The 7 Summits Club guide Alexander Dorojukov sends from the Elbrus region:

Greetings from the "Climbers Drink Sparkling Wine" group! Today we climbed to the National Park shelter, checked into comfortable houses. Then we walked higher up the slope to the Refuge of Eleven. There we held training sessions. We trampled snow and ice slopes, chopped ice, felt carabiners. We learned to self-arrest when falling with an ice axe. In general, everything is going according to plan.

12.08, Cheget. Hello everyone! The new group of the 7 Summits Club called "Ural-TOP-team" today walked along the fabulous forest paths on the slopes of Mount Cheget. Grandfather Elbrus was hiding today and only occasionally spied on us. At the finish line - again the historically famous "Ai" cafe, unique herbal tea and khichyns! Tomorrow, ascent to the slopes of Elbrus, snow slopes training - everything according to plan.

 Greetings from the Elbrus region! Today our new supergroup made its first acclimatization rotation. We climbed the slopes of Mount Cheget, through a fairy-tale forest and alpine meadows, to the cafe "Ai" (2700 m.) As usual, we tried delicious tea and chebureki with lingonberries there. After that, we went down the picturesque road to the Povorot hotel.

Greetings from the group of the 7 Summits Club, which took the name "Mountaineers drink sparkling wine"! Traditionally, we began our acclimatization on the slopes of Mount Cheget. We walked along our beautiful path with views of the clouds, since the mountains did not really want to show themselves to us today. It already feels like autumn is approaching. Cold wind and occasional precipitation. But basically everything is fine, we continue to work according to plan.

On August 9, the 7 Summits Club group "7YA" completed the program with a successful climb the summit of Elbrus. The weather was gorgeous. As always, we got there at dawn with beautiful views and then walked around the entire traffic jam. In the evening, we presented orders and certificates to all our participants and discussed with them plans for further climbs and travels.

Today, the festive excitement of the International Mountaineering Day continued on the Mountain!

Happy everyone! At the dinner, the participants were awarded medals and certificates for climbing the highest point in Europe.

The group climbed the Western summit of the massif, 5642 meters high, in full force. The "7YA" group sends greetings to everyone! Today we went to Pastukhov Rocks, at an altitude of 4700-4800 meters. On the way we trampled snow and ice, at the top we were slightly rocked by the wind. Sometimes beautiful views opened up, but mostly everything was in fog. Thus, our acclimatization cycle is complete. Only the final assault remains.  7.08. Hello everyone! The 7 Summits Club group "Moscow Longevity" made a rotation to acquire altitude acclimatization to Pastukhov Rocks, up to 4700 m! The weather at first pleased us with clarity, but soon completely changed in the opposite direction. Nevertheless, we reached the intended goal and safely descended to our refuge.

Now everyone is well-fed and happy, enjoying their rest. Tomorrow we have a day off and preparation for storming the summit of Elbrus.

The 7 Summits Club group "7YA" sends greetings to everyone! Yesterday we moved the National Park refuge, put our things away and went for a walk to the area of the Refuge of 11. There we conducted snow and ice training, training in mountain climbing techniques. We tumbled around with an ice axe, practicing self-arrest, and felt the slope with crampons. 6.08. Hello everyone! The 7 Summits Club group "Moscow Longevity" moved today to the National Park refuge, where we settled very comfortably for the next few days.

Then we went for a walk to the area of the Refuge of Eleven, at an altitude of 4100. There we held classes on the technique of moving on snowy terrain. The weather was not pampering, but we managed and worked everything out.

As always, the cooks pampered us with a wonderful lunch and dinner. It is impossible to lose weight, because it is too delicious!

The new group called "7YA" sends greetings from the slopes of Mount Cheget! We began our acclimatization with beautiful views and a cool walk along the trail. We traditionally climbed to the "Ai" cafe. It is still warm, but you can already feel autumn coming on the mountain. It is getting colder, sometimes even the snow falls. But basically, everything is great, we are following the plan. Today - the rental point, tomorrow - the ascent to the slopes of Elbrus.

We climbed the slopes of Mount Cheget and one of the most picturesque trails in the area to the "Ai" cafe (2700 m). The weather and the mood of the participants are excellent. 5.08. Hello everyone! The new group of the 7 Summits Club called "Moscow Longevity" today made an acclimatization hike to the slopes of Mount Cheget. We climbed a fabulous forest path, admired the Caucasian giant Elbrus! In the legendary cafe "Ai" we tried chebureks and herbal tea. The mood is fire!

Tomorrow, according to the plan, we climb to the shelter of the National Park.

The group "Aunt Charlie" climbed Elbrus today. The hot Brazilians started from 3880 meters (Gara-Bashi) and walked the entire route, without using a snowcat.
