 Our dear friend!  We wish you further movement to various summits in life! You've already proved all to everyone once. The symbol of your success in life has become a unique record: the largest amplitude. Namely, the record depth in caves and the highest peak of the World (twice) on the surface.  Everest was reached in the team of the 7 Summits Club.

The 7 Summits Club congratulates Vladislav (Vlad) Lachkarev with the ascent on the volcano Sidley and completion  the epic "Seven summits + Seven volcanoes + Two poles"! Waiting for him on Big Earth!

 According to updated data, the ascent on the highest volcano of Antarctica Mount Sidley took place on January 15. The group that gathered by ALE company, was led by Chilean guide Maria Paz (Pachi) Ibarra. It was an employee of the American Fred Aldridge (aviation coordinator) and three people who completed  by this ascent program "Seven volcanoes". This Indian Satyarup Siddhanta, the Hungarian Sandor (Sanya) Toth and the Russian, the representative of the 7 Summits Club Vladislav Lachkarev.

 Vlad Lachkarev is 42 years old and he is one of the most prominent businessmen of Irkutsk (Siberia, Lake Baikal). A recognized professional, founder of several companies, former Director of a large enterprise, an intelligent, strong-willed and consistent person. At one time, he struck all of us in the 7 Summits Club by his full report on the ascent of Everest.

Hello!  It is Alexander Abramov from Antarctica. Today we have several significant events. It's January 9th. First, I want to congratulate Artem Rostovtsev on his next birthday! Secondly, today our team, which has already reached  South Pole and  climbed Mount  Vinson, must fly home. On the mainland, in Chile, a new team arrives, 10 people who are going on bicycles to "conquer" the South Pole.

 As long as Union Glacier has great weather, no wind. The sun shines. All is ready, things are collected. Artem Rostovtsev has already flown to the South Pole. In the morning he will go to meet our team on the transport at the point where the team will land. In General, everything is fine!

In the last mailing of this year we want to wish you a lot of joy, good health, love and understanding, creative success and good earnings in the coming year!  And, of course, the most incredible adventures and travel, which you have long dreamed of! The 7 Summits Club has a mission to turn someone's dream into reality. So do not hesitate to contact us!

5th of December Nikolai Cherny marks 80 years!  The 7 Summits Club congratulates him as a close friend, guide and member of our expeditions. Thank you for your participation in our formation, for your kindness, for the wisdom that we are trying to learn from you!

All  Everest summiters and all friends of the 7 Summits Club are once again invited to the Gala evening of the Russian mountaineering Federation on December 1. Gathering of participants from 17: 00, beginning at 18: 00. There, in particular,  it will be awarded  ceremony  of honorary signs "Climber on Everest"  to heroes of the 2018 season.

 And for one of the heroes, Vasily Shakhnovsky, the award has found a few before. In the plane flying to the far South, Alexander Abramov presented this beautiful award to one of our best friends.

 In the photos we see how the guide of the 7 Summits Club  Artem Rostovtsev awards  participants of successful ascent on  Carstensz Pyramid  with honorary medals. Among them there are two of our regular participants of travel, who grew up before our eyes in serious climbers - Volodya Belkevich and Kirill Semeshkin. For them, this ascent was the final in the program "Seven Summits". Congratulations, friends! Forward to the Poles and Seven Volcanoes!

Alexander Abramov from Punta Arenas: Today is the birthday of Artem Rostovtsev. He now arrives from Antarctica to Punta Arenas. Let's congratulate him! He is 40 years old!!!

Artem Rostovtsev deserve a special place in the history of sports of Russia. For many years he was the leader of a team of multisportsmen Russia, took part in dozens of international tournaments, where our team are not lost amid.

Separate epic - Old Spice Africa Expedition 2007, international multi-sport expedition through Africa. Facts about the expedition:

• route more 12000км: Captown (South Africa) – Alexandria (Egypt)
• completed 11 countries
• participants from 8 countries
• spent 5 months
• transport: Bicycle, running, rowing, climbing the highest peaks

Artem Rostovtsev is one of the founders of new sports disciplines in our country: skyrunning and trailrunning. As an organizer and as an athlete it is always on top, always immaculate in every way...

Congratulations to coach and guide of our Club Alexey Lonchinsky with a victory in the championship of Russia on mountaineering and a great climb! We also congratulate his teammate Yuri Koshelenko with the same! Yuri also worked as a guide for our programs. We are proud of our friendship and cooperation with outstanding world-class climbers!

The 7 Summits Club congratulates Ivan Dusharin happy anniversary! We wish our friend, companion on the mountain travel, teacher and example in life, a new sports and creative achievements, good health and joy! We hope of new joint projects and meetings in the mountains and on the plain!

Members of our Club started in all kinds of programs and all reached the finish line. In fact, they coped with the task. Especially it should be noted Olga Rumyantseva and Christine Putintseva that ran the full program, having the entire four-day marathon - officially it was called a 4-day stage trail race (4-day mountain marathon) Crimea X Run

The President of the 7 Summits Club Alexander Abramov personally congratulated Igor Pokhvalin 60th birthday directly to his house in Simferopol. Igor is a great person, guide, doctor and member of the expeditions 7 Summits Club. He is a doctor, surgeon, writer and poet, historian and geographer, climber and an expert on Crimean wines. We hope that we have a lot of meetings and a wonderful Crimea, and in Moscow and traveling to the most exotic areas of the world!

Today, Luda Korobeshko and Alex Abramov with friends made the first Russian climb Cime du Gelas– the highest peak in the French Maritime Alps. The ascent lasted 12 hours and was devoted to our friend Sasha Yelkov which is exactly 60 years old today!

Climbing the highest mountain in North America Denali, Alexei Bautin completed the "Seven summits". We once again congratulations and we will congratulate at the next meeting in person! Almost all of these climbing Alex made in groups of the 7 summits Club. We believe him one of our most devoted and loyal friends.

 Alex - a man who knows how to achieve his goal and we have no doubt that he will continue to travel with us and climb to new heights.

Alexei 40 years, he is a native of the city of Yartsevo, Smolensk region. A civil engineer by profession. He recently assumed duties as Head of the administration of Solnechnogorsk district of the Moscow region.

 Today at 7500, we met Janusz Kochanski, our member from Poland, which is already the second time takes part in our expeditions on Everest. We let him go ahead of our group to make a world record. And he did it. After today's climb, the speed record for completing all of the "seven summits" is 128 days. Janusz began in Antarctica, it was January 13 or 14, with Mount Vinson. And he finished on 20^th of May, when he climbed Mount Everest.

Record of Colin O’Brady from 2016 was 132 days.

 In the year of the Fire Rooster, we recommend going to the mountains! These birds always like to climb to the highest point, that is, on every continent on the Seven Summits! Roosters are punctual, they are serious about their duties, they act as  guides for their wards. They get up early, as the real climbers, they're out of their way to be heard, whatever the circumstances.

Take from them the best!

By decision of the UN General Assembly on December 11^th  every year is celebrated as the International Mountain Day, to draw attention to mountain regions in the world, to their potential and challenges on the path to sustainable development.

  The 7 Summits Club congratulates all fans of the mountains, all the inhabitants of mountainous areas, all those who, one way or another, connected with the mountains!

2016 Theme — "Mountain Cultures: Celebrating diversity and strengthening identity"

Covering around 22 percent of the earth’s land surface, mountains play a critical role in moving the world towards sustainable economic growth. They not only provide sustenance and wellbeing to 915 million mountain people around the world, representing 13 percent of global population, but mountains also indirectly benefit billions more living downstream.

This year, the celebration of this Day aims to highlight Mountain Cultures. Mountains host communities with ancient cultures and traditions, and are places of religious worship, pilgrimage and rituals all over the world. The concept of traditional heritage, culture and spirituality is intrinsically linked with peoples’ livelihoods in the mountains, where it is often traditional lifestyles that determine the way people make a living and subsist.

Mountains are also the sources of springs and rivers and have been revered as the home of deities throughout history. In times of drought, the Kikuyu people faced Mount Kenya and asked the God Ngai for rain. The Inca people constructed their temples on the highest peaks over 6 000 metres (m) in the Andes. In China, villages traditionally dedicated a temple to the local mountain deity responsible for clouds and rain.

A large proportion of the world's minority populations live in mountain areas. While most of these consist of small numbers of people, some large groups exist, such as the Quechua in the Andes, the Amhara people in Ethiopia, and the Tibetans and Yi in China. Isolation, created by the rugged topographic barriers, has helped create and maintain many diverse cultures relatively intact. Unfortunately, the stability of mountain populations, each with different values and belief systems, is threatened by migration, urbanization and conflict. 

Mountain peoples have long held vital roles in the management of their ecosystems. Over the centuries, they have developed remarkable land-use systems, climate change adaptation approaches, traditional diets and mountain products that are unique and rich in globally significant biodiversity.

Often grounded in a deep connection with the land, mountain communities’ worldviews guide them in their agricultural activities and care of the environment and natural resources. In the Andes, for example, mother nature Pachamama, worshipped by the indigenous peoples, presides over planting and harvesting, embodies mountains and is believed to cause earthquakes. Rituals to honour Pachamama reinforce the relations between human communities and their natural environments, bringing together people from different clans and villages at various points of the agricultural cycle.

Furthermore, mountains and mountain-protected areas are places of spiritual solace, inspiration, recreation and relaxation. From skiing and climbing to viewing mountain gorillas in Rwanda and visiting the rock churches in Ethiopia, mountains offer an array of possibilities to all kinds of tourists. According to United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), 376 of the world’s 669 Biosphere Reserves, or 56 percent, contain mountain ecosystems.  

The impacts of tourism on culture and identity in the mountains can bring both possibilities and challenges. Community-based mountain tourism can ensure a more equitable distribution of income, help maintain local cultures and knowledge, reduce out-migration and provide incentives for the protection of mountain ecosystems, their goods and services.

While Mountain Culture is the suggested theme for 2016, countries, communities and organizations are welcome to celebrate International Mountain Day through the choice of a different theme that might be more relevant to them.

On Saturday, December 3  a solemn evening of the Federation of Mountaineering of Russia (FMR) took place in the center of Moscow in the Telegraph hall. The action is devoted to summing up year and delivery of awards to the caused a stir athletes. The awarding the prize "Gold Ice Axe of Russia" for the best climb of year was the main event, of course. However evening began, and it was very pleasant, from a celebration of new summiters of Everest. Since 2012 FMR awards them with the special medal.

 The organizers caused on the stage of our heroes of Everest. Members of the expedition of the 7 Summits Club: Vlad Moroz, Roman Reutov, Irena Harazova, Igor Demyanenko. And also Masha Gordon, who climed from the South and forgotten in 2012 (when awarded all, since 1982) Vyacheslav Skripko. A bit later the award found one more heroine – Tatyana Yalovchak from Ukraine. She just was late. Awards will also be transferred to two more participants of our expedition: Oleg Pimenov and Vladimir Kotlyar.

Today is the anniversary of the Vasily Kernicky, Muscovite, climbers on Everest, Cho-Oyu, our 7thousanders peaks. The 7 Summits Club congratulates him with a birthday and wishes strong health, happiness, luck and new achievements! We hope to meet the 13th October at a gala evening in our office! Vasily is now returning with friends from the expedition to the sixth highest peak in the world Cho Oyu. This beautiful mountain is a great gift for the celebrant!

 The 7 Summits Club celebrates Birthday of Lyudmila Korobeshko. The entire staff, who in Moscow, who in the mountains, together and in unison said: CONGRATULATIONS!
