Hello everyone from Tanzania! Today our group woke up in the Baranko camp with a view of the wall of the same name and the summit of Kilimanjaro beautifully decorated with snow and ice. After breakfast we started climbing the wall. This is a very impressive event. We have to climb the rocks, there are caravans of porters with huge bales on their heads. Traffic jams are forming, everyone is trying to get through as soon as possible. From pleasant - very beautiful views. It took us two hours to overcome the wall. After a small tea party, we continued our way to the camp among beautiful fogs and rocks. By lunchtime we arrived at the Karanga camp. We wanted to take a walk after lunch, but the rain again disrupted all our plans. So that we decided to rest and acclimatize not very actively.

News from Tanzania from the Sharomizhniki group. We had a very long day today. We climbed to a height of 4600 meters to the Lava Tower. Gradually, the vegetation ended, and we found ourselves in a stone desert among clouds. After lunch and a little acclimatization, we continued on our way to the place of our overnight stay in Barranco camp. We dropped almost everything we gained during the day. But we found ourselves in a wonderful forest of giant senecias.

News from Tanzania. Today we moved to the second camp called Shira Camp, which is located at an altitude of 3800 meters. In the morning we were introduced to the team that works with our group. There are 27 people in total. After that, we hit the road.

It was a beautiful crossing among the bushes, picturesquely decorated with moss. The sun shone the first half of the day, but closer to lunch, clouds covered everything, and it rained. Fortunately, we just managed to reach the camp. The rain started in earnest, and we had to cancel the acclimatization rotation. In the rain, the best acclimatization is to sit in a tent. But after a while the rain stopped, and we decided to take a walk to the observation point. We climbed a hundred meters in height. Three builders have built an elegant, but it seems not very strong structure. This is the end of our acclimatization for today.

Greetings from Tanzania! Today our group, which the participants decided to call an incomprehensible for foreign word Sharomyzhniki, finally gathered in Tanzania. And immediately the team left for the beginning of the Machame route to Kilimanjaro. Since we were not gathering fast, we started climbing to our first camp quite late. Therefore, only the first part of the way we admired the beauty of the forest, and at the end of the day we walked in the dark and listened to the sounds of the night jungle.

Hello everyone from Tanzania! Today, a new group of the 7 Summits Club arrived at Kilimanjaro Airport to begin climbing the mountain of the same name.  However, due to circumstances, so far only half of the participants were able to get to the beginning of the route. We hope that tomorrow we will all get together and start climbing Kilimanjaro.  The new group was met at the airport by the participants of the previous group, who, after climbing, arranged a well-deserved rest in Zanzibar. That's how the continuity of the groups turned out.

Today our Lucky Chyk-chyryk group in full force ran up, ascended, crawled to the top of Kilimanjaro. The weather decided to test us. And it was un-African cold. Everyone was frozen, despite the good clothes and warm down jackets. That's how Africa is. And yet we endured everything and reached the summit. For which they were rewarded with incredible views and beautiful glaciers.

The group "Lucky Chyk-Chyryk" sends greetings from the Karanga camp from a height of 4020 meters above sea level! Every day we are getting closer to the summit. In fact, we have one step left before the assault camp. And everyone is already a little worried. But, in the same way, everyone was worried yesterday, looking at the incredible Baranko Wall, which we had to climb today. However, everything turned out to be not so terrible. And slowly-slowly, or as they say "pole-pole" here, we all crawled to the top of the wall, and then walked a long way to the Karanga camp.

The weather today decided not to test us. It started to rain exactly fifteen minutes after we arrived at the camp. Due to the rain, the acclimatization rotation had to be canceled. We decided that we had acclimatized well enough.

The Lucky Chyk-chyryk band sends greetings from the Baranko camp from the slopes of Kilimanjaro! Today was a difficult, but very beautiful and eventful day. The morning greeted us with the sun, a beautiful sunrise and a view of the summit of Kilimanjaro.

On this day, we had to climb the Lava Tower, gaining 800 meters of altitude, and then descend to the Baranko camp, dropping almost everything we had gained. Today the weather decided to test our strength. On the way to the Lava Tower, we got into the snow with the wind, and on the descent - in the rain. But you can't scare us like that.

Together with our guides, we sang songs and shouted chants: "One team - one dream!" and so on, ending with the invariable "chyk-chyryk! Hakuna matata!" So if you hear this from the guides on Kilimanjaro now, don't be surprised.

Thanks to the extraordinary team spirit, friendly support and inexhaustible optimism, our super team overcame all difficulties and came to the Baranko camp.  Everyone feels normal, and I would like to hope that it will be even better by morning, because this will be our second night at an altitude of 3900.

News from Tanzania from the Lucky Chyk-Chyryk group. Today was the second day of our climbing Kilimanjaro. And this day continued to delight us with beautiful views and excellent weather.

In the morning we got acquainted with the whole team that works with our group. In total, 47 people are with us - guides, cooks, waiters, camp attendants, porters. Therefore, we are surrounded by their care and attention from morning to evening.

Today we came out of the rainforest zone and climbed through an area called Moorland. In fact, it's not a wasteland at all. On the way we saw many beautiful and very unusual plants. By lunchtime we climbed to a height of 3900 meters and came to the second camp - Shira, which is located in an incredibly beautiful place. Everyone feels good. Even better than yesterday.

Greetings to all from Tanzania from the Lucky Chyk-Chyryk team!  This morning we packed up, left something, took something with us, and left our hotel to start climbing Kilimanjaro, the summit of which could be observed in the morning right at the hotel.

On the way to the gates of the national park, we sang songs and came up with the name of the band. As a result, after a bad debate and voting, friendship won, so the team got a double name.

The Belarusian branch of our group asks to send greetings to Slava Komisarenko, whose "Chyk-Chyryk" became half of the name of the group.

Then we started climbing to the first camp. We walked more than 10 kilometers, gained 1200 meters of altitude. It was not easy, but the views of the fabulous forest greatly brightened the way and softened the hardships.

It took us a little over five hours to reach the Machame camp. Everyone feels different. But everyone is cheerful and cheerful.

The climbing season in Chile for Ojos del Salado 2023 has ended.  This is the highest volcano in South America with a height of 6893 meters, which is part of the project "Seven Volcanoes", ascents of the 7 highest volcanoes of each continent.  Thanks to this project, the mountain is popular and this year about 50 people from Russia rushed to it.

I want to sum up the results of the season of the 7 Summits Club.  In total, 32 participants entrusted their fate to us, of which 30 people reached the top of Ojos del Salado. These are 4 groups with 6 guides.  I want to clarify, they have reached the real top of the mountain. The highest point: 6893m.

Why I am writing about this: recently there has been a fashion not to reach the top of volcanic mountains and, having reached the lowest point of the crater, announce that the group has reached the summit. Like, geographers consider the entire edge of the crater to be the top. This is what has been practiced by many on Ojos del Salado in recent years. After reaching the edge of the crater, which is 150m below the summit, the guides tell the clients that they have climbed  the summit. And the real summit is still the hardest and most dangerous 2 hours of work.

I want to state responsibly: mountain climbers have always called the highest point the summit of the mountain, and before reaching the highest point, you can not say that you have climbed to the summit. This is a deception of yourself and others. I myself climbed the summit of Ojos del Salado only in my 3rd expedition to this mountain. In total, I have more than 10 ascents to Ojos and each ascent is a very tough struggle with myself and nature. And most importantly, with the desire, having reached the edge of the crater and to turn down.

The mountain is deceptively simple due to the fact that the height of 5900 can be reached by car. A very treacherous mountain, on which two weeks of active acclimatization are required. The mistake of many teams and novice guides is underestimating the complexity of this mountain.

Every climber is free to interrupt his ascent at any height.  You can even talk about "conquering" the mountain without reaching the highest point. But from the point of view of the implementation of the project "Seven Volcanoes", there can be no two opinions. Did not reach the highest point – "no credit"! So all those who have not climbed to the real summit of Ojos del Salado this year, we invite you to finish what you started next year.  What do you think? Is it possible, without reaching the highest point of the mountain, to claim that he has ascended to the summit?

Hello everyone from Tanzania! Today our big, cheerful, but not yet named group has gathered in full. After a short rest from a long journey (some took more than a day to get to Tanzania), we held a short briefing and checked the equipment. Everyone's equipment turned out to be in order. Briefing too. We all met at the welcome dinner. Everyone told about themselves. It turned out that the group gathered very different, but very enthusiastic and interesting people. Tomorrow morning we start climbing Kilimanjaro on the most, in my opinion, picturesque route - Marangu.

The Quatro Mosqueteros team successfully climbed the Ojos del Salado volcano. Both goals of the expedition were achieved - the first was Aconcagua.  It started snowing at the top  part of the route, but we were able to get to the main peak. Thank you all!

Greetings to all from the group "Four Musketeers"! Already from Chile. Yesterday we descended from the Aconcagua base camp and moved quickly and comfortably to the north of Chile at night. To the Atacama Desert, where we were warmly welcomed by the hot city of Copiapo. Only  for a while, because it's time for us to go to the heart of the desert, where the next goal of the expedition is waiting - the Ojos del Salado volcano.

Greetings from Chile from the group "Malaquitas"! Today we held classes on climbing and descending along fixed ropes, worked out the movement with a short rope! Now we are resting and gaining strength before climbing! At night we go out to storm the summit of Ojos Del Salado...

Greetings from Chile from the group "Malaquitas"!  We're back in touch!!! Elon Musk failed with the Internet and we were left out of touch for a few days!  What has happened in these days?

23.01. The group climbed on the summit of San Francisco! The weather was pleasant, the sun was shining, but on the descent the wind showed who was in charge here.

24.01. Rested in full! Morning boat trip on the lake "Three in a boat, not counting watermelon", barbecue at the springs and evening karaoke with Italians ...

25.01. We went up to the Tejos shelter for the overnight, we did not meet a cougar, but admired the starry sky! The car, to be honest, didn't really want to go up, but we forced it ...

26.01. Today, not without adventures, we went down to Laguna Verde.

Now we are resting, gaining strength and waiting for the weather to climb Ojos del Salado!

Greetings to all from the hot springs from the group "Malaquitas"!  Today we visited a beautiful gorge, an oasis in the middle of the desert. It was worth it! We drove along a mountain river, swam in a waterfall, had a delicious lunch and had a great day. Now we are resting and preparing for the ascent. The weather promises to be good! Tomorrow, according to the plan, we will climb the San Francisco volcano, look into Argentina.
