The guide of the 7 Summits Club Artem Rostovtsev reports from Georgia:

Greetings to the 7 Summits Club from the Sunny Optimists group from the slopes of Kazbek! They turned off the sun for us, but we remained optimists. Cloudy, windy and with precipitation are forecast for three days. Therefore, the plan was not changed and tonight, having waited a little for the strong wind to pass, we headed towards the summit. We were diligently looking for a path, later a path and internal reserves. Near the crosspiece, we found a lonely Czech, whom his comrades unfastened from the rope, and they themselves ran towards the summit. By this time, in addition to the wind, precipitation and dense cloud, there was no GPS signal - it is jammed here. We made a reasonable decision to move down and quickly get to delicious Georgian cuisine. We took the Czech with us.

Greetings from the "Sunny Optimists" team from the slopes of Kazbek! In good weather, we walked yesterday to the Deka refuge at an altitude of 3000 m. The refuge is new, amazed by its convenience. Of course, we would have stayed here longer, but the main goal is higher. Today we will move to the upper refuge, which is also the assault shelter for us, the Meteorological Station. The sun is shining - the mountain is waiting.

The 7 Summits Club guide Artem Rostovtsev sends from Georgia:

Hello to the 7 Summits Club from hospitable and all-round gastronomic Georgia! The program of climbing Kazbek of our small group is beginning. We were unable to take photos in the evening, we arrived late and it was so dark that no camera could cope. Very late in the evening we had a delicious dinner on the way to Stepantsminda, there will be no photos of the dinner either, so that no one chokes on saliva. We had a difficult early rise ahead of us. But we were ready to get up in time and go higher. Today, according to the plan, we should climb to the refuge at an altitude of 3000 m. A few photos later. Once again, big hello to everyone from the group that called itself "Sunny Optimists"!
