President of the 7 Summits Club company Alexander Abramov:

An incredible event in the History of Mountaineering has happened. For the first time in the History of mankind!  The 7 Summits Club project "Hungry Elbrus" ended with an amazing result. 14 participants and 3 guides spent 5 days of fasting in the Elbrus region and all 17 "hungry climbers" successfully ascended to the summit of the highest mountain in Europe - Elbrus. And they ascended at a very good pace.

This event can claim a World Record. All participants noted that both acclimatization and the ascent itself were easier than with a usual "well-fed" ascent. This is probably a new era in Mountaineering.

During the experiment, all participants drank only water and tea with honey or jam. But several participants drank only water. The process was observed by Doctor Myasnikov, who at 72 years old also climbed Elbrus hungry.

All the members lost at least 3.5 kg in 5 days. Alexander Abramov and Artem Gurshteyn lost the most. 7 kilograms each. The reason for this was that Artem drank only clean water.

And Abramov, probably because he led the expedition and spent nervous energy.

Participant Pavel Persidsky climbed on the 8th day of fasting, since before the project he had not eaten for 3 days.

Before the assault, I was very worried about the result. Suddenly someone would lose consciousness, but everyone was very cheerful and all 100% of the project participants climbed to the top of Elbrus hungry!!!

During the expedition, four cameramen and a director filmed its progress. Expect the release of the film "Hungry Elbrus" in about 2 months!

August 12. Greetings to everyone from the Elbrus region from the participants of the project "Hungry Elbrus"! The third (the hardest) day without food. And we decided to complicate it even more by climbing to the Pastukhov Rocks. Surprisingly, we reached the rocks quite quickly and simultaneously. And also simultaneously ran down. For better recovery before the assault, we decided to go down for one night. Here near the hotel, an evening of revelations was held by the fire. It turned out that almost everyone discovered a new source of strength and energy thanks to hunger. And Dr. Myasnikov even supported our conclusions with scientific data. But without spoilers - the details will be in the film!!!

And tomorrow morning, exercise, weighing and climbing up. At night - for the assault.

Super guides of the project "Hungry Elbrus" Alex Abramov, Denis Abramov and Lyudmila Korobeshko.

And also Dr. Myasnikov, cameraman Ilya Gladkikh and the Zavety film crew.

August 11. Greetings to everyone from Elbrus region from the participants of the "Hungry Elbrus" project!

And today we already had the second day without food. We climbed to the National Park refuge at 3900, settled in, "had lunch" (that is, drank tea) and went to the former Refuge of 11, where we conducted snow and ice training at an altitude of 4100 m. For several participants, this was a new altitude (they had not climbed to 4000 before). Everyone successfully learned how to hack themselves and their comrades with ice axes and cheerfully ran down to evening tea. And Dmitry Demchuk flew off on a snowboard (which he plans to drag to Summit).

In the evening, Dr. Myasnikov measured everyone's pulse and saturation. He found the health of the entire group to be quite satisfactory.

Tomorrow we are going to the Pastukhov Rocks. They say that the third day of fasting is the hardest. We will see...

Greetings to everyone from the slopes of Elbrus from the most cheerful group "Climbuli"! We waited out the bad weather, used the reserve day, and Elbrus rewarded us for this with a wonderful day and "million dollar" weather during the ascent, which our entire group made today.

We climbed to the top of Elbrus at a very brisk pace, having seen an incredible sunrise and other beautiful landscapes along the way. And by lunchtime we had already descended to Terskol.

Now the whole team is resting, preparing for the evening, where the participants of today's ascent will receive well-deserved memorable awards.

August 9. Hello to everyone from Elbrus! The unique "Hungry Elbrus" project started here today. 15 fearless participants gathered to test their strength and try to climb to the highest point in Europe without food. All this is filmed by a whole team of professional operators. Doctor Myasnikov is responsible for the medical aspects. And the ideological inspirer and guide of all this "outrage" is, of course, the legendary Alexander Abramov.

Immediately after arriving at the hotel, all the participants were interviewed. Then they had a ceremonial "farewell to food" - a fabulous dinner with baked lamb.

After dinner, everyone went to the fire, where they spent the evening getting to know each other and asking why each of the participants decided to undertake such an unusual experiment. It turned out that real heroes gathered here, ready to challenge themselves and test their strength.

Everyone solemnly swore that at midnight they would stop eating for seven whole days (more precisely, until the very top of Elbrus).

The die was cast. From tomorrow, everyone only drinks water (tea and honey are allowed in extreme cases).

The Southern Elbrus region and the "Highfive" group welcome! On August 8, we attempted to storm the Western summit of Elbrus, in a short weather window after a thunderstorm. Weather conditions (possibility of repeated thunderstorms, cloudiness, wind, precipitation) allowed to climb only to the height of 5250 m, after which the decision was made to turn around. The guests cope with all the difficulties of the big mountains with dignity.

We are preparing for the revenge from August 10 to 11 in full force.

On this day, there was a very strong wind, which prevented part of the team from reaching the summit. One member of the team with the guide climbed to the summit. But in principle, we can say that we were lucky with the weather, since we managed to climb the mountain before the thunderstorm and severe weather.

The guide of the 7 Summits Club Evgeny Fedyunin reports from the Elbrus region:

News from August 8. Hello everyone! The group "Moscow Eagles" of the 7 Summits Club today made an attempt to climb Western Elbrus 5642m! In the conditions of a thunderstorm front and a headwind snowstorm, it was not easy. Sometimes falling knee-deep (and this is in August!) in grainy snow, we were able to get through in 2.5 hours only to an altitude of 5200 m. Then all the groups together made an unambiguous decision to retreat! On the International Day of Mountaineering, Elbrus, as often happens, showed its harsh disposition and character!

In the evening there was a gala dinner with conversations and plans for new Mountains!
