The Guide of the 7 Summits Club Valery Myasoedov reports from Iran:

Greetings from Iran! The Children of Arbat group continued the acclimatization program on the third day, because altitude drop and rest are also part of acclimatization, aren't it? In the morning we left the cozy Tochal Hotel and took a cable car down from 3500 m to 1700 m to hot Tehran. Then we headed towards Damavand and on the way stopped for lunch at the Adam and Eve restaurant, which has become everyone's favorite. About what delicious kebabs and kebabs there are, it's already time to write a laudatory ode to one of the local poets. Details in the video. Then there was obtaining permits at the House of the Iranian Mountaineering Federation in Polur, a traditional photo against the background of the Damavand map and a brief introduction to the climbing routes, of which there are as many as 16. The most popular is the route from the south, which we always go. Our day trip to Larijan ended, there was time to plunge into the hot springs, and lie in the hotel for a couple of hours, and in the evening for dinner again kebabs of 5 types. The rested and strengthened, "Children of Arbat" are eager to fight, and tomorrow they will have the opportunity to prove themselves - we climb to the camp at 4200 m.

A group with an unexpected name "Dog’s Heart ", began its expedition to Mount Kazbek. Late yesterday evening, with a little adventure, we gathered in Gudauri at the Marco Polo Hotel. And today we have already moved from the town of Kazbegi to the refuge at an altitude of 3000m.  Tomorrow we will step on the ice and climb up to the Meteostation Refuge. And here's the thing, it turns out we get to a important date – the 100th anniversary of the first Soviet expedition on Kazbek.

The group of the 7 Summits Club "Children of Arbat" made an acclimatization ascent on the summit of Tochal

Guide of the 7 Summits Club Valery Myasoedov reports from Iran:

Greetings from Iran! On the second day, the "Children of Arbat" began the acclimatization part of the program. Without fuss and haste, "yavosh-yavosh", as they say here, we went up by cable car to the alpine hotel "Tochal" at an altitude of 3500 m. They passed a mandatory medical examination and settled in. We had lunch with delicious chicken kebab, let's say, as an introduction to the basics of Iranian cuisine, where a wide variety of kebabs prevail. After lunch, we rested, went for a walk to the summit of Tochal. Again, slowly, at a calm pace, we went to the top, spent half an hour there, and slightly tired, but satisfied, returned to the hotel. I think that a hot shower and a soft bed at 3500 m will make our acclimatization even more comfortable. Tomorrow we will move to Larijan, a village with hot springs and authentic kebab.

There is another very famous place in the vicinity of Cusco in Peru: the Rainbow Mountains. They are named so, of course, precisely because all the mountains there are painted with minerals in all the colors of the rainbow. And what is important for us, the height of the observation deck exceeds 5000m. We admire the views and continue acclimatization.

This is the end of the cultural program and the next day we start moving north. First to the capital, to the city of Lima. Let's go down to the ocean level and relax on the beach.

The Omatikayi group made an attempt to climb to the top of Khan Tengri on August 22. As the weather worsened (snowfall and strong wind), the only right decision was made to turn around and go down to the assault Camp -3.

If we had stayed on the slopes for another couple of hours, we would have been hit by a squall wind that tore us off our feet. After the descent, the wind continued all night. Tents were torn. There was enlightenment in the morning, but the strong wind continued.

On August 23, there was a long and dangerous descent down through the so-called "bottleneck". The clouds did not allow us to see those terrible snow eaves that hung over us. A couple of hours and we exhaled, went down to a flat glacier. And then we walked 10 km along the glacier to the base camp on South. And there, finally, delicious food, a warm bed and a view of the beautiful Peak Pobeda (Victory)!!!

On August 24, departure to Karkara and transfer to Bishkek.

Guides: Viktor Volodin and Nikita Slotin.

Continuation of the Peruvian adventures. Our small friendly company today continued to explore the legacy of the Inca Empire.  At the same time, we finally managed to disperse the blood. We ran down to the mountain of Huayna Picchu 2667m. The ascent took us only half an hour, although the trail goes up the steps steeply. Perhaps we could have done it faster, but we had to carefully overtake other tourists and, of course, we took a lot of photos. From the top there is a gorgeous view of the entire Machu Picchu complex. Then the day passed quietly in the village, where we had to wait for the evening train. And already on the way back, right in the carriage, they arranged a small performance with dancing and a fashion show, alpaca wool products. Tomorrow, according to the plan, a new climb, we are going to admire the rainbow mountains.

Salam from Iran!   The group "16 happy Persian Lions" of the 7 Summits Club is finishing its program of climbing the Damavand volcano! Time flew by like a flash, but we managed a lot! We got acquainted with the sights of Tehran and the national cuisine.

We visited the Tochal ski resort and climbed two acclimatization local peaks of 3860m and 3964m.  We visited the Iranian mountaineering federation and rested in the hot springs of Larijan at the foot of Damavand. We passed high-altitude acclimatization and met fellow countrymen of servicemen who participated in international army climbing competitions on Damavand (similar ones are held in Russia, on Elbrus). We enjoyed delicious food from our chefs and tasted perhaps the highest mountain buffet.

We climbed the highest volcano in Asia, the peak of Damavand and tasted sweet melon there, which was brought by our doctor Sergey (his hundreds of stories throughout the program kept the whole team in a great mood). By the way, he spent examination right at the top by measuring pressure, oxygenation and pulse on Prof.equipment!

After going down to Tehran, they held an award ceremony.  Everyone is happy!

And yet, we have a tour of the ancient capitals of Persia ahead of us! So, the journey continues!

Guides Valery Myasoyedov and Evgeny Fedyunin.

A new unusual program for Alexey Sivkov, our friend and a very versatile climber, has started today in the capital of the Inca Empire, the city of Cuzco. The city is located at an altitude of 3400m, so we immediately began to acclimatize, and we really need a good habit of altitude. Ambitious plans! We are going to have a serious ascent of the huge granite wall in the Cordillera Blanca, Mount Sphinx (La Esfinge). But this is later, but for now we absorb the history of the ancient country, look at the sights and eat up for the future. Today we spent several hours exploring the ancient buildings of the Incas, climbed wherever you can climb and tasted delicious ceviche and alpaca steaks.

Salam from Iran!  Today, the group of "16 happy Persian Lions" of the 7 Summits Club started in the direction of the Demavend base camp called Bargoh-E-Sevom (4150 m).

At first, there was a drop of up to 3000 m on local jeeps. In a camp with a mosque of 3020m, luggage was loaded onto mules and trekking started. “Pole pole” tactics were correct again, we walked without choking and without losing our breath. Now there are more people on the hut, there is a large tent camp around.

Our chefs never cease to amaze! Baked stuffed chicken is, of course, SOMETHING for 4150! Now we are resting and preparing for tomorrow's acclimatization day.

Greetings from Iran! Today, the group of "16 happy Persian Lions" of the 7 Summits Club climbed our second acclimatization peak - Tochal (3964m) in the morning. The majestic Damavand and the stunning beauty of the Elburs mountain range opened up to us. After the photo shoot, we went down to the cable car and along it to the valley of Tehran.

Now we are moving closer to our main goal - the volcano Damavand.  Not far from the shelter of the Iranian Mountaineering Federation in Polur, where they usually spend the night before the start of the Damavand, we stopped for lunch at the best restaurant serving the juiciest lamb on a bone.

An info briefing and a traditional group photo with the owner of the shelter took place in Polur.

An hour later we found ourselves in hotels with hot springs.  At dinner, in a cool kebab shop, we congratulated our guide Valera on his birthday!

Alexander Abramov: An idiot's dream has come true. I climbed Elbrus, straight from the hotel in Cheget, all on foot. Without taxis, without cable cars, without snow trucks, without customers and even without a guide! The drop is almost 4000m, as at 8000 meters in the Himalayas. The ascent took 23 hours. Excellent training for the next ascents of the eightthousanders. The Summits of which, by the way, I have already visited 16 times (12 Everest, 3 Cho-Oyu and 1 Manaslu)

This is my 100th ascent of Elbrus. I dedicate it to the 100th anniversary of Soviet mountaineering, which is celebrated this year.

All Salam from Tehran!  A new program of climbing the Damavand 5671m has started. Today was an oversaturated day full of impressions. A short rest after an international flight and a full immersion in the flavor of the hot eastern city.

National cuisine in the oldest restaurant of the capital, in the Grand Bazaar area, in the historic building of the first bank in Iran.  Golestan Palace with diamond and mirror halls, royal gifts for the Shah - very impressive for its luxury and immodesty!

Our Maryam, professor of the University Department of the Russian language and an expert in local history, as always at the height of his professionalism! The welcome dinner, without breaking the tradition, was held in the panoramic restaurant of the Milad TV tower, overlooking the evening lights of Tehran, at an altitude of 290m. Tomorrow we start the active part of the program!
