The "Five Spartans" group is in touch! Today was a long day; we spent seven hours climbing to base camp. It was a hot day, making the going a bit tough, but we're Spartans, after all! We arrived at Aconcagua Base Camp at Plaza de Mulas by lunchtime. We settled into comfortable domos, had lunch, and showered. Then we rested and had dinner. Due to the poor weather forecast for the day after tomorrow, we plan to continue to Camp Canada at 5,050 meters instead of a rest day.
