Sergey Larin, the 7 Summits Club guide: Hello, Seven Summits! Happy Old New Year to you, from Ojos del Salado! Today, Andrei Nechet and Nikolai Gubensky, with a guide, Sergey Larin, climbed Mount Ojos del Salado. The climb took 12 hours from Tejos. So it’s not very fast ... And this is without a descent. So now we just went down to the crater, there is still a descent. Tomorrow we plan to be in Copiapo, so there will be photos and details....

Sergey Larin, the 7 Summits Club guide: Hello, Seven Summits! Information from Ojos del Salado. Everything is OK. Today, January 12th, we went down for rest on the Laguna Verde. ... We plan to storm the summit on January 14,  Old New Year for orthodoxies. So, wait for news.

Information from a guide of the 7 Summits Club Sergey Larin: Yesterday, January 9th, our group moved to the Atacama camp, at 5200 heights. Here, as always, it is windy. There are many people. Мembers feels - as it should be for a height of 5200 meters. We will be acclimatized. To the next camp of Tejos, at 5800, at the moment the cars are passing by. When we go climbing the summit, we don’t know yet. We will look at the weather and conditions. Well, bye for now!

7 Summits, hello! This is a guide of the 7 Summits Club Dmitry Ermakov from the slopes of Kilimanjaro. Today, our group climbed to the highest point of Africa at a very fast pace. The weather is cold, but  wind is not as strong as the last time. At the top we stayed for 20-30 minutes, probably even less. We took photos and now going down. All is well!

Today we had an unplanned descent down to Copiapo. A member of the expedition suffers of strong conjunctivitis. We had to go down to the hospital. There are no threats to life and loss of vision ability. But the doctors forbade to continue climbing. The rest of members are waiting for me at an altitude of 4500 in the refuge Murray.

7 Summits, hello! This is Dmitry Ermakov from the slopes of Kilimanjaro. Our group today safely reached Horombo camp. We settled in new houses, everything is wonderful. The weather today was good. There was fog, but no rain. We are neither hot nor cold. Now we are resting, drinking tea, soon we have dinner. All members feel great.

Hello, 7 Summits. The expedition to the highest volcano in the world, Ojos del Salado, has begun. Three members plan to climb to the top. One is just to walk along the Atakama. Ojos del Salado in translation from Spanish - "Salty eyes." As I understand, salt lakes surrounding the volcano act as eyes. Today we have to get to the first lake Laguna Rossa - to the "pink eye".

News from Tanzania. Fedor Konyukhov’s group descends from Kilimanjaro after a successful climb on the summit and receives congratulations from the local team.

7 Summits, hello! This is Dmitry Ermakov from the summit of Kilimanjaro. Today, Fedor Konyukhov’s group climbed to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, on Uhuru peak. One member got sick, and Anna and Alexander were able to reach only Stella Point. But, in principle, in such conditions as the weather was, it is a victory. Everything is fine with us, we are going down.

Almost all night the wind was so strong that it knocked down. Including even at the top there were strong gusts of wind. In fact, for all my years of being here on Kilimanjaro, I was for the first time at the top in such weather. But, thank God, everything is fine and everything worked out!

Hello from Mexico! Our team changed its name and became known as the "Group virus." First, Nikolai Senior fell ill, before climbing La Malinche. It turns out that in the morning he had a temperature of 38, but he decided that it was nothing. And even climbed to the top, but exclusively on moral-volitional...

 The next day, December 31, we went to Orizaba Base Camp already without Nikolai. We celebrated the New Year with turkey, red caviar and red wine. The forecast for the night from 1th to 2th, when according to the plan we were supposed to have an assault, was bad - the wind is 60 km / h. Therefore, we started immediately on New Year's Eve.

We climbed, though very slowly - nevertheless, 1,500 m of drop and the virus was felt. We all admired the courage of Ania, who from the very beginning was very hard to go. But in 11 hours we quietly reached the summit with her. We descended into the camp already in the dark.

Now a well-deserved rest started: pyramids, cacti, tequila. By the way, cacti can be delicious.

Fedor Konyukhov’s group moved today from Baranko’s camp to Karanga’s camp. We overcame Baranco Wall. According to our tactics, we were the last to leave the camp today, so as not to stand in line in the wall.  And actually, our tactics were absolutely correct, since we were the only ones on the wall, we did not stand in lines. The weather today was foggy almost all day. Visibility is not very good, but not hot and cold, no rain. Happy New Year to all of you!

We are fine, we are resting now, soon we will have dinner. Tomorrow we are moving on to the assault camp. From there we will ascend  Kilimanjaro.

Hello from Mexico! After a couple of minutes, our team starts to the main goal of our trip - Mount Orizaba. Most likely,  we will have no connection for a couple of days. Happy New Year, everyone!

7 Summits, hello! The group of Fyodor Konyukhov, today, December 31, successfully crossed the Lava Tower and went down to the Baranko camp. The height is felt, but everything is fine. We have ahead the celebration of the New Year.

Today at 6 am we went on the assault on La Malinche. The breeze pretty patted us, but we did not retreat - we reached the top. The difference was about 1300m - from 3100 to 4450. Now we are going to Tlachichuk for fruit. Tomorrow we climb to 4200 and to get ready for the assault on Orizaba.

Hello everyone from Mexico, from the group “Cinco Elementos”! Today we made our first acclimatization climb - to the top of the Cholula pyramid (the largest pyramid in the world, in terms of base and volume). On the way, we ate grasshoppers, arraces, enchilados, and guacamole. At the end of the ascent, we together sang a song about Mexico with the company of mariachi ... Ahead – to  the volcano La Malincha.

 Hello from Mexico! Today, December 28, the entire team gathered in Mexico City.

After checking the equipment, we went to explore the largest Spanish-speaking city on Earth. First of all, we visited Grasshopper Hill (Chapultepec), where the beautiful Chapultepec castle is located.

Then we wandered around the grand expositions of the Anthropological Museum. We watched as the local Indians fell, whirling around  in a dance. And even participated in simpler, but no less colorful dances with fire.

 With fights we made our way to the central square of Sokalo (they say the second in the world after the Red Square). With fights we retreated back home. Now we relax before the start of the sports program.

Hello from Papua! Perhaps this is the last one. Tomorrow we're flying home, and today we were having a blast in Papua. We visited mudmen, hulimen, skeletonmen. With each of these tribes we sang and danced. Then we participated in the preparation of a special dish "Mumu" - thus, we were given a great honor.

 We also shot with bows and spears, visited the mausoleum with skulls, and met the family of the chief of the village of Paya, whose members appeared to us in a very naked form. Probably, it is also a sign of great respect for us...

 In General, we leave this hospitable country with a lot of pleasant impressions and photos. We promised local to return on their festivals. They invited us very much.
