A group of 5 people climbed Kilimanjaro on March 7, 2018. The entire journey lasted from 3 to 9 March.

The team members reached the top in the conditions of heavy snowfall, not typical for this time and the region. But they did it and the difficulty only united the group!

 In general we enjoyed the climb. Very experienced, sociable guides Victor and Rashid! They supported the group in a good mood, even when we  did not laugh very much. Every morning and evening they check the health of everyone, gave recommendations.

Unprecedented for March, the big snow can be not only in Moscow!  Groups of the 7 Summits Club were in the similar situation on Kilimanjaro. In cold conditions and zero visibility our members and guides tried to get to Uhuru peak. But not everyone succeeded! Someone managed to climb to the top and to descend back.  But some of our members was less fortunate. But, nevertheless, in these unrealistic for African conditions, our comrades managed to reach the edge of the crater - Gilmans point. Which is a great achievement! And they became witnesses a rare natural phenomenon in Tanzania-a snowstorm in Africa! Their good luck we can only envy!

The 7 Summits Club thanks Mikhail Netishinsky for the great selection of quality pictures that he sent us in return from Kilimanjaro!  And for the original slide show. Mikhail visited Tanzania in early February this year, climbed to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro and visited national parks, where he managed to make excellent shooting of local fauna…

News from Tanzania, from the group of Nikolai Sokolov.  And some more information on the end of the season on Kilimanjaro.

 Yesterday on March 1th Nikolay Sokolov's group went down from the mountain and returned to civilization where they were waited by a shower, a festive dinner and pure warm bed. Everyone was tired, but satisfied and happy. According to them everything was cool, but suddenly hard!  On the slopes they had to work out in full, but immediately it is clear that all the efforts and careful preparation were not in vain.

 I would also like to note that for this season January / February 2018 (2 months!) with the 7 Summits Club, more than 100 people climbed the highest peak of the African continent!!!!

And HORROR! We even miss our bronze medals of the 7 Summits Club “For climbing Kilimanjaro”, which we sent to Tanzania for the upcoming season. We offer our deepest apologies in advance to the groups that have successfully reached the summit and are now going down for the imprudent mistake on our part. But, of course, all participants will be awarded.

Every climber will be invited to the ceremony in person!

A message from Nikolai Sokolov. February 28th, 10: 16. Nikolay Sokolov's team has climbed today to the highest peak of Africa, UHURU peak (5,895 m), all together, and they are now on the descent. Part of the group has already returned to the base camp of Barafu, some still on the way. After 3 hours, all should all be in the Millennium camp at 3800 m. The Weather is good!

 From us: we wish everyone a safe descent and completion of the program!

Sergey Larin, guide of The 7 Summits Club from Mexico: Hello! Today 26.02, as it was written in the program, at 13:30, Miguel, Sergio and Julio were on the top of Orizaba. At 22:00 we arrived back toSiapan. Details later, as I want to sleep (we went out to the mountain at 1 a.m.)

Five groups of the 7 Summits Club went to Africa a few days ago. And so we got the first reports of success on Kilimanjaro.

 21 Feb Tolkunova Yuliya and Tatyana Osharova successfully summited the highest peak in Africa Kilimanjaro along the shortest and sports route - Marangu at 5 days.

  Through the day, members of the group of the 7 Summits Club Sergey Voskresenskiy and Andrei Markov have successfully made the ascent by the Machame route.  All the details of the expedition You can see in the photos by Sergei Voskresensky…

Sergey Larin, a guide of  the 7 Summits Club from Mexico, the third Day. 23.02. Acclimatization ascent to the top of  La Malinche, 4450 m. We left the shelter at 3000 m in 7 a.m., after 6 hours we were at the top. Local guide Julio accompanied us. And also a dog who earned a sandwich for climbing to the top.  After the descent we moved to a hotel in Tapana, closer to Orizaba.  Everyone is tired, yet it was a climb up  to 1400m in height, and only on the third day. Tomorrow it will show, I hope, that we will recover completely.

Sergey Larin, guide of 7 summits Club: Hello, 7 summits! The journey on Orizaba began for our small group of 2 persons.  Mikhail Kornev and me, Sergey Larin – as a guide.

Day the first, 21.02. The beginning of travel. Arrival of the party in Mexico city (the altitude of the city is 2250 m). Near the hotel we found a street called the Neva river, in honor of the St. Petersburg river and our 2017 revolution. It is uniquely decorated, photo attach.

 The group plans to start tomorrow towards volcanoes starting with acclimatization on the beautiful peak of La Malinche.

Elena Mitrofanova was climbing Kilimanjaro in a team with Valentin Mamrak and Mary Zisman in the new year period and at the beginning of 2018. Anastasia and Konstantin Lapko stood on top of Kilimanjaro on February 8, 2018. They went up by the shortest route, Marangu (in sport version - in 5 days) and successfully coped with this difficult task. Then Anastasia and Konstantin went on a Safari through the parks of Tanzania and are now returning home. Congratulations on the summit and wish you further achievements!

 Anastasia Lapko: Oh, everything was just great!!! We are now at Dubai airport. Guides - well done!!! A huge thanks to them! For me, this ascent turned out to be much easier than Elbrus, as a walk. But my husband covered by mountain sickness. But if I was not a biochemist and not taking pills, he could not be reached the summit. Although the figures were the same for we all (me, husband, and guide). It was great! We are insanely happy!

News from Tanzania. Another group of 7 summits Club successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. Members of the expedition received their diplomas. We congratulate them on the summit and wish them continued success!

30 January 2018 the group of climbers of the 7 Summits Club climbed to the highest volcano on our planet Mount Ojos del Salado.  This peak height of 6893 meters is located in the unique natural features of the area - Atacama desert. In the groupe there was 9 participants, among them Vasily Shakhnovsky with closest friends…

Mikhail Nitishinsky from Tanzania: "On February 3th at 6: 16 AM we climbed up to Uhuru peak. Hurray!

The day before that, I managed to scatter, with a temperature of 38.5, hunk and a complete lack of appetite. But somehow I was able to mobilize myself and... And it worked."

On 29 January, a large group of  the 7 Summits Club under the leadership of guides of Sergey Larin and Artem Rostovtsev climbed to the top of the highest volcano in the world Mount Ojos del Salado. Artem Rostovtsev, a guide of the 7 Summits Club:

Yesterday, a group of "Check and mate" (who called us?), all members stood on the top of Ojos Del Salado. All who went up, all got the summit. Nine persons, all together, in unison, not separately. Even some short period of acclimatization did not affect our movement to the top of the highest volcano in the world. By midnight we dropped all climbed 6900 m and have returned to Copiapo.

Hello! Here is Alexander Abramov, the expedition Ojos del Salado. Today, 28 January, our first group of 12 people reached the summit, under the leadership of three guides – Alexander Abramov, Ivan Dusharin and Victor Yershov.  12 people made the ascent on Ojos del Salado. Two – to the edge of the crater, and 10 people to the top of Ojos del Salado. You can congratulate us – it is a very good result. Maybe never as many people do not come to the top, I mean Russian, of course.

Waiting for tomorrow's result, for the second group, in which 12 people too must climb the summit. Weather, it is strange, is good. But let's see what happens on the descent.

 We are almost done, tomorrow we go to sea. In Copiapo. Bye!
