The group "Little Hamsters" today climbed the Pastukhov Rocks. The weather battered us a bit, a storm began, snow and we quickly ran down. We are a little tired, but we have a day of rest  before the ascent. Our group is unusual, it has a very young member. This is Alexandra, 8 years old. Yesterday we went to Refuge of 11, admired the beauty. Hello from the Elbrus region!

 Sergey Avtomonov, a guide of the 7 Summits Club:  The group of 7 Summits Club "4x4" climbed the Western peak of Elbrus, the full team reached the top! The whole group, even though they were not acclimated enough, managed to get to the summit and felt good! Today evening we rest and celebrate the ascent!

Hello from the group "3-17"! Any work should be rewarded! So it is with us. After a difficult ascent on Elbrus,  in Terskol, in the hotel, there was a solemn awarding ceremony for the participants of the climb. Group guide Andrey Berezin.

Summit! And even two summits! Today, group named “3-17” climbed to the Western peak of Elbrus. And one girl did not stop there, and later climbed the Eastern peak of Elbrus. During today's day, we have watched the weather change. At the start, it was a clear starry sky, the dawn flashed with bright colors, then came the time of gray clouds, in which we climbed the Western and Eastern peaks, and in the afternoon "stretched" and we saw the sun. The  group named “3-17” continues acclimatization on the slopes of Mount Elbrus. We went to the Pastukhov Rocks, climbed it quickly enough. Today it is slightly cold,  on the rocks there were quite fresh, the wind is 30 km/h. Tomorrow we have a rest according to the plan. We will prepare for the ascent. Group guide Andrey Berezin.

The group "3-17" went up to the refuge National Park. In the afternoon, we went to the Refuge of Eleven, where we held snow and ice training. The guide of the group Andrey Berezin.

 As you know, the famous Russian traveler and explorer Fyodor Konyukhov became the first Russian to climb the "Seven summits". And he has a long and strong friendship with the 7 Summits Club. In 2012, Fyodor Konyukhov, as part of our expedition led by Alexander Abramov, climbed Everest for the second time. And we haven't lost touch since.

Last year, together with his son Oscar, grandchildren and friends, and under the guidance of a guide of the 7 Summits Club Dmitry Ermakov, Fyodor climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. On our website you can read a report about this ascent. At the same time, the idea was born to continue cooperation and organize the ascent on Elbrus. The expedition to the highest peak of Russia and Europe is scheduled for August 2-9.

A group  named "3-17" started an acclimatization program and preparation for the ascent of Elbrus. The weather changed from heat to heavy rain, and the walking on the slope of Cheget was raining, for comfort we put on raincoats. Next, according to the plan, the equipment was rented and  we are ready for tomorrow Elbrus slopes climb. A group guide, Andrey Berezin.

 In honor of the official opening of the Elbrus region, the group named "Cheese and Eggs" climbed both peaks of Mount Elbrus. Part of the group goes to the Western summit, and part of the group goes to the Eastern summit.

Dear friends, on July 10, the resort of Elbrus resumes its work!⠀

 According to the instructions of the Head of the KBR, from July 10, 2020, cable cars, some hotels, restaurants and cafes in the Elbrus region will be allowed to operate.⠀

We are opening cable cars on Elbrus and will work for you as usual from Friday, July 10.⠀

We urge you, despite the easing measures, to treat the situation seriously and to follow all prescribed measures: keep a distance in public places, to monitor the cleanliness of your hands and, of course, if there are signs of ARI to stay at home. Take care of yourself and others.

The 7 Summits Club was one of the initiators of the establishment of the institute of certificates of Instructor-guide of the Russian mountaineering Federation (RMF). This is a completely new status for employees of commercial adventure tourism and mountaineering. And it is not by accident that the first certificates were handed over in our Club. Alexey Slotyuk (President of the RMF), Alexander Yakovenko (Director of the Department of mountaineering camps) and Olga Rumyantseva (super-guide of the 7 Summits Club) were among the first to receive them. Good luck and new summits to all!

In Tanzania, all travel restrictions for foreign tourists have been lifted. There are only some additional requirements for compliance with hygiene standards. And temperature control at the airport. It remains only to wait for us to be released from our country. So far, the Russian government has allowed travel abroad only for work, study, treatment or care of sick relatives. But the overall pace of release is encouraging and we are confident that we will soon resume work on all our main tourist destinations!

For marathon-runner Alexei Likharev, being stuck in self-isolation doesn’t mean sitting on his couch all day. In April, he used the fire escape stairs in his nine-story apartment building to run up the equivalent height of Mount Elbrus (5,642 m!), the highest mountain in Europe. To do that, he went up and down, from the first to ninth floor, 280 times which took him a total of 9 hours and 34 minutes, not including lunch breaks.

“The hardest thing for me in isolation is to come to terms with the absence of physical activity and suppress my thirst for adventure - and I’m not going to do that,” he admits in the video documenting his achievement.

“7 Summits of Russia” is a unique project of the 7 Summits Club, which includes our highest mountains and volcanoes. We will not stay at home while the borders are closed, we came up with an alternative "import-substituting" project.

Elbrus -> Elbrus from the South (5642m) - the highest peak in Europe and Russia.

Everest -> Elbrus from the North (5621m) - the highest peak in Europe and Russia.

Aconcagua -> Kazbek from the North (5033m) - one of the highest peaks of the Caucasus.

Kilimanjaro -> Klyuchevskaya Sopka (4750m) - the highest volcano on the Kamchatka Peninsula.

Denali -> Belukha (4506m) - the highest peak of the Russian Altai.

Vinson -> Pobeda (3003m) - the highest peak of Yakutia.

Carstensz -> Ai-Petri (1234m) - the most beautiful peak of Crimea.

Seven summits - forever! You can’t stop us. We will find the "seven summits" in Moscow and Moscow region, if necessary.

Artyom Rostovtsev, a guide of the 7 Summits Club: Hello from our team, while still from the mountain! Now we are heading down. Today, despite daily rainfall, in fine weather  we climbed to the summit  of Mount Kilimanjaro. Everything is according to plan - we met dawn on the border of the crater. With our local friends at the top, we recorded congratulations on March 8, and hurried down. Now we again come to life in the rain at Camp Millennium (3800m). Tomorrow we go down completely.

And of course, congratulations on the holiday of spring for our lovely ladies from the top of Kilimanjaro from our local team! Enjoy it!

March 7th. There is one road from Baranco camp to the top, but you can choose options. Go immediately to the Barafu assault camp or with an intermediate overnight in Karanga camp. We are following the second option. It’s more reliable and more likely to reach the top. And the beginning of both paths is the wall of Baranko, for some reason everyone is scared before, and "difficult - good" after. We passed. We reached the Karanga camp with the slogan“main thing is not to get tired”, and before the rain.

March 8th. The group climbed to Barafu camp. We have everything according to plan, at night the team goes to the top, we plan to be at the highest point by dawn. That's just the weather is rainy. But precipitation does not affect our progress in any way.

Artem Rostovtsev, guide of the 7 Summits Club: Hi 7 Summits! Last evening and night there was some unusually windy and rainy weather.  It pour a lot, blew hard. In the morning, all calmed down. We go according the plan further, we had lunch near the Lava Tower. And we hope that during the night everything is blown out and spilled out, and there will no longer be bad weather. We climbed the Lava Tower, had lunch, and already went down to the Baranco camp. As before, we eat well, sleep, and gently acclimatize.
