Greetings from Mexico from Lyudmila Korobeshko and the Nahui group. Today we saw amazing Mexico - we visited the main Catholic shrine of all Latin America - the Church of the Virgin of Guadalupe. The place is stunning in beauty and energy. And also visited the most famous pyramids of Mexico - Teotihuacan - pyramids of the Moon and Sun. Although this ancient city has been excavated by only 15%, the scale is amazing. From our guide to the historical places of Mexico - Natalia Pushkareva - we learned a lot of interesting things from the culture and history of Mexico. In the evening, we walked on our own through the dark streets of the center of Mexico City and - voila - we are alive, healthy and satisfied! Tomorrow we are going to the monarchs. What are the assumptions, what is it?

Today we overcame the Barranco wall and reached the Karanga camp (4995). Surprisingly, this part turned out to be the most exciting for the group. Despite the fact that we are tired, the whole group is delighted with the Barranco wall. The culmination of our journey is getting closer and closer...

Greetings from Mexico from Lyudmila Korobeshko and the Nahui group! Yesterday we spent a hard night at the Orizaba Base Camp - a storm raged all night, the wind shook our tents. In the morning everything was covered with snow. And the snow continued to fall. A little sad, after lunch we went to the assault camp at 4700. The weather has not improved. The strong wind and snow continued. But the forecast promised a weakening of the wind and the end of precipitation after midnight. At one o'clock we woke up to the sounds of heavy snowfall.  We were sad, but we decided not to change our plans. At 2 am we went out to climb.  By 4 a.m., the snowfall had stopped. But not the wind. And the cold was terrible. Nevertheless, at 8 a.m. our team reached the top of the highest volcano in North America.

By lunchtime we were already in Zoapan, and now we are heading to Mexico City to continue the cultural program. Pyramids and butterflies are waiting for us.

Aloha, 7 Summits! More precisely, Jumbo! As they say in Tanzania. We start our journey to the top of the highest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro along the Machame route. It is raining heavily today, but we are not discouraged, because we are filled with full Akunamata!

Greetings from Mexico from Lyudmila Korobeshko and the group "Nahui"! After spending a stormy night in the wonderful Mexican town of Puebla, at 6 am we drove to the foot of La Malinche. By 13.00 we were already standing on the top of the volcano La Malinche (4440m). In the evening we went down and moved to the cozy hacienda of Soltepec next to the best pulqueria in the area (here they prepare pulque - braga from agave). Tomorrow we will move to Piedra Grande - the base camp on Orizaba.

Greetings from Mexico from Lyudmila Korobeshko and the team that changed its name! Yesterday we were called "Tacos", but today we were given a sign - in Cholula, an ice cream lady with this name (Tacos) crossed the road and stopped us. We had no choice but to accept the sign from above. And now we are a Nahui group. Today our group made the first ascent in Mexico to the lowest volcano in the world. This is the Koshkamate volcano with a height of 13 meters. We also visited the largest pyramid in the world - Cholula. Tomorrow we are going to climb on La Malinche (4200).

Greetings from Mexico, from Lyudmila Korobeshko and a new group on Orizaba called "Tacos" (former "Cacas" on Kilimanjaro)! This morning, finally, the whole group came to Mexico City and we immediately went to explore this 36-million city.

In half a day we managed to explore the historical center of Mexico City, visit several churches, visit the largest cathedral in Latin America, found the house of Count Orizaba, visited the sculpture museum of the richest Mexican Carlos Slim, listened to the history of the conquest of Mexico by Cortez, refreshed the details of the struggle for independence, remembered the Mexican revolution, which almost coincided with ours. With some surprise, we recalled that about half of the current territory of the United States once belonged to Mexico. We listened to stories about the blood sacrifices of the Aztecs, learned the recipe for soup made from human flesh (yes, the Aztecs were also cannibals, like our good friends the Papuans).

At sunset, we went boating on the Xochimilco canals to the Mariachi songs.

Tomorrow we leave Mexico City and head to the largest pyramid in the world! Can you guess what it's called?

Once again, we congratulate our Mexican team, who ascended the highest volcano in North America and the highest peak in Mexico - Orizaba Peak (5636 m) under the strict guidance and care of the guide Lyubov Ivanova-Pershina! With the Summit!!!! Now the team descends, visits the pyramids, sums up the results and already remembers how it was.

The group of the 7 Summits Club climbed to the top of Kilimanjaro today.  What is remarkable about the ascent?  Four Butko sisters, aged 14 to 30, climbed on the summit at once, together with their father. Kirill Tergalinsky, who is 11 years old, also reached the top. And it was the first ascent of Kilimanjaro without alcohol in my memory. With the exception of the guide, he could of course do it, but he was warned too late.

Hello! The group of the 7 Summits Club is preparing to climb Kilimanjaro in the Kosovo camp (4860m). Everything is going according to plan, so the main news tomorrow is on the day of the ascent!

The guide of the 7 Summits Club Lyubov Ivanova: Summit! On January 8th at 10:30 am we were at the top. The group left the glacier 5000 m at 7 am.  After 2.5 hours, everyone was on the top, the first Natasha Sklyar!  The descent from the summit was also made in record time: 2 hours from the top to the upper camp at 4650 m. I must say that the weather has been seriously scaring us all these days, and there was a snowfall (hail) and a thunderstorm in earnest. And not a very good forecast, even from the Oso itself, for the night of the ascent.  But our team went into battle without hesitation and doubt, and reached the top in the shortest possible time!  I recommend all participants without exception for further ascents with the 7 Summits Club.

News from Kilimanjaro from the group formed by the expedition headquarters of Fyodor Konyukhov. Our high-altitude trekking is going according to plan. On January 6, the group went up to the Shira 3000m camp. On January 7, we moved to the Shira 3900m camp. On January 8, the group goes to the Baranko 4000m Camp, through the Lava Tower 4600m. I am writing these lines on Lava Tower, where we have lunch. The participants' well-being corresponds to the heights achieved.

Group guide Lyubov Ivanova:  Hello everyone! This is Lyubov Pershina from Mexico.  The 7 Summits Club Group, “Ascent on Orizaba” program. Today, on January 5, we climbed the mountain Cofra de Peroto. The height is 4280 meters. The ascent was very pleasant, beautiful and quite fast. Despite the diversity of the group, we all got up very cheerfully - less than four hours.   We sat on the top, took pictures and went down in two and a half hours. In the evening we arrived at the Zaapan shelter, our hotel. And tomorrow we will move very slowly and calmly to base camp 4200.

 The "Dream Team" of guide Artyom Brown gathered in Tanzania in full and went on the classic Marangu route.  During the first day, the group managed to do a lot:  how to get acquainted, learn and rehearse the welcome Tanzanian song Jamba Bwana, taste local fruits, taste Kilimanjaro beer, sing together and much more. And this is only on the first day! Now the team is on its way to the summit!

Sergey Larin, the 7 Summits Club guide, from Tanzania: Hello, 7 Summits Club! Today, the ascent program of Kilimanjaro by the group formed by the expedition headquarters of Fyodor Konyukhov begins. The Machame route. Initially, 20 people had tickets. But due to COVID restrictions, 7 people refused to travel.

Hello everyone and Happy New Year from North America! A group of five participants is located somewhere in the vastness of Mexico on the way to the highest volcano on the continent - Orizaba Peak (5636 m). On the way to the volcanoes, they get to know Mexico, its culture, history and, of course, gastronomy. The guide Lyubov Ivanova, an expert on Mexico, an ethnographer and an expert on ancient Indian culture, helps them to immerse themselves in the culture of the country.

  The team members walked around the historic center of Mexico City and the colorful Santo Angel district. They walked through the streets of colonial Puebla, the capital of the eponymous state of Mexico. And of course, they visited the largest pyramid in the world, Cholula. This pyramid with a cathedral on top against the background of volcanoes is one of the most photographed places in Mexico.

A short report about today’s climb from father and son Alexander and Andrey: We started from the assault camp (4600) today at 0.15. And we successfully climbed Kilimanjaro (5895 meters) at 6.17 am at the top.  The guides said it was just a great result. We met the dawn right at the peak. From 6.30 to 7.30 we visited the glacier. I have never seen such beauty. They don't usually go to him, since no one has the strength after climbing Kilimanjaro. But, we couldn't put the Russian Mountaineering Federation to shame: we went to it and returned to the assault camp by 9.20.

Thank you to everyone who supported!  Ascent (and descent) was very difficult, and I really remembered your parting words from the manager of the 7 Summits Club! I thought it would be much easier, but the weather has made its own corrections.
