we went out to Stella Point in the dark.
There was another surprise waiting for us. One of our guides wore a Santa Claus costume. That's how we walked to the top of the crater - with Santa. To the delight of us, to the envy of all, watching the picturesque sunrise on the way.

Olga Rumyantseva, the guide of the 7 Summits Club, reports from Tanzania:
Greetings from the slopes of Kilimanjaro from the Mambo team! Today we made a long and difficult trek to the Baranko camp. In the morning, we climbed to the Lava Tower camp, gaining 700 meters and reaching an altitude of 4,600. We had lunch there, after which we continued our journey and went down to the Baranko camp.
Despite the fact that it was a hard day, it was pleased with the beautiful views, the change of natural belts, beautiful stone structures made of lava and, of course, unusual plants senecia.
We were lucky with the weather. A little rain fell while we were having lunch and were in the tent. And on the descent, the sky cleared so that we saw the grandiose wall of Kilimanjaro peak.
The group of the 7 SummitsClub "Mamba" dried out and made a long trek to the Shiva Cave camp at 3900, above almost any vegetation

Greetings from the Mamba group from the slopes of Kilimanjaro! Today was a difficult but wonderful day for us. Today we reached the Shira Cave camp at an altitude of 3900 meters. We went through several climatic zones, starting the ascent in the forest, where the trees are densely covered with moss, and ended up in an area almost devoid of vegetation.
Along the way, we had to climb over rocks, overcome streams and small rock walls. After arriving at the camp and having a little rest, we walked to the cave. After that, a ceremony was held to introduce the team to songs and dances. And the weather pampered us today. We managed to dry all the things that got wet yesterday and admire the beautiful views.
The first day of the hike on Kilimanjaro was washed by torrential rain. The jungle has been passed, now you need to dry out

Olga Rumyantseva, a guide of the 7 Summits Club, reports from Tanzania:
Hello everyone from Tanzania! Today our group, which decided to call itself Mamba, left the hotel in the morning and went to the beginning of the climb to Kilimanjaro. After a little preparation, we started climbing through the amazing jungle, where monkeys were jumping.
Our climb was complicated by a gushing torrential rain. We waited out the main streams, but we had to walk in the rain most of the way anyway. Despite this, everyone still liked the very beautiful forest. We hope to be able to dry tomorrow.

Buenos Dias! News of the Totonaki group. After the snow fell at night at the Orizaba Base Camp, after breakfast, we went to the acclimatization rotation. Before that, the crampons were fitted under high-rise boots, as it was slippery on the trail. In the end, the sun did not appear, although we hoped for it. On the contrary, snow broke off at times. We walked along the mountain path, climbed through the maze to the plateau, where a fairly heavy snowfall had already begun. Here they decided that we were hungry and went down to meet with Mexican cuisine. Tomorrow we will go to the assault camp, from where the ascent to Orizaba Peak will begin.

Buenos Dias! The Totonaki group continues its journey to the peak of Orizaba. From Saltepec we went to Orizaba Base Camp. Part of the way we went by bus, then, where the dirt road began, we switched to SUVs. The camp is located at an altitude of 4200. It snowed at night, and we found ourselves in winter. Our tents are of high quality, neither the things nor the participants got wet. After breakfast we go up the slopes for acclimatization.

Buenos Dias! Our group "Totonaki" moved to the active part of the program, in which today we had to climb the summit of La Malinche. We did it! The height of 4400 and the height difference of 1300 are passed! A beautiful peak and a beautiful route to it. Everything was here today: beautiful forest trails, fascinating views of the surroundings located at the foot of the mountain, and stone scree, and even had to climb a little on the rocks when reaching the top. Tired and satisfied, we went down to the Hacienda. Tomorrow we are already going to the foot of Orizaba Peak, where we will spend several acclimatization days before the summit assault.

Nikita Slotin, a guide of the 7 Summits Club, reports from Papua New Guinea:
Greetings to all from Papua New Guinea from the group "I love PNG"! Today we had a busy day! We visited three local tribes at once. The history of the masked tribe is like this... Many, many years ago, this tribe began to be terrorized by other, larger tribes. And to protect themselves, they came up with the idea of dressing up as spirits, murdered tribesmen and scaring the invaders! Since then, they have kept these traditions and tell visitors about them. The second peace-loving tribe, who settled here about 100 years ago, dresses up in the feathers of the bird of paradise, which is depicted on the flag of the country. The third tribe, painted in the dead, symbolizes the connection with the ancestors, whom they buried openly across the river, without graves. The bones are still there. So they keep in touch with them. Tomorrow we plan to move to the lodge for climbing Wilhelm Peak.
