WE ARE AT THE SOUTH POLE, FRIENDS! Yes, it was worth it, it's unforgettable! Unique emotions! And, of course, thank you all very much for following us, for worrying about us and wishing us good luck! Tomorrow, if the weather remains as fine as it was today, we will fly to the Union Glacier. Well, friends, once again, thank you all very much! I hug everyone tightly!

The group of the 7 Summits Club "Black caps" has completed the program, it was not possible to reach the top of Ojos del Salado due to extreme snow conditions

Nikita Slotin, guide of the 7 Summits Club from Chile: Greetings to all from Chile from the Black Caps group!  Today we have made the second attempt to climb the highest volcano in the world! But a good forecast wasn't enough and everything didn't go according to plan... We left at 22:00 for the shelter Tejos, spent as much as 4 hours because of the deep snow. Only 2:00 a.m. we went out to storm! Everything went well at first. But we had to interrupt the ascent at an altitude of 6400 meters. At this point, another group caused an avalanche. We realized that the way ahead was dangerous. There are no casualties, the avalanche passed us by! After that, we decided to go down, the mountain did not let us in again, but it taught us a lot! Now we are going to the ocean shore to rest from the snow. The participants are happy to finally return to civilization.

Two groups of the 7 Summits Club met in Punta Arenas. One flew from Antarctica, the other is flying to Antarctica

Ludmila Korobeshko, a guide of the 7 Summits Club, director of the company, from Punta Arenas (Chile):

Greetings to all from the edge of the world, from Punta Arenas! Our group on Vinson (the 4th in a row in the Antarctic season) almost got together. Two more participants are due to arrive tonight. Yesterday we crossed paths with a group of Vinson-2 (PingVinson), who, due to the delay, flew out of Antarctica only the day before yesterday. We had a friendly dinner at the guide house, which we rented for the season in Punta Arenas. Lena Abramova has prepared a magical dinner for us! This was more than welcome, as all restaurants were closed due to the holidays. We listened to the stories of the members “PingVinson” about the horrors that befell them - low temperatures up to -50, winds and bad weather ... Decided to dress warmly and take more warming drinks.

Today we have already passed the first Antarctic antigen tests - everyone is healthy and cheerful. Tomorrow there will be a check of equipment, additional purchase of the necessary. The day after tomorrow we check in our luggage and hope to fly to Antarctica on December 29.

Vladimir Kotlyar, guide of the 7 Summits Club, from Antarctica: Aloha to the Seven Summits Club! The group going to the South Pole, guide Vladimir Kotlyar, participants Valery and Yuri Shamrilo from Belarus are in touch. We long time waited for the weather and  at last flew to the starting point. Unfortunately, due to the fact that we spent many days on the Union Glacier, we had only four days left, at most, anâ we shortened the program. We are not going to "the last degree", but "the last half degree". Which is also, in principle, not bad, not bad – we have already walked three kilometers and we will probably walk three or five kilometers more today. That's enough for the first day. We will set up a camp, rest, and tomorrow we will go as much as possible! We are looking for the South Pole…

The group with guides Nirmal Purja and Tashi Lakpa went on the classic route "The Last degree".

The group of the 7 Summits Club "Black caps" made an attempt to climb Ojos del Salado, but retreated due to deep snow

Nikita Slotin, guide of the 7 Summits Club from Chile: Hello to everyone from the Black caps group! We are in the driest place on Earth, the Atacama Desert! Although, judging by the snow on the mountain, you can't say that! A few days ago we settled in the Laguna Verde camp, conducted acclimatization rotation and went out to storm tonight! None of us expected knee-deep snow! For 12 hours we walked through deep and crumbly snow and at an altitude of 6400, the harsh conditions forced us to turn back... There is more and more snow on the mountain every day! Today we are resting, and continue to enjoy the views of the desert.

Guides Artem Rostovtsev, Vladimir Kotlyar and Nirmal Purja. We're finally back on Union Glacier. We sat in the base camp for four days, waiting for the weather. And today we were lucky. I can't say that the flight was absolutely uneventful, we were a little shocked.  But our pilots are real professionals and that's why everything ended fine. Despite the severe turbulence. Artem and Mikhail stayed at the Vinson Massif base camp to continue climbing program. Other participants came to the Union Glacier base. And now the main part of the group is waiting for a flight to Punta Arenas. Well, the part of the group that goes with me to the South Pole, we are waiting for departure to the starting point.  So wish us good luck! I hope we will complete one more of our tasks and reach the South Pole. Everyone, adios!

In the morning, Union Glacier gave permission and ALE's Boeing successfully flew to Antarctica. On board a comfortable plane, there was a group of "Brothers", consisting of 5 people, which went to the Ice Continent. At the Union Glacier base, they should join with four more participants of the Vinson Massif ascent and together go skiing to the South Pole under the "Last Degree" program. Also, two participants of the expedition to the highest volcano of Antarctica, Mount Sidley, representing the 7 Summits Club, arrived in Antarctica on this flight.

In general, in the 2021/22 season, the 7 Summits Club has 4 large groups on the Vinson Massif and one group on the ski South Pole. There are 42 participants and 7 guides in total. The season is hard, after last year's break, but interesting!

Artem Rostovtsev, a guide of the 7 Summits Club, from Antarctica: Hello, Seven Summits! Antarctica is broadcasting. We are at the slopes of the Vinson Massif, or rather, an assault  camp. Today we have climbed up the High camp. We are trying to jump into the last weather window for the near future.  They promise not a strong wind tomorrow. Therefore, early tomorrow morning we plan to go to the summit. Today everyone ascended much faster than last time. With a better state of health, it feels like they have acclimatized. And after that we had time to rest. So if the weather doesn't surprise us, we should be able to make the summit tomorrow. Nims with his team decided to do it a little differently. His plan is to leave the Low Camp right away at night.  And go to the summit. It was not possible to convince him join us. In general, we have two different options tomorrow we will go to the top. Greetings again from the Antarctic guides Tema, Volodya and Nims!

An expedition to the Vinson Massif under the guidance of Artem Rostovtsev, Vladimir Kotlyar and Nirmal Purja is in touch. We caught the right weather today. This is the first day of perfect weather for us since the beginning of the expedition – clear sky, sunshine, almost no wind. After a good rest in the base camp, after all the twists and turns in the High Camp and Low Camp, we went up back to the Low Camp. Tomorrow we are promised an even greater improvement in the weather and we will move to High Camp. Well, the day after tomorrow we hope the summit will be with us. Wish us good luck! Now we will get enough sleep. Tomorrow we want to go out not too late, we will try to get to the High Camp early so that we can also have more rest. And the very next day to climb to the top. Your Antarctic guides Artem, Vova and Nims.
