Meanwhile, Artem and I, having covered half the world in four planes, burst onto the slopes of Kilimanjaro. Only yesterday we flew to Tanzania from Papua New Guinea, and today we have already reached the Horombo camp. That is, we have gained almost two kilometers vertically in 6.5 hours. Along the way, we took breaks to take pictures of blue monkeys and some animals like tree gophers.

The mood is cheerful, tomorrow we are going to the assault camp.

Greetings from mountainous Nepal! Today in the afternoon our supergroup "Inseparable" came to the high-mountain lodge Gorakshep (5100 m.). And after a short rest, we climbed Mount Kalapathar (5644 m.) And not in vain, to see Everest in the setting sun, it is worth a lot! Tomorrow our roads will lead us only down.

The 7 Summits Club group thanked the local team at the Horombo Refuge for their invaluable help throughout the program and during the ascent. As usual, we danced and sang together, and took photos. Then there was a descent through the humid jungle and the long-awaited comfortable hotel. In the evening, a ceremonial event was held to present certificates, medals and mutual gratitude. As usual, the party was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Smiles, laughter, handshakes and hugs, and even dancing, despite the fatigue!

 We join in congratulating Alexander Abramov - 3 highest volcanoes of the continents in 2 weeks! Keep it up!

The guide of the 7 Summits Club Evgeny Fedyunin: 11/5-6/2024. Jambo Rafiki!

There was no connection, a hundred thousand sorry! During these two days, the "Chameleons" group of the 7 Summits Club climbed to the Kibo assault camp at 4730 m. On the way there, we had lunch in a beautiful gazebo located in the saddle between Mount Mawenzi at 5145 m and the main summit of the Kilimanjaro massif, Uhuru Peak at 5895 m.

On the night of 6.11, we set out to assault in two groups, an hour apart, and by 8.00 we reunited on the crater in the Gilmans point area at 5685 m.

And by 10 am, our entire friendly team stood at the highest point of Africa, Uhuru Peak at 5895 m in the Kilimanjaro massif! Unfortunately, one girl, due to health reasons, turned back from a height above 5000 m. By evening, tired but happy, we descended to the Horombo camp at 3720 m, where a varied and delicious dinner awaited us.

Happy everyone! Today we go down to the Marangu gate and leave for our favorite hotel Aishe Machame.

The 7 Summits Club group "Chameleons" (guide Evgeny Fedyunin) and Alexander Abramov's group made a successful joint ascent on the summit of Kilimanjaro. Ten participants and guides reached the highest point of the Uhuru Peak massif at 10 a.m. local time.

For Alexander Abramov, this is the third mountain of the "7 Volcanoes in 77 Days" project. The first was Elbrus on October 25. Three volcanoes in 13 days it is a good pace!

11/04. Jambo Rafiki! The 7 Summits Club group "Chameleons" acclimatized today in the area of the Horombo camp at 3720m. We went to Zebra Rock at 4042m. Upon returning, a great lunch awaited us. And for dinner, we generally ate borscht, which our girls cooked, giving a master class to our chef! In addition, the whole team watched several films of the "7 Summits Club" projects together. 03.11. Jambo Rafiki! The "Chameleons" group of the 7 Summits Club, today passed through the heather thickets of moorland along the eastern slope of Mount Kilimanjaro and climbed to the Horombo camp at 3720m. Almost simultaneously, our group was caught up here by Alexander Abramov, who is doing the "7 volcanoes in 77 days" project in parallel with our program. He has just climbed the 2nd peak of the project – Damavand, and now we are going to Kili together!

The altitude is making itself felt a little, but everyone is feeling well, and so is their appetite. Good luck to everyone!

Kilimanjaro. Our team of the project "7 volcanoes in 77 days" climbed to the Horombo camp 3800 m. The weather is very kind for us so far. There is no rain. There is no wind.

The camp is very comfortable. We live in small houses on beds. The food is very tasty. The team is in a great mood. Today we will watch a film about Everest, which Ilya Gladkikh shot in the spring during our spring expedition.

Today our team does nothing but dance and sing. I love this atmosphere on Kilimanjaro. Thanks to our local team, who make our ascent a holiday.

Kilimanjaro should become the third summit in this project. Alex has already climbed Elbrus (Russia) and Damavand (Iran) and is now flying to Tanzania to catch up with the group. A new group from the 7 Summits Club, called "Chameleons", flew to the foot of Kilimanjaro today to trek and climb Uhuru Peak 5895m along the Marangu route! The day flew by in solving organizational issues, checking equipment and relaxing a little in the park of the Aishe Machame Hotel!

Three participants who arrived early managed to go on an excursion with a visit to a coffee plantation and the Materuni waterfall! In the evening, they watched the "Maasai show", an ethnographic performance of nomads living in Tanzania and Kenya.

Today our group in full force climbed the summit of Kilimanjaro. The group was surprisingly strong, so we climbed at a brisk pace. On the way we saw a beautiful sunrise, glaciers, sang songs. And by evening we had already descended to the Millennium camp, where a special climbing dinner awaited us.

Today our group "Anahata" moved from the Karanga camp to the Barafu camp and then ascended to the assault camp of Kosovo at an altitude of 4850 meters. The weather is consistently good. Everyone feels good. The mood is fighting. We'll go climbing tonight.

 Greetings to everyone from Tanzania from the Anahata group! Today we had a very long day. We crossed the Lava Tower, climbed there to an altitude of 4600 meters.

After lunch, having acclimatized and rested, we left the stone desert and descended to the already familiar altitude of 4000 meters. On the way we passed through a beautiful gorge with amazing senecia plants. We spend the night in the Barranco camp at an altitude of 3960 meters.

All members of the group feel good, the mood is great.

 News from Tanzania. Today, our "Anahata" group made the move to the Shira camp, which is located at an altitude of almost 4,000 meters. The road was very beautiful. We cheerfully climbed up the rocks, not forgetting to admire the views and flowers.

After lunch in the camp, we walked to the observation deck. And when we returned, we had a ceremony to get to know the team. It was, as usual, very cheerful with songs and dances.

Hello everyone from Tanzania! Yesterday our large and very cheerful group gathered at the foot of Kilimanjaro. And this morning we began our journey to the summit.

At the very beginning of the walk, we came up with a name for the group - Anahata. "Anahata" is the heart chakra. We will open our hearts and receive joy (as much as possible) from this amazing journey.

Today we passed the first stage - through the jungle. We saw black and white colobus monkeys. In the first camp, where we reached today, all the participants were amazed at how comfortable it is.

So our great African adventure on Kilimanjaro has come to an end. In the last days of the ascent, we sometimes had no connection, sometimes we didn't have time at all.
Now that we're down in the plain, we can exhale and tell you everything.

After climbing to the Kibo camp at an altitude of 4,700 meters, we began to acclimatize. We spent the night and the whole day there, during which we took a short walk around the neighborhood. All the time in the camp we were being buffeted by the incessant very strong wind. It seemed that a little more and not only the tents would fly away, but also the houses. They say that such a wind has not been seen on Kilimanjaro for a long time.
But you can't scare us with the wind. Therefore, as planned, after the day at 4700 at night we went out to climb.

Slowly, to the songs of local guides, we climbed to the edge of the crater. And by dawn they went up there. After that, we continued along the crater to the top. And by eight in the morning, the whole group had reached the highest point in Africa.
Then there was a long descent to Kibo camp. And then - to the Horombo camp, where the farewell ceremony with the team took place the next day. It was a little sad that everything ended so quickly, but I really wanted to take a hot shower.

Therefore, without delaying the ceremony, saying goodbye, we went down the valley. Twenty kilometers of scenic road is the perfect end to a journey. A little battered, burned, but happy, we went down to the gates of the national park, from where our journey began a week ago.
And in the evening there was a farewell dinner with the presentation of commemorative awards to all participants of the trip.Saying goodbye, everyone has already started planning a new trip.

 Greetings to all from Tanzania from the Amazing group!  Today we had a great, half-relaxing day. Waking up in the morning, everyone was surprised and delighted to admire the blanket of clouds below us.  And those who were not too lazy to leave their homes at night could watch the incredible starry sky. After breakfast, we went for a short scenic walk to Zebra Rocks - black and white rock massive. In four hours we gained and dropped 400 meters, which is very good for acclimatization. And we saw a lot of beautiful things, which is just good.

At the camp, we were greeted with songs and dances. The ceremony of getting to know the team was held cheerfully. They sang songs, we danced. Tomorrow we will have a big march to the assault camp.

Rafiki Jumbo! The group of the 7 Summits Club "Power Rangers" went through the jungle and threw off 2 km of vertical. On the descent, lunch was waiting for us and the long-awaited restoration of the water-alkaline balance with a local beer called Kilimanjaro!
