Aconcagua 2025 - 2026

The "Five Spartans" group is in touch! Today was a long day; we spent seven hours climbing to base camp. It was a hot day, making the going a bit tough, but we're Spartans, after all! We arrived at Aconcagua Base Camp at Plaza de Mulas by lunchtime. We settled into comfortable domos, had lunch, and showered. Then we rested and had dinner. Due to the poor weather forecast for the day after tomorrow, we plan to continue to Camp Canada at 5,050 meters instead of a rest day. Greetings from the slopes of Aconcagua, or more specifically, from the Berlin summit camp (5930 m) from the "Malbecs" group! Today we reached the assault camp. We rested a bit after the hike and dined on buckwheat and stewed meat. Now it's time for an early night and we'll be heading out tonight for the summit push. Wish us luck! The "Five Spartans" group continues acclimatization before their ascent of Aconcagua. Today we ascended toward Plaza Francia to an altitude of 4,000 meters. We had a wonderful walk. We returned to camp, rested, and went for a health check in the evening! Medics checked everyone and confirmed our name – everyone is healthy and ready to continue! Greetings from the "Malbecs" group on the slopes of Aconcagua! Today we once again climbed to our high-altitude camp Nido de Condores, at 5,500 meters. This time, we improved our last time by 40 minutes, which means we're acclimatizing well. Our sleep and appetite are excellent, which are also good signs of successful acclimatization. Greetings from the "Malbec" group on the slopes of Aconcagua! Today we spent a rest day at our base camp, preparing for tomorrow's climb to Nido de Condores. We've completed our altitude acclimatization cycle, and now it's all uphill to the summit. As always, it's a bit nerve-wracking; every climb is unique. This season is full of weather surprises; today the wind blew all night, gusting up to 55 km/h. We passed this test, too; experience camping overnight in stormy weather will be useful. This is the "Five Spartans" group from Aconcagua National Park. Today was our first day of trekking. In the morning, we camped at Puento del Inca Camp, packed up, and drove to the park entrance. Our permits were checked there. We then hiked to the first intermediate camp, called Confluencia Camp, where we saw Aconcagua for the first time. We checked in and rested at the camp. Greetings from the "Malbecs" group on the slopes of Aconcagua! Today, after an acclimatization night at 5,500 meters, we descended to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp (4,300 meters). We need to recuperate before the final climb. We were lucky to descend in time, as the weather suddenly deteriorated after lunch, with snow sleet falling from the sky. This is a sure sign of a thunderstorm. Thunder and lightning were quick to arrive, and for 5-6 hours we watched the storm in the mountains. Tomorrow is a well-deserved rest day. This is the "Five Spartans" group! Today was a simple day: we left the hotel and drove three hours to Puento Del Inca. Here we unpacked our belongings and handed them over to the porters. We checked into comfortable dome tents, or "domos." We had dinner and visited the legendary Inca Bridge. The new 7 Summits Club group, the "Five Spartans," has begun its journey to the summit of Aconcagua. Today, almost all participants gathered in the city of Mendoza. We checked our gear and had dinner at a restaurant. Tomorrow we depart for Aconcagua National Park. In the meantime, we're catching up on sleep and resting. Greetings from the slopes of Aconcagua! Today, our "Malbec" group ascended to the Nido de Condores camp (5,500 m). The weather was fine during the ascent, and we climbed quite quickly. At the camp, as always, thanks to Valera Myasoedov's care, we had boiling water, so essential at altitude, hot tea, and cookies waiting for us. These are the things that quickly restore our strength. Also during the ascent, we had an interesting encounter with the famous Nepalese climber Nims. We took a photo with him. The group's guides were Georgy Bushuev and Dmitry Semenov.

Greetings from the slopes of Aconcagua! Today, our "Malbecs" group completed their first high-altitude acclimatization ascent to 5,000 meters to Plaza Canada. Tomorrow is a rest day at camp, where we'll adjust our gear and weigh it for transport to Nido de Condores high-altitude camp at 5,500 meters. We'll be spending the night there to better acclimatize. Greetings from the slopes of Aconcagua, from the "Malbec" group! Today we spent a rest day at our camp at 4,300 meters. We walked to the old hotel, even got a chance to go inside, and saw the 7 Summits Club flag, apparently left by some of our first climbers on Aconcagua. It was a true touch of history. We also visited the highest art gallery in the world, which is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records, and admired the works of artist Miguel. Today, our "Malbecs" group, after an eight-hour trek, ascended to our Plaza de Mulas Base Camp (4,300 m), where, as always, we were warmly welcomed and given a delicious meal. Greetings from sunny Argentina, from the "Malbec" group! Today, our plan was to acclimatize towards Plaza France. We successfully reached 4,000 meters, and after a good rest and a light snack, we returned to our welcoming Confluencia camp. Tomorrow, we leave this camp and ascend to our main base camp at a new altitude of 4,300 meters. We'll be at Plaza de Mulas, where our altitude acclimatization will take place and where our trek to the summit will begin. Dmitry Semenov and Georgy Bushuev are the group guides.

Greetings from sunny Argentina! Today, our "Malbeki" team entered Aconcagua National Park and completed the first trekking day of our long and interesting expedition. The weather along the way was wonderful; it wasn't too hot, and a light breeze kept us feeling refreshed and cool. As always, we were warmly welcomed at Confluencia Camp, with fresh fruit and juice carefully prepared on the table. Tomorrow is the acclimatization hike. The group is in excellent condition. Today we woke up at Berlin Camp. We had breakfast and then descended to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp. We rested there together for a while, and then almost the entire group took off by helicopter and traveled to Mendoza. Tomorrow, the guides and one participant will descend to the city on foot. Greetings from the far south of the Antarctic "Pipkohody" group! We've been stuck on Union Glacier for a while now. The weather at Sidley is starting to improve, but it's only in the forecast for a couple of days. But we're flying there! It's coming soon, really soon!

Greetings from sunny Argentina, from the "Malbeki" team! Today we left the sunny and hot city of Mendoza and moved to our first camp, at the entrance to Aconcagua National Park, in Puente del Inca. We settled into comfortable cabins and went on a scenic walk to the famous Inca Bridge. Afterwards, we had dinner, a briefing for the next day, and a well-deserved rest. Guides for the group are Georgy Bushuev and Dmitry Semenov.

Hooray! The "Incas on the Trail" group found the trail to the summit of Aconcagua. We all reached the summit.  However, two participants climbed at their own pace, a little later than the first group. It was cold and windy at night, but that didn't stop us! Greetings from sunny Argentina! Our new group assembled today. There are six, all ready for the climb and motivated for success. On this warm Argentine evening, we gathered in a cozy restaurant, got to know each other, and ate delicious meat. The group tasted the famous Argentine Malbec wine, and now we're ready for adventure.
