The 7 Summits Club "Seven" group completed an acclimatization rotation with an overnight stay at 5,300 meters

 Good afternoon! The 7 Summits Club "Seven" group just descended from an acclimatization rotation and overnight stay at 5,300 meters on the slopes of Ojos del Salado.

The day before, we had driven our vehicles up to level ground without incident. We all pitched our tents together. We walked along the road/trail above camp. We had dinner and went to bed. This was our first time at such an altitude, and we also had an overnight stay. We generally slept, but not always, and not very well. But in the morning, everyone was in good spirits, quickly packed up camp, and descended safely to our Laguna Verde camp. Now we're resting and gathering strength for tomorrow!!!
