6/19- News from Alaska. 2nd group of 7 Summits Club with Lyudmila Korobeshko is getting to fly out to the Kahiltna Glacier/ Base Camp of Denali. Real adventures is about to begin.

June 19. Alaska in touch. Yesterday, June 18, we had a busy day in Anchorage. In the morning, having fortified ourselves with crabs, we checked our gear. Then we went shopping. And in the evening, we won a decisive victory - we got hold of Zhamilya's missing luggage.

Today we are moving to Talkeetna, going to the rangers and after that we will try to fly to the glacier. We have not yet come up with a name for our international group (Russia, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Romania). But we are working on it.

Greetings from the Elbrus region from the "NaKoshkah" group! Acclimatization is complete, yesterday we climbed Pastukhov Rocks. Today is a day of rest and tonight we will climb the mountain. The weather is expected to be good. Wish us luck!

6/18- This season in Alaska for the 7 Summits Club is pretty busy. We meet and welcome climbers from around the world. They share their climbing stories and we share ours! 

Today we are happy to welcome and award other international groups of climbers who successfully made it to the summit of Mt. McKinley. 

 Qiao Yang, Dmitri Gordeev, Tom Mcgibbca and Thomas Hanski from USA, England and Russia, summited on June 17.

Kyriakos Avgoustis from Greece summited on June 14.

Tomasz Maciaszczyk from Poland summited on June 14.

Pavel Eframov from USA summited on June 14.

The flight went well. There was good visibility, which allowed us to take panoramic photos. The plane landed safely on the glacier surface and a new stage of the expedition began for the group. Thanks to the use of Starlink, we can now receive operational information from the slopes of Mount Denali-McKinley.

Dmitry Semenov, the guide of the 7 Summits Club, reports from Elbrus region:

 Greetings from the slopes of Elbrus! Today, our  group "Semyonovtsy" made their main high-altitude acclimatization rotation to Pastukhov Rocks at an altitude of 4600 meters. In good weather and in a great mood, we completed the planned route. Tomorrow is a day of rest and then an assault on the summit.

 Alexander Abramov, president of the 7 Summits Club, reports from Alaska:

Our team flew out to the glacier. Now we have 20 days of snow and glaciers ahead.

We will fight like lions. The weather is bad. It's raining at Base Camp. The snow is melting. The huge cracks that McKinley is famous for are opening up.

Greetings to everyone from Elbrus from the group "Russian Alpine Federation"! Today the weather was very good and we slowly went to acclimatize to Pastukhov Rocks. The participants are feeling well, the mood is fighting. We are resting, preparing to storm the summit.

6/17 - News from Alaska. The 7 Summits Club Team didn’t fly to the glacier today because of the weather. Planning to departure tomorrow morning. Meanwhile the team is having fun at the base camp of the 7 Summits Club in Talkeetna and celebrating birthday of a teammate Andrey Fedorov!

June 17. Greetings from Alaska to everyone from the second team of the 7 Summits Club on Denali! Today all the participants of the upcoming expedition arrived in Anchorage. We managed to walk along the lake with seaplanes, where our hotel is located, found "fun" shops with what is legal in Alaska and tasted the meat of local crabs. We also visited the Chilkoot Charlie night club, where an exhibition about Russia over the past 150 years is presented.

Tomorrow we have a check of equipment and purchases. The day after tomorrow, according to the plan, we move to Talkeetna and fly out to the glacier.

The President of the 7 Summits Club Alexander Abramov reports from Alaska:

Today the 7 Summits Club Denali team with guide Abramov visited the Ranger station. We had a briefing. We found out where to pee and where to .... How to behave if we meet a polar bear.

Then we moved with our things to the flight to the Talkeetna airfield, where Air Taxi is based.

But the flight was initially postponed until 13:00, and then until 16:00 ....

 Greetings from the slopes of Elbrus! Today, our supergroup called "Semyonovtsy" went to the slopes of Elbrus to the Refuge of Eleven (4070m) as part of acclimatization. There, snow and ice classes were held, where we practiced self-arrest skills using an ice axe, as well as the technique of moving along a snow slope, moving in a rope group, and passing a fixed rope.

Greetings from the Elbrus region from the "NaKoshkah" group! Today, we climbed the slopes of Elbrus, checked into our favorite refuge, changed clothes and walked to the area of the “Refuge of 11”. There, we held classes on using an ice axe and learned to distinguish it from a carabiner. The weather is foggy, we didn't see any views today again. We continue working.

 News from the "Russian Alpine Federation" group. Today we climbed the slopes of Elbrus, to the National Park refuge. We settled into comfortable trailers, had a snack and then went out to acclimatize in the “Refuge of 11” area. There we held snow training with self-arrest on a steep slope, all participants mastered the program perfectly. There is a lot of snow. The participants feel great.

President of the 7 Summits Club Alexander Abramov reports from Alaska:

The first team of the 7 Summits Club has arrived in Alaska. The group has eight participants and the guide Alexander Abramov. Three American guides will also be working with us on the ascent.

 The entire team has settled on the territory of the 7 Summits Club office in Talkeetna. We are spending the night in tents. According to the plan, the team should fly out to the glacier tomorrow morning and our adventure to Denali will begin.

6/16 - 7 Summits Club in Talkeetna is not just an office, it’s a place where climbers from around the world can meet each other and unite. Today we welcomed our old friend Tashi Lakra Sherpa. Our President Alex Abramov awarded him with a medal for his successful Denali summit back to 2017!

Today Tashi left for his another McKinley climb! Wishing you good weather and good luck!

  Greetings from the Elbrus region! Today (16.06) our new group in its first acclimatization rotation climbed the slopes of Mount Cheget to the famous cafe "Ai" at an altitude of 2700 meters. We walked along a picturesque forest path, admiring the beauty of nature. The second part of the path passed in the area of alpine meadows, visibility was limited, we did not see the mountains. Tomorrow we have our first exit to the heights, to the slopes of Elbrus, where snow lessons will be held.

6/16 - Another Big News from Alaska! New Day- New Achievements!

The 7 Summits Club is proud to welcome in our Talkeetna office another Denali Summiters, independent American climbers: Danny Innamorati, Daniel Bateman and Daniel Langemann. 

Innamoratti and Bateman climbed McKinley via Cassin Ridge, which is a challenging and iconic alpine climb and considered one of the most sought-after big mountain climbs in North America. It's a direct, 9,000-foot ascent on the South Face, requiring technical ice and rock-climbing skills. The route is known for its steepness, commitment, and limited escape option!!!

It’s a huge achievement! Congratulations! Well-deserved summit!!!

Greetings from the Elbrus region from the group called "NaKoshkah"! Today we began our acclimatization on the slopes of Mount Cheget. We did not like the views, there were only clouds and snow. But overall, we had a great walk. We continue to work according to our program.

6/15 - exciting news from Alaska! Today 7 Summits Club is thrilled to welcome and award special guest and climber Alfa Karina Arrué!

She is the first person and first woman from El Salvador who successfully summited Mt. Denali - on June 13 at 5:20am! She did it independently and in just 7 days!

Alfa Karina also is the first person and first woman from El Salvador who successfully summited Mt. Everest in 2022.
