A Nepalese mountaineer, a former military Gurkha, who amazed the whole world with his epic "14 eight-thousand-meters in 7 months" and winter K2, begins to collect a collection of the highest peaks of all continents, or "Seven Summits". Therefore, he was invited to Elbrus (persuaded) to come by our 7 Summits Club. This is the second visit of Nims to Russia and we can safely call him an old friend. We hope that luck will be on his side again and all his plans will be implemented.

At the invitation of the 7 Summits Club, the famous Nepalese mountaineer Nirmal Purja (Nims) is going to visit Russia soon. He is preparing to climb the highest peak in Europe, Mount Elbrus. The trip is scheduled for the period from July 28 to August 4. Nims became famous all over the world for his unique, incredible achievement - climbing 14 eight-thousanders in 7 months. Now he plans to reach the highest peaks of all continents - the "Seven Summits" program. It should be noted that this will be the second visit of Nirmal Purju to our country. We were the first to invite him in 2019, after he completed his epic ascents on the highest peaks of the World.

 Our American friends who organize logistics for tourist and climbing groups in Antarctica (ALE company) "gave the go-ahead" - the season will be, the season can not to be! The last Antarctic summer was  cancelled, but the groups of the 7 Summits Club were formed. Most of them have moved on to the upcoming season. Daria Sivova, guide of the 7 Summits Club: Hello everyone from Dengboche! We haven't been in touch for the last three days, but we're doing great! The day before yesterday, we finally reached Everest Base Camp through the small villages of Lobuche and Goraksherp. The scale of the Base Camp impressed the participants: the altitude was 5365m, the mood was great, the weather was great!

At the Everest Base Camp, we split into two groups: those who stayed overnight at the Base Camp, and those who went down to Goraksherp to climb Kalapatar in the morning. Those who remained at the Base Camp met with a team of climbers on Mount Everest and Lhotse, they celebrated the Victory Day May 9. The evening ended with a festive dinner.

Yesterday we spent a night in Dengboche, today a trekking group descends to Namche Bazaar, and a group of climbers on Island Peak stays, waiting for the weather to climb it.

The 7 Summits Club and the expedition headquarters of Fyodor Konyukhov came to an agreement to conduct an expedition on Ararat in August 2021. Together with the greatest Russian traveler of our time, we have already visited the summits of Mount Everest, Kilimanjaro and Elbrus, and this year we climbed Orizaba. Ararat will be a logical continuation of our cooperation. We know that the Bible mountain has long been a cherished dream of Fyodor. The experience of the past year allows us to hope that we will meet all the commitments we have made. In 2020, several groups of the 7 Summits Club successfully climbed the top of Mount Ararat.  In 2020, the 7 Summits Club entered at full speed, in the usual rhythm and in full confidence in our strength. During the New Year period of 19/20, our groups traveled all over the world, mainly in the Southern Hemisphere. All our programs were successful, members of ascents and hikes returned home happy.

 Then the madness came, and quarantine crept up on us. But we did not lose heart and conducted online training sessions that helped us prepare in the summer!

 We managed to get a full season on Elbrus, in the summer every week groups of the 7 Summits Club climbed the summit. And this summer there lasted until mid-October! We have rediscovered Ararat! Tanzania with Kilimanjaro in general was the only country completely safe from COVID, and we returned to Africa when returned flights! Now South America has opened a little, Ecuador, Mexico and Chile are hosting guests. And our groups already climbed local summits…

 Celebrating the New Year, we wish all mankind to defeat the evil infection! And thanks for the lessons of the outgoing year! We began to more appreciate freedom, we realized that we could not live without traveling and climbing!

Message from Fyodor Konyukhov's group from Elbrus. Summit! Today at 7:30 am, the team of Fyodor Konyukhov with the guides of the 7 Summits Club successfully climbed the Western peak of Elbrus! The weather favored the team throughout the expedition and this morning, too, did not disappoint. It was not easy, but all the participants of the assault met the summit with tears of joy. After the descent, all the members of the group do not stop talking about where they want to go next. "With such a team, at least to all Seven Summits!". Fyodor Filippovich Konyukhov and his family brought together strong and interesting people who do not want to stop there. We look forward to the next expedition of Fyodor Konyukhov!

Fyodor Konyukhov's team went up to the National Park Refuge. Then all members climbed for the acclimatization rotation to Priyut 11, where guides conducted snow and ice classes.

Fyodor Konyukhov's group started with an acclimatization rotation to the Cheget mountain. To begin with, the members of the group went up to the AI cafe, rested there and went further to the Shoulder of the Cheget mountain. Everyone went down to the hotel in high spirits.

The 7 Summits Club was one of the initiators of the establishment of the institute of certificates of Instructor-guide of the Russian mountaineering Federation (RMF). This is a completely new status for employees of commercial adventure tourism and mountaineering. And it is not by accident that the first certificates were handed over in our Club. In Tanzania, all travel restrictions for foreign tourists have been lifted. There are only some additional requirements for compliance with hygiene standards. And temperature control at the airport. It remains only to wait for us to be released from our country. So far, the Russian government has allowed travel abroad only for work, study, treatment or care of sick relatives. But the overall pace of release is encouraging and we are confident that we will soon resume work on all our main tourist destinations!

The main star of mountaineering in the Himalayas of 2019, Nirmal Purja (aka Nims) intends to devote himself to working as a guide in the near future. Last year, the Nepalese became close friends with the 7 Summits Club and we agreed with him on mutually beneficial cooperation. We present to You the first joint project:

The program of ascent on the highest peak of Antarctica, Mount Vinson, and a ski trip to the South Pole. 

Nims is a cheerful and sociable guy, with a lot of life experience, physically and mentally surprisingly resistant person. Traveling with him will be something special that you can remember and tell all your life.

Nirmal "Nims" Purja (born 25.07.1983, Myagdi, Nepal) is a Nepalese mountaineer, former Gurkha, soldier of the Special boat service (SBS), an elite special forces unit of the Royal Navy of the United Kingdom. It climbed all fourteen eight-thousandths in a record time of 6 months 6 days in 2019. Awarded the British order of knighthood - The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

“7 Summits of Russia” is a unique project of the 7 Summits Club, which includes our highest mountains and volcanoes. We will not stay at home while the borders are closed, we came up with an alternative "import-substituting" project.
