Jumbo from Tanzania! The second day of the program of the group "How to get to the library" is the climb to the Shira camp at 3900 m, a steeper climb and several rocky sections. The weather has taken pity on us, precipitation is weakening, and, hopefully, it will be drier in the higher camps according to the forecast. Everyone feels good, the appetite is excellent, local chefs are trying very hard for us, the range of dishes is large. Today is an important day for us, the trek to the Baranko camp via the Lava Tower at 4600 m, the highest point of the acclimatization program, after its passage we will still have two days to consolidate acclimatization before storming the summit.

Monday, May 1, the first day of the program of the new group of the 7 Summits Club on Kilimanjaro. We are trying to discern positive signs in everything that happens. On the first day we reached the Machame camp at an altitude of 3000 m in the conditions of incessant rain, so that it was time to think about renaming the group. The day before, out of many options, we stopped at "How to get to the library".  But at the crossing, the thought flashed through my head, maybe rename it to "How to get somewhere where it's not so damp...". But we are positive seekers... And we found it! The group showed enviable willpower and character, difficult weather conditions only united and tempered us, and this is the most important thing. Tomorrow we have a transfer to the Shira camp, and we are ready for any challenges.

The Style of the 7 Summits Club. About morning coffee at Aconcagua Base Camp

Guide of the 7 Summits Club Valery Myasoedov from Argentina:

What is better:  a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine?  At the Base Camp of the 7 Summits Club on Aconcagua, at an altitude of 4,300 m, our participants do not have such a dilemma, because there is an opportunity to enjoy both. Malbec and Chardonnay are traditionally served for dinner, but we took care of the morning coffee ourselves. The organization of the process took some time. We have purchased a capsule Nespresso coffee machine, with a choice of 10 varieties of natural coffee for every taste.  Not every Mendoza coffee shop has such an assortment!   At the same time, we have a separate solar panel that feeds only our coffee machine. Do you think it was worth doing such a laborious process for a cup of coffee in the morning?  We didn't even have such a question. We always think about how to make the stay of our participants in the expedition as comfortable as possible. And again, no company on the Plaza de Mulas has such a service. So our friends, neighbors and the staff of the Aconcagua Vision kitchen come to us to enjoy a fragrant drink. And maybe you will have time this season? Well, if it doesn't work out in this, then welcome to the next one!... Bienvenidos a Argentina! From Aconcagua Base Camp Valery Myasoedov.

And here we are again gathering here, on the other side of the world in the Southern Hemisphere, when we have a cold winter in Russia, there is always sunshine, lots of light and warmth, delicious tart wine and the best steaks, endless pampas and numerous mountain peaks, amazingly beautiful snow-capped summits and fantastic glaciers, unique Patagonia and Iguazu waterfalls... It's all about Argentina, of course! The team of guides of the 7 Summits Club gathered in Mendoza yesterday on the eve of the upcoming season in Aconcagua, and it promises to be long and eventful.  By the end of February, dozens of lucky people will try to realize their dreams with us. Aconcagua, 6962 m, always attracts climbers with its exclusivity - the highest point of America, the second highest peak of the Seven Summits program, a unique corner of the world in the Andes mountain system. And we have a lot to do to ensure that our groups receive everything necessary for the successful completion of the program. In the next few days we will reactivate our casts, check all the equipment, buy the necessary equipment and food for high-quality operation of the Base and high-altitude camps.  There is a lot of work to be done, and we will do everything possible, put our whole soul into providing our groups with the highest level of service. If you still have doubts about participating in the ascent program on Aconcagua, discard them! We are waiting for you!

From Mendoza, the guides of the 7 Summits Club are Viktor Volodin, Andrey Berezin, Dmitry Semenov and Valery Myasoyedov.

Greetings from Tehran! The final group of the 2022 season was held at a high level.  Having made the ascent in 6 hours and 20 minutes to the top of Damavand, we put not a dot, but an exclamation mark for the whole season as a whole! Oksana and Andrey, having shown excellent physical fitness during acclimatization rotation, and on the summit day, showed themselves worthily. The weather was not as comfortable as in summer.  September is the autumn season with strong cold winds, the more deserved and desired was the peak. Well done!

Yes, the 2022 season on Damavand turned out well for the 7 Summits Club. For the first time, during the whole season, from June to September, we formed several groups every month, and it is important to note that we ensured 100% ascent of all participants to the top. We hope that the next season will be just as eventful and successful! Damavand is waiting for you!

The guide of the 7 Summits Club Valery Myasoedov reports from Iran:

The final day of the program of the group "Recording in the library" turned out to be eventful. Early breakfast and descent to the Mosque, transfer to the hotel in Tehran, a long-awaited shower and a soft bed. After a short rest, a visit to the Tajrish Bazaar, but we arrived almost on time for the festive dinner and the awarding ceremony. The new restaurant "Narajestan", the choice of our Iranian partners corresponded to the solemnity of the moment. This is a modern and stylish restaurant, with excellent cuisine.  A traditional award ceremony was held here, the participants received diplomas and medals from the 7 Summits Club and also from Iranian partners. There were words of gratitude to the Iranian guides, who once again confirmed their high level.

The day before, on September 6, the group climbed to the top of Damavand: 8 participants and 3 guides, 2 Iranian and  the 7 Summits Club guide. A good pace, excellent, almost windless weather, allowed us to spend more than an hour at the top. And incredible events were developing at the top! Mikhail Panov, our record holder in bungee jumping, set another achievement, stood for more than 10 minutes with bare feet on nails at the top, hardly anyone had done it before him. The achievement was recorded on video. Then our Iranian guide Mahior came up with two participants, and congratulations to our beloved guide on his birthday began.  We knew about it in advance and prepared well, wrote congratulations on the poster in three languages.  We sang Happy birthday to him in three languages with a guitar, for this Timur specially brought the guitar to the top, gave him an army ushanka, arranged a real holiday for our friend. Timur then performed the best songs of his repertoire, there was no end from those who wanted to listen and take pictures with him.

The fourth day of the program of the group "Recording in the library" on Demavend.  So to speak, we cross the equator... Leisurely packing and moving to the Mosque, a place also called Gusfand-Saro. On this day, it resembled a turbulent flow, numerous groups were going up and down, the approaching end of the season and good weather attract and motivate additionally. A traditional photo at the mosque and the ascent to Borgoh-e Sevvom, the only shelter on the mountain, also known as the assault camp, translated from Persian as the Third Camp, at an altitude of 4200 m. Why the Third One at once, and where the First and Second are, is a mystery... Delicious soup for a late lunch, and for dinner... stuffed chicken… How Narges-khanum, our chef manages to cook such dishes on the mountain, is the second mystery... Everyone was perplexed and delighted. Over dinner, we discussed the program of the next two days.  Tomorrow there will be a simple acclimatization rotation 300-400 m above the assault camp on the way to the summit and preparation for the ascent.

Greetings from Iran from our group! The second day of the program and immediately a test of strength. Climbing Colon Bashtak, 4120 m, 700 meters of climb. It was hot, it was dusty, but the group in full under the guidance of our permanent Iranian guide Mahyor went to the top. A small, but still an achievement.  Our team of Iranian guides is the best on the mountain!

In the photo from the top with us, it would seem, an outsider. In fact, this is Mehdi, our regular driver, a very friendly and caring person. He also goes to the mountains sometimes, has been to Damavand more than once. And here, too, he decided to join us on the ascent. That's the kind of team we have - guides, drivers, and cooks, all people in love with the mountains.

We went down more cheerfully. We were waiting for a hotel with single accommodation, with hot water, after such a dust! On the way, we bought half a shop of local fruits - watermelons, peaches, figs, which became a wonderful dessert for a delicious and plentiful dinner at the hotel. We deserve it!...

A quick transfer to the hotel and four whole hours to rest and sleep in the morning, lucky so lucky! A sightseeing tour, part of which took the exchange of money. There are a lot of exchangers, but they have surprisingly little money, a seasonal problem with cash. A traditional visit to the Golestan Palace, the residence of the Iranian shahs - mirrors, carpets, stained glass windows, oriental flavor delights and amazes.

Lunch at a cafe serving "dizi sangi", a rich stewed vegetable stew with lamb. And the serving is also unusual, be sure to visit and use!

And the highlight of yesterday's program... drumming... This is a banji jump from Tehran's tallest building, the Milod Tower, 435 m high.

There... see the platform?..  the height of the platform is 280 meters.

One of the members of our group is the legendary Mikhail Panov, the owner of numerous records, who has 520 jumps in all corners of the planet. He got carried away with bungee at the age of 63, and now at 69 years old and does not think to stop there.

Mikhail developed this idea of jumping from the Milod Tower, and, of course, we supported him. Two more members of our group, two Valeria and the tour guide Fatima joined him.

Many thanks to Mikhail for the idea, for the motivation, we hope it will continue and attract fearless participants to visit both Iran and Damavand in the future.

And it wasn't the end of this super-saturated day. Then there was a welcome dinner at the Milod Tower restaurant, just one floor below. Tired and satisfied, we got to the hotel and literally collapsed in bed, such a day will remain in memory for a long time!

A guide of the 7 Summits Club Valery Myasoedov reports from Iran:

Our whole big group of different ages, of different characters, but united by one goal, successfully reached the top of Mount Demavend yesterday! The ascent was not easy. At first, everyone was rocking, walking at a slow pace, then, as they say, they woke up, gained cruising speed.  The second half of the climb was faster, which is quite rare. Just before the summit, a strong wind blew, not at all according to the forecast. He raised sulfur dust so that many people's eyes watered, but we overcame this discomfort as well. Almost simultaneously, with a difference of 15 minutes, the whole team pulled up to the top. Congratulations and a traditional photo shoot. But our young participants Misha and Sergey, who were 14 years old at the time of the ascent, received special compliments! How they worked on the route! How they grasped comments and tips on the go!  Well, it's just incredible, at such an age, and such efficiency, and dedication!

The day turned out to be very difficult, almost a day on feet.  We agreed that we would strive to go down as low as possible on the day of the ascent, and if possible, then to Tehran. And we were able to do it! At three o'clock in the morning we checked into the cozy rooms of Espinas Palace, the best hotel in Tehran. A well-deserved finale of a difficult day and the whole program as a whole!  Today there will be an award ceremony and a farewell dinner at the Milod Tower, the best panoramic restaurant in Tehran. Guides Alexander Spirin and Valery Myasoedov.

We didn't look at the time, everyone was keen on the photo shoot, which is why we came to Borgoh-e Sev almost an hour later. We didn't regret a bit, it happens once in a lifetime, to visit Iran and capture the period of flowering poppies. In the camp, as always, the best "rooms" were occupied for us, a delicious soup for a late lunch and the national dish lyubie-polo and bahlava for dinner completed this colorful day. Tomorrow, a short acclimatization to 4600 m and preparation for the ascent.  Guides Alexander Spirin and Valery Myasoedov.

Details about the ascent of Asia's highest volcano Damavand (included in the 7 Volcanoes project) from the guide of the 7 Summits Club Valery Myasoedov.

Summit day is the most difficult one. Here, in addition to good acclimatization, motivation and strong-willed qualities play an important role. A late start at 5.30 am justified itself, a strong gusty wind would complicate the ascent in the early hours. We went out without lanterns, we took a leisurely pace, comfortable for all participants. Friday is a day off in Tehran, there were many local climbers on the mountain. When they see foreigners, they greet them, it was nice. We went smoothly and steadily, which is important.  The second half of the climb was completed at approximately the same pace as the first. And in less than 7 hours, almost simultaneously, all the participants reached the top! Strong-willed qualities also proved to be on top!

We went down the climbing path, crampons and ice axes were not needed. But this does not always happen, it was the decision of the Iranian guides. On the descent, everyone was tired, but the desire to run down as soon as possible and go down to Polur, to a comfortable 2.200 m, was even stronger. As a result, there was further descent to the mosque, moving to Polur, and we are in relatively comfortable conditions. And after taking a shower, everyone noticeably moved away and cheered up, still a set of 1400 m and a descent of 2600 m on their feet is a decent load for the day!

The fourth day of the program initially did not seem difficult. Not the earliest rise, slept off, for the first time, as they say, took a breath. Breakfast in one of the restaurants of Larijan, a leisurely transfer to Gusfand-Saro, or also this place is called a Mosque. On the way, a fantastic photo shoot of Svetlana against the background of a Demavend. A short rest, loading things on mules and getting out to Borgoh-e Sevvom. This is the last shelter on the route, from where all already go to the mountain. We gained 1200 meters at a good pace, reached the camp in less than 4.5 hours. The conditions in the camp are Spartan, but we managed to get the best "rooms". Surprisingly, in such conditions, our Iranian friends manage to cook amazingly, the highest class!

Today we have a very simple day in terms of load, we made an acclimatization exit for 400 meters along the assault trail in the direction of the summit, but a very important day for rest and morale for tomorrow. And tomorrow we have an assault on the summit of Demavend. Wish us good luck!

The first team for the Damavand of the 2022 season has arrived in Tehran! Even a night flight and an early morning arrival cannot reduce the emotional mood for the long-awaited meeting with Iran! Well, Aeroflot, as always, is on top!.. Already at 6 a.m., Tehran begins to seethe, 15 million inhabitants, almost like in Moscow... A short rest at the hotel and departure for an excursion: a visit to Golestan, literally translated as the "palace of roses", the residence of several dynasties of rulers of Iran and, of course, acquaintance with Iranian cuisine. Dizi-e Sangi - stewed meat with vegetables in a stone pot.  Everyone appreciated and admired the delicious dish with the original serving. Sharbat is also a traditional drink, with a bunch of herbs and additives, but non-alcoholic, with alcohol in Iran in any way, is prohibited...

Our organisms demanded rest, returned to the hotel, regained their senses, and in the evening went to a gala dinner at the Milod Tower. It is one of the highest towers in the world, with a rotating restaurant at an altitude of almost 300 m. The tower itself is amazing, and the panorama of evening Tehran, and the wonderful cuisine for every taste. There are a lot of local visitors, they are all so elegant and beautiful, it is clear that this is an event for them, to visit the famous landmark. And what kind of tea with saffron is there!..
