A Guide of the 7 Summits Club Evgeny Fedyunin reports from the Elbrus region:

 10.09. Hello everyone!  The individual group of the 7 Summits Club "Spartans" climbed the slopes of Elbrus today and went to the Refuge of 11 at an altitude of 4100 meters. There, in conditions of clouds and snow hail, we successfully held snow and ice training. In particular, we worked on the technique of self-arrest with an ice ax.

On the descent, we visited the Museum of Military Glory at the Mir station at an altitude of 3500 m.

The situation on the pendulum cable car is critical. The new roads are closed for maintenance, and the "old lady" cannot cope with the number of people wanting to go up and down! Every day passions run high here...

 News from Tanzania. Today, our "Anahata" group made the move to the Shira camp, which is located at an altitude of almost 4,000 meters. The road was very beautiful. We cheerfully climbed up the rocks, not forgetting to admire the views and flowers.

After lunch in the camp, we walked to the observation deck. And when we returned, we had a ceremony to get to know the team. It was, as usual, very cheerful with songs and dances.

News from Pakistan! The "Grandfathers and Girls" team has fully assembled in Islamabad today. Our expedition to the summit of the six-thousander Khoser Gunge begins. Today we had an interesting excursion around Islamabad and then there was trekking to the highest hills around the city. The evening ended in a restaurant with a beautiful view of Islamabad. Tomorrow we fly to Skardu. The adventures continue!!!

 Hello everyone! Today, the new individual group of the 7 Summits Club "Spartans" went to the slopes of Mount Cheget to the famous cafe "Ai", at an altitude of 2750 m.

Autumn is coming, but the mountains are still quite comfortable! Today was a cloudy day, it drizzled a little, but the mood of the group remained fighting.

Everything is going according to plan: after lunch - equipment rental, preparation for tomorrow, rest.

News of the Elbrus region! The new group of the 7 Summits Club called "While the mushrooms" began preparations for climbing Elbrus. Today we walked along the slopes of Mount Cheget to the Ai cafe. The trail leads through a picturesque forest, which then gives way to lush alpine meadows. The weather was cloudy today, sometimes it tried to rain. The mountains were all covered, Elbrus did not show up. Tomorrow we are heading to the National Park shelter, where we will spend a few days before the ascent.

Hello everyone from Tanzania! Yesterday our large and very cheerful group gathered at the foot of Kilimanjaro. And this morning we began our journey to the summit.

At the very beginning of the walk, we came up with a name for the group - Anahata. "Anahata" is the heart chakra. We will open our hearts and receive joy (as much as possible) from this amazing journey.

Today we passed the first stage - through the jungle. We saw black and white colobus monkeys. In the first camp, where we reached today, all the participants were amazed at how comfortable it is.

Greetings from Iran! The group "Masha and the Lions" has reached the final part. Tomorrow early in the morning we are scheduled to go to the summit of Damavand. The day before, we climbed to the assault camp at 4200 m, at a good pace in 5 hours, which shows the good physical fitness of the participants. We were accommodated in the best "rooms" of the shelter, and delicious food and a pleasant time spent talking and playing Perudo create a favorable atmosphere. Today before lunch we made a short acclimatization hike to 4500 m. During the day we discussed organizational aspects of the upcoming ascent. The mood is the most decisive, wish us luck! Greetings from Iran! The group "Masha and the Lions" continues its smooth acclimatization before the climb, yesterday was the last day of relaxation. In the morning, we went to the top of Tochal, it is an hour and a half up and down from the seventh station of the cable car. We climbed at a leisurely pace. Nevertheless, the goal was achieved, we visited the highest point of this area, 3964 m. Then we went down by cable car to Tehran and began moving towards Damavand. We issued permits at the House of the Iranian Mountaineering Federation, then checked into the amazing Arses Hotel, which looks like an oasis against the backdrop of the village landscape. Before dinner we took a dip in a thermal spring, and at the end of the most eventful day of the program we had a tasting of kebabs and shashliks in the local kebab shop of Larijana. Today we start working for real, we climb to the camp at 4200 m. Guides Andrey Selivanov and Valery Myasoedov.

Yesterday, September 6th, a group the 7 Summits Club El Pupsa made a successful ascent on the summit of Elbrus. The weather forecast, predicting snowfall, did not come true (more precisely, the bad weather shifted to a later time). As a result, the summit was windless and clear. The group has climbed at a good pace and without losses. The descent also went smoothly.

 6.09. Yesterday, the group of Marvel Agents from the 7 Summits Club climbed the summit of West Elbrus at 5642m! The weather and condition of the route were close to perfect. A successful climb was a great gift for birthday of our member Marina. We had to swerve a little bit in traffic on an old cable car. But this unpleasantness has in no way tarnished our solemn, festive dinner of awards and congratulations!

There are new horizons ahead!

 Hi from Iran! The group "Masha and the Lions" began the acclimatization part of the program on the second day of their stay in the country. In the early afternoon, we climbed the cable car to 3,600 m and checked into the cozy Hotel Tochal. The accommodations for a high-altitude hotel are luxurious. The good food, the comfortable rooms, the recreation area, all contribute to acclimatization and recovery. In the afternoon, we climbed to the top of Mount Shah Nesh, 3,800 meters, and enjoyed a panoramic view of Tehran. Suddenly, the Damavand, which is usually hidden in the mist, opened up. In the evening, Andrey Selivanov gave a lecture on hypoxic training in preparation for climbing. Our participants showed great interest and asked many questions. Greetings from Iran! The new group of the 7 Summits Club has started the program of climbing Damavand! Tehran greeted us with the usual heat, under +36. However, in the north of the city, at the foot of the mountain range, where our magnificent hotel Espinas Palace is located, it is more comfortable. The first day of the stay was devoted to getting to know the city. The program included lunch in the panoramic restaurant of the Milod Tower at an altitude of 280 m, a sightseeing tour of Tehran and a visit to the Golestan Palace, the residence of the Qajar dynasty. We managed to do everything, even left a couple of hours to relax in the hotel spa. The welcome dinner was held in the Diba restaurant, numerous appetizers, traditional Iranian kebabs and shashliks were appreciated by the group members. During the day we got to know each other better and wished each other a successful ascent. The name of the group will be announced in the next news item. 4.09. Hello everyone! Today the 7 Summits Club group "Agents of Marvel" made an acclimatization ascent to Pastukhov Rocks! We were lucky with the weather on the ascent, but then it was different, including rain and snow. The participants feel great, fully prepared for the ascent. Tomorrow is a planned day of rest and preparation for the assault on the summit of Elbrus.

We went to the cafe "Ai", ate chebureks with khichins and appreciated the taste of wonderful mountain tea. Tomorrow we will climb to the refuge situated on Elbrus slopes, where we will continue to prepare for the ascent.

 3.09. Hello everyone! Today, the individual group of the 7 Summits Club "Marvel Agents" climbed the slopes of Elbrus to the Refuge of 11 at 4100m. There we held snow and ice training sessions, worked on the technique of self-arrest with an ice ax. The weather was great, everything went great. We had a snack at the refuge with our chef Zuli and went down to the hotel to rest.

Before dinner, already near the hotel, we mastered the basics of mountaineering techniques and worked on safety systems and moving on fixed ropes. Tomorrow there will be an acclimatization climb to the Pastukhov Rocks.

Hello everyone! Today, a new individual group of the 7 Summits Club, which came up with the name "Marvel Agents", began its program of climbing Elbrus. Traditionally, we climbed the slopes of Mount Cheget to the legendary cafe "Ai" at an altitude of 2750 meters. The weather was good for us, allowing us to go down to Lake Donguz Orun Köl. After lunch, we went to the rental for the missing equipment and are preparing for tomorrow's acclimatization on the slopes of Elbrus, with an ascent to 4100 m and training sessions.

Elbrus region news. Yesterday, August 30, the 7 Summits Club group "Brusnika" successfully climbed the Western peak of Elbrus. The weather was wonderful, sunny and windless. From the summit, there were beautiful views of the Greater Caucasus Range and far to the north. All participants walked well and felt good.
