Svetlana Kotlyar reports from the Kola Peninsula:

Greetings to all from Kirovsk! The program of the mountaineering school in Khibiny started today under the leadership of two "Golden Ice axes of Russia": Alexey Lonchinsky and Ratmir Mukhametzyanov! Today all our big friendly team from Moscow and St. Petersburg gathered in Kirovsk: 13 participants, 2 instructors and 2 organizers of the program from the 7 Summits Club.

We stayed in comfortable hotels and held a briefing after dinner, where we got acquainted with the participants. Everyone told about themselves, their sports hobbies, mountain experience and expectations from the program. Alexey and Ratmir gave an introductory lecture about equipment and its proper use in the mountains.

Tomorrow morning we will conduct a practical lesson on nodes. After that, we go to the rocks to work on the natural terrain.

The final news from the group of LYAMpaki from Tanzania. On the first day of spring we went down from Kilimanjaro to our hotel under the mountain - Aishi Machame. Super-cats Yana and Maria received well-deserved diplomas (2 pieces - one from National Kilimanjaro Park and the second from the 7 Summits Club) and 2 medals each (a small one according to the 7 Summits project for every day and a souvenir large one to wear purely on holidays).

We stopped at a wonderful souvenir shop near the Mweka gate. And in the evening we celebrated a successful ascent in the Jackfruit restaurant. It is kept by Russian guys, there are gorgeous pizzas, burgers, seafood, steaks, wines from South Africa - I highly recommend visiting. And after returning to the hotel, they continued to celebrate the ascent with Olya Rumyantseva and a bottle of champagne. Olya is already an aborigine here - she brought two groups to Kili, is waiting for the third and managed to participate in the famous Kilimanjaro marathon during the break.

We warmly said goodbye to our support group of local guides and porters, with whom we managed to make great friends during the expedition.

Super-cats and super-guide of the 7 Summits Club Lyudmila Korobeshko were in touch.

February 28 is the last day of winter (summer on Kilimanjaro). Jumbo from Africa, from the top of Kilimanjaro! Today, our group of Super-cats left the Kosovo camp at 4800 under a magical starry sky with Orion, the Big Dipper and the Southern Cross. Before dawn we arrived at the edge of the crater - Stella Point. And at dawn around 6.30 we stood on the highest point of Africa (on our heads and on the twine). We practically tumbled down, packed up, and arrived at the Millennium by lunchtime. We are resting. Tired but happy Super Cats and the super guide of the 7 Summits Club Lyudmila Korobeshko were in touch.

Jumbo from Tanzania, from the slopes of Kilimanjaro from the LAMpaka group! Today we moved from the Karanga camp at 4100 to the Kosovo assault camp at 4800. According to the stories of local comrades, Kosovo means "dangerous place" in Swahili. In fact, we really liked the place for the camp. We're the only team standing here. The rest of the groups stopped at the Barafu camp at 4600.  After lunch we walked up to 5000 for better acclimatization. We are resting now. Around midnight, we plan to launch an assault. So hold your fists for us!

Lyudmila Korobeshko, the super-guide of the 7 Summits Club, reports from Tanzania:

Jambo from snowy and rain-drenched Tanzania! The morning did not portend anything. We dried up after yesterday's snowfall and slowly went out to storm the Barranco wall. The assault was successful. After lunch we came to the Karanga camp. As soon as we got into the tents, it began to rain, which turned into a downpour, then into hail, then into some kind of violent frenzy. Powerful streams flooded our tents from above and from the slopes, threatening to wash away the entire camp. Miraculously, the tents did not float away. But all things and we got wet ourselves.

When we finally leaned out of the tents after two hours of a snow shower, we hardly recognized the terrain - in mud flows interspersed with snow ... We are thinking how to dry. And how to go up tomorrow without crampons ... the whole mountain is covered in snow.... But we're super-cats. We'll manage!

February 25. Jambo from Tanzania from the Lyampaka group! Today we moved from Camp Shira Cave 3800 to Camp Barranco 3900 via the dizzying Lava Tower at 4600. From such a height, the heads were slightly dizzy. Having had a delicious dinner under the Lava Tower, we began to descend, and then we were caught by the strongest bad weather - a thunderstorm with a powerful snowfall. It was the first time I saw blue flowers under the snow. Barranco's camp was also covered in snow. Even our local guides said that they see this for the first time in this camp.

However, around 5 pm the sun came out, and we even managed to dry off a little and warm up for half an hour. The most powerful waterfalls poured down from the Barranco wall. Tomorrow we have to overcome this wall. We want to warm up and sleep well today. And tomorrow we will climb the wall.

Warm greetings to all from the snow-covered slopes of Kilimanjaro!

Greetings to all from Tanzania from the Sharomyzhniki group! The mountain part of our journey has ended today. In the morning we woke up in tents with a view of Kilimanjaro, to the summit of which we climbed the day before (we can't even believe it, it's so far away). And in the afternoon, after walking 13 kilometers through the jungle (where there are many, many wild monkeys) we went down to the exit of the national park and then moved to the hotel.

In the morning, before we left our camp, a farewell ceremony with the team took place. Many songs were sung and many kind words were said.

Jambo from Tanzania! Today is our second day on the mountain. After spending the night under the huge southern stars, in the morning we left the Machame camp, and a steep and slippery climb immediately began. We heroically overcame it and even had a cup of tea at the very top. After another hour of traveling through the magical forest with moss, we arrived at the Shira Cave camp at 3800. Before dinner, we walked higher for better acclimatization, got to know our local team by name and drink coffee with rum while waiting for dinner.

Tomorrow we will have a difficult trek to the Barranco Wall through the Lava Tower.

Jumbo from Tanzania! All morning we were choosing a name for our group. As a result, they came up with such a "Lampaka". LAM - Luda, Yana, Masha. Paka means "cat" in Swahili. In general, we are cat girls.

In the morning we had a hearty breakfast, packed up and went to meet the Kilimanjarian adventures. We went up from Machame Gate and an hour later these same adventures began - the heavens opened and it began to rain, and then a downpour with large hail began. I haven't seen anything like this on Kilimanjaro yet. Even though we put on our capes, we were still soaked through. However, an hour later the weather took pity. And even a timid sun peeked through. We arrived at the Machame camp at 2900 without rain. We changed our clothes and enjoyed a wonderful dinner with avocado and chicken from our chef Walter. In the evening, we passed a medical check - everyone has 10 out of 10. Tomorrow we will go further and higher!

Hakuna Matata! Lala Salama to all!

Hello everyone from Tanzania! Today our group woke up in the Baranko camp with a view of the wall of the same name and the summit of Kilimanjaro beautifully decorated with snow and ice. After breakfast we started climbing the wall. This is a very impressive event. We have to climb the rocks, there are caravans of porters with huge bales on their heads. Traffic jams are forming, everyone is trying to get through as soon as possible. From pleasant - very beautiful views. It took us two hours to overcome the wall. After a small tea party, we continued our way to the camp among beautiful fogs and rocks. By lunchtime we arrived at the Karanga camp. We wanted to take a walk after lunch, but the rain again disrupted all our plans. So that we decided to rest and acclimatize not very actively.

The guide of the 7 Summits Club Svetlana Kotlyar reports from Colombia:

Hola amigos! Greetings to all from Colombia from the team "IGORYASHKI"!

We were out of touch in the jungle for a couple of days, but today we are back in civilization again. Our team split up for a while, some members stayed to relax on the beaches of Santa Marta, and the main part of the group went trekking to the Lost city.

On February 17, we went on the route. On the first day, we drove part of the way on motorbikes and the second half (10 km) walked to the town of Mumake, where we stopped for the night. The route passes through the jungle, through thickets of tall century-old trees. The place of the overnight stay is located on the river bank, and how nice it was to plunge into the cool water after the route! For dinner, we cooked delicious local fish.

On February 18, we woke up early in the morning and after breakfast continued our journey to the Lost city. The lost city of Tyrone was found in the 1970s by tomb robbers, after which it became a real sensation. According to modern scientists, it was founded around 800 AD, i.e. 650 years earlier than the famous Machu Picchu.

There is only one way to get to the city – to climb up the slope by about 1200 stone steps, the ascent of which after climbing the Nevado del Tolima was not easy for us, but we coped. The climb was definitely worth it, all the participants were very impressed!

In three days of trekking, we have covered more than 40 km, and in total for the entire program more than 100. Today we went down to Santa Marta and met with all the team members at a villa near the Caribbean coast. Now we are having dinner and sharing our emotions from our long and eventful trip to Colombia!

News from Tanzania. Today we moved to the second camp called Shira Camp, which is located at an altitude of 3800 meters. In the morning we were introduced to the team that works with our group. There are 27 people in total. After that, we hit the road.

It was a beautiful crossing among the bushes, picturesquely decorated with moss. The sun shone the first half of the day, but closer to lunch, clouds covered everything, and it rained. Fortunately, we just managed to reach the camp. The rain started in earnest, and we had to cancel the acclimatization rotation. In the rain, the best acclimatization is to sit in a tent. But after a while the rain stopped, and we decided to take a walk to the observation point. We climbed a hundred meters in height. Three builders have built an elegant, but it seems not very strong structure. This is the end of our acclimatization for today.
