The 7 Summits Club is finalizing the formation of a team for 2021 Everest Climb. Our President Alexander Abramov  will lead an expedition to the world's highest mountain for the 19th time. Most likely, this is a world record! The main part of the group of climbers has long been known, since last year. We can say that the team will be quite large and diverse. Now there is still an opportunity to join it, as they say, "jump into the last car". Do not delay, as the deadline for issuing permits is running out! It should be noted that this year's expedition will have several distinctive features that make it more attractive for participants.

Features of the 2021 Everest expedition

**  We will climb from the South, from Nepal. Tibet will not be opened this spring. For those who went from the North, you can repeat, on a different, very different route. This is only the second expedition of the 7 Summits Club along the Southern Route, along the path of the first climbers, the legendary Hillary and Tenzing. And we can't say right now when we'll be back on this side of Mount Everest in the future.

**  Due to the pandemic, it is expected that there will be much fewer people than usual on the Everest trail and on the ascent itself. This is a rare chance on this route to get more natural emotions, not spoiled by the crowds of tourists and queues at difficult places during the ascent.

**  After a one-year break, the entire tourist infrastructure of Nepal will resume its work. All local residents, service workers, hoteliers, high-altitude porters and guides, all will be happy to see us in a special way. They will be more aware of the value of the guests and try even harder.

**  In the base camp and on a significant part of the route, the Everest expedition will work together with the 7 Summits Club expedition on Lhotse. There will be a lot of bright personalities in it, both among the guides and among the members. It will be a large and, we are sure, friendly team together.

Lyudmila Korobeshko:  Hello everyone from Colombia! This is Lyudmila Korobeshko. Our large and friendly group called “Colombia Pictures” gathered today in the capital of Colombia - Bogota. And immediately we had to pass the first quest – how to get to the hotel, which is located in the historical center. It turns out that Colombians are big fans of sports and outdoor activities. On Sundays, the city center is closed, and hundreds of cyclists and marathon runners rush through the streets. So we had to walk the last 500 m to the hotel. We even liked it. So, until the evening, we continued to walk around the city, even climbed Mount Montserrat. We visited almost all the graffiti, tried the chicha and ajiaco. We also took a cable car ride over the nighttime favelas of the southern outskirts of Bogota.

Thanks to our wonderful guide to Bogota - Tatiana Nechaeva!

Tomorrow we fly to the coffee plantations!

Sergey Larin,  the guide of the group from Tanzania: The “Siafu” team news. Today, February 15, we moved from Camp Shira to Camp Baranko 4000m, via Lava Tower (4600m). There was lunch on Lava Taur. And after lunch, it rained heavily again. We went down to the Baranko camp along the rain rivers.  The descent reminded me of Papua New Guinea at times. I couldn’t remember such rains on Kilimanjaro.  I've never been here during the rainy season, though. Kilimanjaro is covered in snow. If this goes on, you'll see that the glaciers will recover.

Hello! This is Chile, Atacama, Laguna Verde, Artem Rostovtsev with yesterday's news. The six of us climbed on the top of the Ojos del Salado volcano. It was cold, windy, snowy, and difficult. But we did it! Congratulations to all of us, and please be happy for us! The most important thing that I forgot to report in the previous news: our team is called "High-altitude Gourmets". We try to restrain ourselves in terms of food. But that's not possible. As our chef Lena cooks, it is impossible to resist. Once again, I report: the expedition is completed successfully, we have reached the top. Today we are getting out into civilization.

The 7 Summits Club and the expedition headquarters of Fyodor Konyukhov came to an agreement to conduct an expedition on Ararat in August 2021. Together with the greatest Russian traveler of our time, we have already visited the summits of Mount Everest, Kilimanjaro and Elbrus, and this year we climbed Orizaba. Ararat will be a logical continuation of our cooperation. We know that the Bible mountain has long been a cherished dream of Fyodor. The experience of the past year allows us to hope that we will meet all the commitments we have made. In 2020, several groups of the 7 Summits Club successfully climbed the top of Mount Ararat. At the same time, thanks to the efforts of our President, Alex Abramov, we have provided the best service in the area.

The most popular super-guide of the 7 Summits Club, Vladimir Kotlyar, spends the second winter on the far borders of our homeland. After Kolyma, he reached Kamchatka, an incredibly beautiful, snowy, volcanic and oceanic territory. In itself, it is a constant adventure. But it is also a preparation for the spring season in the Himalayas ("I’m skituring almost every day"). Vladimir is the main guide of the 7 Summits Club in the upcoming expedition on Lhotse. Which, by the way, you can also join. As well as trekking to the Everest Base Camp, from which the journey under Everest and Lhotse begins. In the meantime, hello to everyone from Kamchatka!

A super team of Nepalese mountaineers with our friend Nimsdai, as the main character, is already celebrating the victory on the winter K2 in their homeland. It's time to mention our other friends and partners who have put a lot of effort into this mountaineering success. These are our Pakistani partners, with whom we have made friends this year. This is a firm that provided logistics for a group of triumphant climbers and, judging by the result, brilliantly coped with all the difficult tasks. These same people will help the 7 Summits Club's summer expedition to Karakorum, one of the goals of which will be to climb the legendary K2.

We are currently in a camp on Laguna Verde. The expedition on Ojos del Salado continues. Yesterday we went up to 6400. This was the final acclimatization  rotation exit. Then we spent the night near the Tejas shelter at 5900. Not all the climbers were able to sleep, but that was our plan. It is good to acclimatize at this altitude.

We recently went down to Laguna Verde, just a couple of hours ago . Now we have a day of rest ahead of us before climbing directly on the top of Ojos del Salado.
