Hello! Alexander Abramov reports on the end of the expedition to Mount Elbrus. Now I want to summarize. Our team has climbed to the top of the Western and Eastern peaks, two summits. And also we made traverse from south to north. Now all members of the team departed home. And we finally finished celebrate. I want to say that the North side of Elbrus is beautiful, but very hard physically. So what do we traverse from south to north - is absolutely correct. If you go traverse from north to south - it's quite an ordeal - not for everyone. Our team is completely withstood the test, which has fallen on our shoulders. And most importantly, I want to note that most of the members were not previously in the mountains. Such feats are performed, maybe once in a lifetime ... Goodbye! Alexander Abramov from Pyatigorsk. The expedition is over, bye!

Hi, Seven Summits! After climbing the Jebel Toubkal, every day we spend 4-5 hours on a bus. But our program is very interesting. The day before yesterday we visited the studio, starring famous, interesting movies .... I only remember "Gladiator." Then yesterday we drove to the desert. Camels got us into deep sand dunes, we greeted the dawn on the highest dune in North Africa. This morning we drove again on camels, and returned to civilization. Now we are in a hotel next to the castle ... Ait Ben Haddou, which also were shooting films such as "Gladiator", "Asterix and Obelix" and other ... And tomorrow we, finally, we move to the ocean coast and will rest ... All greetings from the whole group! Hello! It is Alexander Abramov. Today at 7:30 we went up to the top of the Western Elbrus, and then went down to the saddle. Then we climbed up to the top of the Eastern Peak. Now I'm calling right from the top of the Eastern Elbrus! Now the team under the leadership of Alexander Abramov is making photos and begins the descent down to the north. Not to the south, but to the north. Thus, we want to make "cross of Elbrus." Also with us, there is Sergei Avtomonov, as a second guide. The rest of the team also reached the top of the Western Peak, except our Dutch friend. That happened. So, hurray!

Hello! Alex Abramov reports from the refuge LeapRus, which is located on Mount Elbrus. Today, our team had an acclimatization  outing  and climb up to Pastukhov Rocks. We were in a fairly good pace, in 5 hours we spent on the ascent and descent. I believe that the team is in a good training  form. Now there is a thunderstorm. The weather is not normal. Weather: sometimes it was absolutely clear and sometimes  is absolutely in the fog. Today, by the way, because of the weather the lifts were not working. And  Luda Korobeshko and Maxim Abramov  came to visit us on foot, from bottom. They went all the way from  Azau.

Tomorrow we will have a day of rest, which we would like to spend, a little below the shelter. Maybe we could even eat local cuisine.

About our plans: we will look for the weather. That all,  goodbye!

Hello! There is Alexander Abramov. We are now at the refuge LeapRus. This is the best refuge on all Elbrus, even here there is hot water in the taps. Out of windows it is snowing, and the situation is not good. Snow fell almost to his knees. But we hope that in two days, when we meet on climbing, the weather will be good. And while we are pleased to play guitars, we rest and prepare for the ascent. Today we were at a training on the snow, it was very interesting. Tomorrow, we climb to the Pastukhov Rocks, according to the plan. If the weather allows. Bye!

After that we made acclimatization to the top of the Pastukhov Rocks. The weather was like specifically for training. It showed everyone how to dress, how to cover his face, why do we need the ski mask. In general, I'm satisfied with a group, all members went very smoothly. Tomorrow we have a day of rest, and I plan another small workout. Bye!

Good evening, good evening! Here Vladimir Kotlyar .... We are now in a pine grove, resting, breathing the air. Yesterday we fought, fought for life and death with the mountain, with the weather. The weather was tough ... But most of all we fought with themself .. We all have our own feelings and memories ... And we won! Five men under my leadership was at the top of the Eastern Peak of Elbrus. Some people were slightly below the top, literally 50 meters was not made.
The weather brought changes ...
Therefore, we are satisfied with everything, a little bit frozen went down. In principle, each with its own height. Now we already know what to prepare next time, have no illusion on account of the availability of Elbrus, etc., etc. ....

So today we have a rest, relax and celebrate ..

Now, the whole group has already come down in Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) in our favorite hotel Rooms. And tomorrow – we are moving in the Elbrus region, and continuation of the banquet - climbing Elbrus. Hello! There is Alex Abramov, from the meteostation, on Mount Kazbek. Today we have a very significant day. On the third day after the ascent to the meteostation, we finally decided to climb to the top. The fact that the weather was terrible, the wind blowing 40-60 kmph ....

We really enjoyed today's climb, because partly was made "on four bones." About 60-70 people came to the assault, but only our team and maybe 3 people have climbed to the top. The rest people turned of the road . But it proves once again that they are reasonable people and we are foolish. Our team is very happy, everyone is happy, that we were able in very bad conditions make such a cool climbing. Best regards from the team! Tomorrow we will go down and I could send pictures. I'll send a bunch of cool photos. But it will be all tomorrow. Bye!

Family Gusakovsky (Vladimir, Tatiana and Margarita) - active participants of the 7 Summits Club programs, avid travelers, and well-known experts on Hibin and psychologists. Their trip to the "Far South" began on August 3. In the first half of the trip, they met all the best in a mountain mainland of Australia at Blue Mountain and Mount Uluru. August, 8th the group moved (flown by plane) in New Zealand. Now they are on the South Island of New Zealand, the journey will end on August 20.

Vladimir Gusakovsky: Today we moved to the South Island of New Zealand. A huge number of impressions, both natural and cultural plan, is leaving a feeling of unreality. It is the skyscrapers of Sydney, and the Australian desert orange mountains and unreal beauty of New Zealand landscapes and mystical Hobbiton, and bloodthirsty Maori dances. The route is not finished yet, and already we have experiences for few years ...

Therefore, with the first group, we have replaced Mont Blanc on the "Mont Blanc sky race." With success. Everybody liked the thought that the mountain will wait. In the second group plans shifted to the Gran Paradiso. Yesterday we were at the Gran Paradiso. The program ended, everyone was happy. The main thing - alive. But Mont Blanc wait until next year! In early August, a large group of travelers from our club went to investigate the Kuril Islands under the leadership of a guide of the 7 Summits Club, an expert in the region - Olga Rumyantseva.

Olga Rumyantseva: We walked almost the entire Kurile chain. We landed on the island Paramushiro, Onekotan, Matua, Simushir, Ushishir, Urup and Iturup. We have to visit only Shikotan and Kunashir.
During this time we climbed the volcanoes on Krenitsina on Onekotane, Zavaritskii on Simushir, inspected the remains of the Japanese military facilities on Matua, bathed in the hot springs at Ushishir, Urup and Iturup. We looked at an abandoned submarine base on Simushir, observed whales, killer whales, sea lion rookeries, sea lions. And had a lot of fishing.
