A cyclone came from Turkey, and with it a strong wind, sometimes up to 50 km / h and snow. The team confirmed its name "Platoon of easy behavior", we made an acclimatization climb to the Pastukhov Rocks. Tomorrow, according to the plan, there will be a day of rest and preparation for the summit ascent.

Boris Yegorov, the 7 Summits Club guide:  Today, our micro-team "Clever Beauties" climbed on the Western peak of Mount Elbrus! The blitz climb (only 3 days long) wasn't easy, but they did it! Congratulations to Larisa and Lilia on such a wonderful achievement!

News from the Elbrus region. The group led by the guide Andrey Berezin yesterday climbed on the top of Elbrus. After several days of bad weather, the day of the ascent was clear and sunny. From the summit, we had a stunning view of the Main Caucasian Ridge and the surrounding area.

This morning we went to the Azau station, from where we went by cable car to the refuge National Park. There we were met by the hospitable Zulya and fed a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, we went to the snow and ice training sessions in the area of the former Refuge Eleven. Tomorrow we plan to climb to the Pastukhov Rocks. Group guide Andrey Berezin.

Today, the joined group of the 7 Summits Club climbed Western Peak of Mount Elbrus. The weather was favorable for us this time. From the top, we had an impressive view of the surrounding expanse. The group guides are Andrey Berezin and Nikita Slotin.

On Elbrus, the weather is bad now: fog and precipitation.  Today, three groups of the 7 Summits Club reached the refuge “National Park” and settled in cabins.  They even had to dig up one of the cabins. After lunch, all the groups simultaneously went to snow and ice training sessions at an altitude of 4200 meters. The participants worked out interaction in a group, self-arrest with an ice axe, as well as movement on inclined fixed ropes. Tomorrow all groups plan to climb the Pastukhov Rocks.

The climbing season has begun on Elbrus. Now four groups are preparing to climb the highest point in Europe, Mount Elbrus. On the first day, the groups made an acclimatization rotation to the slopes of Cheget, to the Ai cafe (2100) or to the Terskol Observatory. The weather was warm in spring today, participants could observe beautiful Elbrus.  Tomorrow, according to plan, all groups will go up to the shelter National Park.

Alexey Lonchinsky, coach, guide of the 7 Summits Club from the Elbrus region: Good afternoon! Our team successfully spent last night at the refuge, and Igor Kamynin spent that night in a comfortable snow cave made by us day before! In the morning, we continued training on snow, and mastered the skills of building wind protection snow walls. In the afternoon we went down to the Azau Glade. At this point, all the tasks of the preparation courses for climbing Mount Everest, Denali and Antarctica can be considered successfully completed!!!

The new group arrived in the Elbrus region for training courses preparation for climbing Mount Everest, Denali and in Antarctica. Today we had an introductory and preparatory day. We learned how to set up tents, how to use burners, and also practiced climbing on fixed lines. In the afternoon, there was a lecture about the use of oxygen at eight-thousand meters peaks. Alexey Lonchinsky, coach, guide of the 7 Summits Club from the Elbrus region: The 7 Summits Club is completing the second group of training courses for climbing Mount Everest, Denali and  in Antarctica. All the days on Elbrus, the weather conditions were difficult. A lot of snow fell, avalanche danger appeared. However, the entire program was executed.

The course participants practiced on technical snow climbing skills and belay on snow slopes, basic skills of climbing on ice in crampons, organization of belay on ice screw, climbing with fixed lines. The participants learned how to set up a tent camp in the snow, build protective wind walls from firn blocks, tear off and equip snow caves.

Alexey Lonchinsky, guide of the 7 Summits Club from the Elbrus region: Yesterday, the second group of training  preparation courses for climbing Mount Everest, Denali and Antarctica arrived. Yesterday I checked the equipment, today we had a lecture on the use of public equipment (sledges, kitchen, tents). Then we went for a walk on snowshoes, set up a tent camp, and studied the operation of a gasoline burner. Then we repeated the movement on fixed lines and other techniques of working with the rope.

The first group of courses of the 7 Summits Club in preparation for climbing Mount Everest, Denali and in Antarctica has completed its work. On the final day, the team made an attempt to climb to the top of Elbrus. Due to the poor weather forecast, it was decided that it would be possible to limit the ascent to an altitude of about 5000 meters. The strong wind made reaching the summit too risky, and the conditions were quite harsh. See what the participants say about the course.

 The 7 Summits Club completes the first part of the preparation course for climbing Mount Everest, Denali and Antarctica. Alex Abramov from the slopes of Elbrus: The team of the 7 Summits Club training courses for Everest, Denali and Antarctica began practice on the slopes of Elbrus. Today we had a 4-hour trek to the camp on the glaciers of Elbrus. We went up with tents and sledges. The participants built their own camp, pitch tents, and two toilets made of snow blocks. They made their own dinner. In the evening, a blizzard began. The camp held out. Tomorrow we will have snow and ice classes and continue to strengthen our camp with protective walls of firn bricks. All participants are happy, very interesting program.

Alex Abramov from Elbrus region:  Today, the participants of the school of preparation for climbing Mount Everest, Denali, and Antarctica enthusiastically practiced all the necessary survival techniques on these mountains. These are: climbing on fixed ropes, pulling from crevasses, walking in snowshoes, setting up and protecting tents, cooking food. In the morning, all the girls, except for flowers and sweets, were given a snow shovel by the guides. In the evening, we celebrated the holiday on March 8 with champagne. Tomorrow, according to the plan, there will be an exit with tents on the glaciers of Elbrus for 2 days. We will learn how to set up a bivouac, build snow walls, heat snow and cook food, and even go to the toilet in bags. The day after tomorrow we will continue, we will have ice classes on real crevasses.

Training courses for Everest, Denali and Antarctica climbs have started in the Elbrus region. Today, the guides and some of the participants conducted a survey of the place of classes on Elbrus. We went on snowshoes on the glacier, dug caves. We prepared equipment:  sledges, ropes, oxygen, snowshoes, tents, food burners, and much more. The main group arrives tomorrow. The participants will have a fantastic adventure, a lot of unique knowledge and ascent on Elbrus.

The international team of climbers under the general leadership of the President of the 7 Summits Club Alexander Abramov continues to prepare for expeditions on K2 in the summer of 2021 and in the winter of 2021-2022. At this time, the teams train separately in their own mountains.

The national team of Kazakhstan from December 6 to 20 held training camps in the Tuyuk-su area.

Mountaineers of Kyrgyzstan continue to make difficult climbs in their native mountains, in Ala-Archa.

The Russian team under the leadership of its captain Alexander Yakovenko is in the Caucasus. Our climbers, according to the plan, go to the traverse of the Elbrus massif in the direction from West to East. It is planned to spend several nights (5 or 6) in "combat" conditions, including in the area of the summit.

Hello everyone from Elbrus! Yesterday the group Winter Blitz, climbed to the top of Mount Elbrus! It was sunny and beautiful! And it was very cold. But that didn't stop us. We stood on the top and admired the beauty, at a temperature of -43 degrees.

Guide of the 7 Summits Club Andrey Berezin: The group "Pole pole": “perseverance and tenacity” -  that's our motto! Well, and a little bit of luck. The weather today was surprisingly favorable to us. Bottom line: we climbed on the top in the afternoon, at 2 p.m. We were alone on Mount Elbrus! This is so unusual. These types of mountains views you will not see in the summer when the air is not so clear. Today we could even see the Turkish coast. And we fully enjoyed the beauty of the Caucasus peaks. The season is over, winter is ahead with other standards.

Guide Alexander Dorojukov from the Elbrus region: a group of the 7 Summits Club under the Blitz program today climbed the Western Peak of Mount Elbrus. We were very lucky with the weather, it was quite warm. We climb up quickly and in a good mood. The breeze was light and the colors as always were amazing.
