News of the Elbrus region from the group "Shine Sparkle".  A large friendly company began to acclimatize and prepare for the ascent on Elbrus. In the plans of the training program, we have climbed to a height of 2700 m today. Autumn abruptly came into its own.  The heavy rain and the sharply falling air temperature reminded us that the first autumn month had already arrived. Tomorrow we are going to the refuge National Park, where we will continue to acclimatize. Guides of the group Andrey Berezin and Alexander Dorojukov.

And we also celebrated Denis Dmitrov's birthday today.

The 7 Summits Club joins the congratulations!

The guide of the 7 Summits Club Valery Myasoedov reports from Iran:

The fourth day of the program of the group "Recording in the library" on Demavend.  So to speak, we cross the equator... Leisurely packing and moving to the Mosque, a place also called Gusfand-Saro. On this day, it resembled a turbulent flow, numerous groups were going up and down, the approaching end of the season and good weather attract and motivate additionally. A traditional photo at the mosque and the ascent to Borgoh-e Sevvom, the only shelter on the mountain, also known as the assault camp, translated from Persian as the Third Camp, at an altitude of 4200 m. Why the Third One at once, and where the First and Second are, is a mystery... Delicious soup for a late lunch, and for dinner... stuffed chicken… How Narges-khanum, our chef manages to cook such dishes on the mountain, is the second mystery... Everyone was perplexed and delighted. Over dinner, we discussed the program of the next two days.  Tomorrow there will be a simple acclimatization rotation 300-400 m above the assault camp on the way to the summit and preparation for the ascent.

Greetings from Iran from our group! The second day of the program and immediately a test of strength. Climbing Colon Bashtak, 4120 m, 700 meters of climb. It was hot, it was dusty, but the group in full under the guidance of our permanent Iranian guide Mahyor went to the top. A small, but still an achievement.  Our team of Iranian guides is the best on the mountain!

In the photo from the top with us, it would seem, an outsider. In fact, this is Mehdi, our regular driver, a very friendly and caring person. He also goes to the mountains sometimes, has been to Damavand more than once. And here, too, he decided to join us on the ascent. That's the kind of team we have - guides, drivers, and cooks, all people in love with the mountains.

We went down more cheerfully. We were waiting for a hotel with single accommodation, with hot water, after such a dust! On the way, we bought half a shop of local fruits - watermelons, peaches, figs, which became a wonderful dessert for a delicious and plentiful dinner at the hotel. We deserve it!...

News of the Elbrus region.  Today, our group made an ascent on the Western peak of Elbrus. Autumn has already come into its own, which means that you can't expect good weather. The wind along the summit exceeded 50 km per hour. Therefore, the photos at the top were mostly in a safe sitting position. Also, because of the wind, it was not possible to unfurl the flags. Now the whole group is at the refuge, packing their bags and preparing to descend into civilization.  Guides Berezin &Dorojukov.

A new group of the 7 Summits Club has started its journey. And immediately set a record – bungee jump from the Milod Tower!

A quick transfer to the hotel and four whole hours to rest and sleep in the morning, lucky so lucky! A sightseeing tour, part of which took the exchange of money. There are a lot of exchangers, but they have surprisingly little money, a seasonal problem with cash. A traditional visit to the Golestan Palace, the residence of the Iranian shahs - mirrors, carpets, stained glass windows, oriental flavor delights and amazes.

Lunch at a cafe serving "dizi sangi", a rich stewed vegetable stew with lamb. And the serving is also unusual, be sure to visit and use!

And the highlight of yesterday's program... drumming... This is a banji jump from Tehran's tallest building, the Milod Tower, 435 m high.

There... see the platform?..  the height of the platform is 280 meters.

One of the members of our group is the legendary Mikhail Panov, the owner of numerous records, who has 520 jumps in all corners of the planet. He got carried away with bungee at the age of 63, and now at 69 years old and does not think to stop there.

Mikhail developed this idea of jumping from the Milod Tower, and, of course, we supported him. Two more members of our group, two Valeria and the tour guide Fatima joined him.

Many thanks to Mikhail for the idea, for the motivation, we hope it will continue and attract fearless participants to visit both Iran and Damavand in the future.

And it wasn't the end of this super-saturated day. Then there was a welcome dinner at the Milod Tower restaurant, just one floor below. Tired and satisfied, we got to the hotel and literally collapsed in bed, such a day will remain in memory for a long time!

Greetings from Iran from the slopes of Demavend, from the team of Fedor Konyukhov!

Today we say goodbye to the mountain and return to civilization. The night after the assault (our third night in the shelter) this time passed calmly and quickly. We went down to the camp with the mosque in three hours, said goodbye to the mountain and plunged into the bustle of the city again.

In the evening we had a gala dinner with congratulations, hugs, kind words, best wishes and plans for the future. At the suggestion of Oskar Konyukhov, Alex Abramov and Fyodor Konyukhov wrote memorable words and wishes to all participants on the permits issued to each participant.

For example, our beautiful girl Bayan, an Iranian guide, Fyodor Konyukhov wished to climb Mount Everest, and Alex Abramov set a date when it should be done! Tomorrow, part of the group returns home, the other part continues its journey through Iran.

Until new meetings and Summits!

Today is August 22, 2022, the second day of Fyodor Konyukhov's team's stay in Iran. Our main goal is still Demavend and today we have come one step closer to it. The morning was a little languid - a late rise, a leisurely breakfast, short packing and here we are going to the mountains!

A couple of hours on the mountain road and we are at one of the famous ski resorts – Shemshak.  Yes, there are many ski resorts in Iran and snow in winter, so many band members have already decided where they will go skiing next time.

The local hotel is completely at the disposal of our team only. Now we are at an altitude of 2800 m and we have to spend the night here.

In the meantime, easy acclimatization and a short walk in the nearby mountains.

Since the departure was already scheduled for noon, we decided to have time to do something else interesting. We took ATVs and rushed to the waterfall "Maiden Braids". We plunged into its cool streams and made a wish to come back here again - to go to the Eastern Peak from the North and go down to the South!

We hope to return here in a year, during which we need to have time to climb a couple more volcanoes under the Seven Volcanoes project!

Greetings to all from our group from the Elbrus region!  Today we had an incredibly eventful day: In the morning we went for a jog, on the way we met the legendary climber for all 14 eight-thousand-meters without additional oxygen - Maksut Zhumaev. Then we did exercises, had breakfast and went to Azau. Half an hour later we were already at 3850 - we put on the crampons and ran to the Pastukhov Rocks. That is, of course, we went, but at a good fighting pace. They accelerated so much that they even climbed higher than the rocks!

On the descent, we managed to have lunch with Zuli (our dream) and returned to the hotel to rest before tomorrow's ascent to the assault. In the evening we decided to go fishing to calm our nerves before the upcoming ascent to the highest peak in Europe.
