August 28th at 5:30 we climbed to the top of Mount Elbrus with artificial oxygen. In preparation for the expedition Everest 2018, the team of the 7 Summits Club held a new "Oxygen Experiment". Without pre-acclimatization, two climbers with artificial oxygen and two guides climbed for 4 hours from Pastukhov Rocks to the top.
I believe that the use of artificial oxygen can make the mountain more accessible to the common climbers. In particular, this tool can be used for quick ascents (programs Blitz), when climbers simply no time for gradual acclimatization...
